  1. It's a discussion. Nobody said you're a referee or support another team
  2. And you would have done that for the opposition? I think there is some dishonesty going on here.
  3. Yes, but if he had scored would you prefer the ref scrap it and pull it back to a penalty?
  4. My opinions are about a fair game of football. I'm a Norwich fan and want to win fairly. I find your comment odd
  5. How would you honestly feel if an opposition player evaded a foul, stayed on his feet then went on to miss an open goal. then the ref brings it back for a pen? Be honest here. As a Norwich fan I would feel hard done by. Aggrieved.
  6. Completely agree. However: The problem I have is if the referee had stopped it and awarded a penalty and it was then missed we would all be up in arms idah wasn't allowed to go on and score. Play went on and idah missed an open goal, but he was under pressure and forced wide. Now we think it should have been a penalty because he didn't score. I would hate to be a ref at this time. Fans tend to apply the rules of the game to what may benefit their team and it can go either way.
  7. The ref carried on because the player chose and was able to play on to take advantage of a goalscoring opportunity. I simply can't put any blame on the ref. It's not really a debate.
  8. Is it prince Harry banging on it for his worldwide privacy tour?
  9. The idiots? Says you. I have answered the question. Have a nice evening
  10. Obviously this is a loaded question and you're demanding an answer so ok. Here is my answer and it has nothing to do winning in the short term - integrating new talent and diversifying tactics - building a base for young and new players to have a chance in the England squad. - setting an example that talent can overcome experience and favouritism - playing for a big club doesn't mean you automatically qualify for playing for the country. To win anything we need to build from the ground.
  11. You absolutely can ask me. what we should do then is give him another ten year contract and hope it works out . Management doesn't work this way in football.
  12. My posts aren't ridiculous or unsubstantiated. My comments about Southgate are popular opinion and as far as I'm concerned are correct. There are a group of people on this forum that will go after people that don't support their collective narrative.
  13. I'm not responding to this nonsense in any detail. It's 7 years and hasn't worked. Get a life.
  14. An average to poor manager that has now been in place for 7 years as England manager. He didn't have the credentials or experience to manage the England senior team in the first place. He possibly had the easiest run of fixtures ever seen on the world stage when he got to the finals in one major tournament. He has a propensity for sticking to his favourites and his tactics have never evolved. It's been 7 years and it's gone stale. Time to move on.
  15. My opinion differs, but you're entitied to yours.
  16. Southgate is an overrated disaster of an England manager. The fact he is still in place is laughable.
  17. Is Millwall still a dodgy ground for away fans? Never been myself but I haven't heard of any violence in recent years.
  18. Not seen much of anything in the cameos hes's had since coming back. You would expect to see at least flashes of promise, something to build on. Admittedly he's not had much time, but he doesn't get on the ball at all.
  19. Arguably his only successful stint as a manager was managing us. He never replicated that elsewhere.
