What is missing from this image is a vertical line rising from the middle yellow line infront of the recipient of the pass. As in Pukki's case his head (armpit) is in an offside position (IMO)

Like you, no DAB here. I've noticed the sound quality has deteriated over the past few years, I guess they are reducing the signal strength. I had to go to Gressenhall Sunday, from Norwich, and lost Radio Norfolk by Lenwade.

He had a full time job, but could not afford a mortgage due to the 'affordability tests' lenders are required perform. He ended up renting, costing more than a mortgage on the same house!! (this was an option we investigated). On your other point, we spent 3 years renovating our first terraced house. Every penny went on that, then we moved to our current home (1983) where we then spent 10yrs renovating. Nights out were few and far between. One car that was 10+ yrs old, and holidays were working on the house ALL day. That does not appear to sit with current society.

Their part was harder than mine, they got their degrees 🙂 My daughter has/is getting a 40yr term mortgage to keep the repayments down so she can maintain her lifestyle. This was never an option when we were first buying.

Fair Question, my pinion on that is NO, but All 3 went to uni & then came home. The youngest (27) is now desprate to have her own space (in the process of buying a flat). She has a close group of freinds who take turns in having everyone round for meals/games nights etc etc which she can't do at home! The middle son is looking for a house as he feels now is the right time for him. 5 viewings this weekend! The eldest will move out when he gets his first job in his chosen career. Dad can say/suggest now is not the best time to buy, wait a little bit longer. Some will listen & some will not. Either way dad will help anyway he can (some will mum 🙂)

Like many on here, I remember interest rates of 17% When we bought our first house, all of my wifes sallary paid the mortgage, and mine was for everything else. 2 of our children are currently active first time buyers, one offer accepted & the other is into viewings. While I feel for anyone with a mortgage, lets not forget that the interest rates of the recent past are not the norm, and as others have said 5% is closer to the norm. Many years ago I was a 'shop steward' and had been invited to sit in on the year's pay negotiations. There had been a number of meetings, but the management were not giving anything. In this particular meeting, after 4 hours of going nowhere, a voice from my left (Shop floor steward) asked the Finace Director a question: John "FD, am I right that my thoughts are my own?" FD " Yes John, your thoughts are your own, but what is your point, I see no relevance to our meeting" John "Just that I've been sitting here thinking, but they are my thoughts, and there is nothing you can do, is that correct?" FD "Yes John, there is nothing I can do, so would you like to share your thoughts? you never know they just might help us!" John " Well since you asked so nicely, I think you are a Can't" To which everyone, including the MD, sniggered under ther breath and the meeting was adjourned for coffee.

Sadly, I don't think he has anyone, who he actually listens to, who can fill that role! As has been said many times, both he and Emi were in a similar place 2+ years back. Emi got his head down, Tod didn't.
