  1. It is what it is at the moment. Unless we strive to achieve promotion each time, we will stagnate and sink down the leagues. Pitiful situation, but that's the environment at the moment. We need promotions to stand still, end of.
  2. Opinions I guess He may not have been our best (defining best might be difficult) player, but I do feel he is our 'player of the season' for many reasons.
  3. Sounds like you are. Unfortunately your opening post comes across as rude and crass towards one of our top professionals. For some reason, I'm sure you're a binner? It would make sense
  4. Not really noticed it but do like the title 'Norwich City' as that is what we are. In any case I'm happy with any of: Norwich, Norwich City, Norwich City FC, The Canaries or just the usual one, 'Pride of Anglia'
  5. From what I saw (albeit a limited view) there were a group of ippo fans being escorted by police down thorpe rd towards the ground and it looked like a group of city fans waiting near the junction just before the ground. As they approached, it kicked off but the police were there fairly quick and made arrests.
  6. 100% they wilted under the big game atmosphere and noise the city fans made throughout. It may have helped if their support decided to step up however, they spectacularly failed to do so, again!
  7. Just about spot on. Very poor support from them considering they were top of the table. Quiet before, during and for obvious reasons, after the game
  8. The whole city was up for that as was the players in seems. Atmosphere outside the ground was superb (some unsavoury and funny moments which I will comment on later). it was just one of those days, from walking into the City up Westlegate then down POW Rd past a number of city filled pubs, you could sense the expectation and feel the occasion. Had a funny moment outside Riverside spoons around 11:30 when group of fans were being escorted over the bridge. The gathered city fans thought they were ippo supporters and suddenly the atmosphere turned quite aggressive really quickly. The amusing thing was that this group realising the pub had turned towards them started singing city songs and were clearly (for reasons unknown) just being escorted by the police. The noise outside spoons was reminiscent of times past and it was thick with green smoke and colour. But around the ground there was a definite edge to it all. Off we went to the ground and we decided as we were early to walk around it. Walking behind the city stand thinking we realised we were actually 20-30meters behind a small group of 5-6 late teenage / early 20s ipswich fans all wearing their team shirts. They offered no aggression and received none in return which was good to see. However, (possibly due to being ignored and god only knows why) when at the back of the Barclay they started a very quiet chant and I think that sealed their fate when they ran into a less than charitable bunch. Two were unceremoniously thrown into a nearby hedge and there then seamed to follow one scrap after another as a large group of supporters came down from the Thorpe area. The policing and separation of supporters was quite poor I thought before the game especially near the corner of the Barclay and South stand. Anyway, we didn't make it round the whole way. Inside the ground the atmosphere and subsequent support and noise from the city fans was absolutely superb throughout. I have no idea what was going on with the ippo support but it was simply abysmal throughout the game, no idea what as going on there. probably one of the worst I have seen there, quite shocking really. It is in my opinion that our support roared the team on to victory today. Cheers all.
  9. Best atmosphere since beating Man city I think.
  10. They're keen. Was looking at getting there for around 11, in time for 'the march' 🙂
  11. We will have when Rowe is back. Now that's a sub and a half to bring on
  12. I am struggling to see any of them fronting up our players. Duffy being on the pitch would probably ensure that😅
  13. Exactly this, spot on. It is noticeable how quickly weak people follow 'sheep like' the loud moaners especially at the ground (and on here) with regards to KM. Unable to make their own reasonable assessment. Yet we have seen Sara (who is a superb player) make numerous mistakes in games and there is not a single peep out of the same negatively minded people. He is an easy target for those who like to whinge. Is he a PL top class midfielder? I don't know. Is he a top class Champs midfielder? 100% yes. Start supporting his efforts and we will reap the rewards.
  14. That's about the state of it. Some innocent town fan gets attacked simply because a cretin from a support who are not known for trouble decided to hit a pensioner in Cardiff. Whilst that act is disgusting, it is not right to castigate their whole fan base over it.
  15. Had we replaced Brian Gunn the season we were relegated in 94/95, we would have a: stayed up and b: been the receivers of the extra money handed to all teams the following year due to the tv deal and as a result it would have changed our history going forward. That was the moment
  16. I'd imagine the queue to fill those seats will be very, very short
  17. I'd imagine the queue to fill those seats will be very, very short
  18. That will not stop clubs (including yourselves possibly) looking to put in a bid on a striker who looks the real deal against everyone he comes up against. Unfortunately.
  19. Unfortunately it's the way it is. If we fail to go up I suspect two or three of Rowe, Sargent, Sara, Sainz and Gunn will go, and want to go. However, we have been here before and we will build again. In any case there is a good chance we hit the playoffs and anything could happen. OTBC
  20. This unfortunately is it. Most teams try to do it and we are not too bad at it in this league. However, there are people who go to the games who literally have no idea what they are watching tactically wise, yet will criticise the minute it doesn't go as they feel it should. Bizarre
  21. I hope that's true. Absolute cretins moaning about our own player who was probably our most productive one again, today. Some old melt behind me never raises a single note of support for the team, yet one of the numerous passes by KM goes astray and we get a loud and utterly pathetic 'waat yer doin Mercleeen' shout from him! I just wish they would bog off and let someone else take their seat. Pathetic support from certain sections at times.
