  1. I thought the same, however it would take quite a collapse to displace AG I feel.
  2. Lee Henderson; now there's a guy who has had to graft to earn a living in football. Part of the Colchester demolition squad at City in 'that' match, and still playing for Rochdale I believe? Must be around mid 40s by now
  3. More likely a combination of the many coaches and ,managers he had since being here. In any case he has certainly improved and long may it continue. Would like to see Tzolis have more game time but a loan may be more beneficial to us in the same way as Placheta
  4. Wonder what motivated him to buy the club in the first place? It hasn't worked out so he is off, feel for the decent Wednesday fans. It's clearly going to end in tears (and relegation)
  5. Lets hope they put in a performance akin to earlier in the season. Otherwise it's going to be quite hostile this afternoon I suspect, unfortunately. Hoping for a couple of changes to the team that started against Leicester, Placheta and Forshaw in for starts would be good. Would not mind seeing Gibbs heavily involved as well.
  6. I thought he might have done better with probably two of those goals on another day. However, we met a team determined to put in a performance and our lot thought they could just rock up and waltz off with 3 points. Hopefully lesson learned
  7. From the sad state of his post, I suspect he is in more danger or wearing out the palm of his dominant hand than a button! Another binner from the shadows comes out, quell surprise.
  8. It worked out enough for us to completely overhaul the training ground, the recruitment set up, continue the Cat 1acadamy status and of course a couple of championship titles.
  9. Lets be fair here. If someone spilt a tin of emulsion in that grotty town centre, it could be classed as a 'new project.' And would certainly be seen as an immediate improvement.
  10. Spot on. He certainly does still point and direct things as do the others. In any case it's working well for now
  11. Same starting 11 I suspect as yesterday. Could be a very, very difficult game for us as we clearly miss the dynamism of a certain missing forward
  12. Kenny McClean has (in my opinion) turned from a decent club midfielder into a superb captain on the pitch for us this season, just when we needed it and long may it continue. Watching yesterday, he was again directing the game, speaking continually to team members and leading through an example of effort and commitment. His promotion to captain has certainly coincided with an upturn in performance from both himself and the team. Great effort Captain Kenny, keep up the good work.
  13. From my most recent experience, I suggest the A17 is more apt?
  14. Not sure if he broke sweat during that appearance.
  15. Personally, I'd get rid of him. He offers nothing new, repeats ad nauseum and clings on to the past like a small child clutching a grubby teddy. And while we are at it get rid of that other absolute cretin 'Heading South' or what ever his name is. Why do we always seem to get the pathetically dim ones on here. There must be the odd 'normal' one who posts on twats forum?
  16. I'll be up in Uddersfield cheering him on as our No 9
  17. Not sure why you are tolerated on here binner. However, keep calling someone a co(k (despite who it is) on this forum (you need WOTB for insults like that) and you will be fu9ked off back to bin land by admin pretty soon hopefully. With your 'near the knuckle' posts you must feel very secure and smug here.
  18. Kenny was superb, as was Giannoulis and Duffy.
  19. A Barnes type character is crucial for a team like us who on occasion has a soft under belly. He is simply loving being in the team and relishing every scrap, argument, challenge and contested moment it seems. The fact he is playing so well himself is a bonus. A shrewd signing
  20. My thoughts exactly, unfortunately Quite happily be seeing city go to Loftus Rd right now for a league game.
  21. Unfortunately our relegation in the mid 90s (following generally a good period football wise) was a turning point for us. The following season the TV money stared to roll in for PL teams and we missed out for 9 years. Who knows what that sustained investment would have done for us. I remember the painful Ward and Newsome transfers well. For many years, I thought we would never recover fully from that relegation and missed investment (not really sure we have). However, it can not be missed that we have been given chances to establish ourselves with serious amounts of PL TV money and make that step up and have failed every time. Clubs like us can't afford to miss those chances but we do, regularly. I do actually feel we have made incremental advancements but hardly earth shattering. I also remember Chase stating we need an average crowd of 16,000 to keep the club going forward...........difficult days
