1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iH6WgKkxt5Y   I must say I like the look of Koulibaly
2. Linked to a host of clubs. Everton, West Brom etc. Captain of their team, 23 years old and also Danish international. I''d be very, very happy with him and another big player like Koulibaly or N''Koulou (who is now linked with Chelsea unfortunately)
3. Wisdom leaves way too much space for my liking and backs off a lot. Hopefully AN can sort this trait out sharpish. Either way, we haven''t had a really decent RB since Naughton. Whittaker can be good going forward, but over-committed and clumsy at the back.   Looking forward to Olsson coming back on the left and using Brady further forward. Really hope Mulumbu comes back strong too
4. Few rumours on Twitter that we''ve had 20m euro bid rejected, which is about ÂŁ15m so not sure which one is supposed to be true.. 15m euros or 15m pounds
5.
His Mum seems to be a big influence on him and helps keep his feet on the ground. Am sure he would be talking to her about the best way forward in his career. Maybe send her some flowers, show her hoe much he is loved here and get her to have a word with him to nudge him in the right direction.
Lol I like this. All yellow and green flowers of course
6. Nathan Redmond is one of the most level-headed players we have. I have no worries about his contract being sorted tbh. As the article says, the best place for him is with us and Alex Neil. If AN leaves, then I will worry! Lol.
7. http://www.themag.co.uk/2015/08/newcastle-to-make-second-bid-for-benik-afobe-according-to-claims/ That''s the link to Newcastle''s second bid
8.
Story is we are putting in an improved offer of over ÂŁ8.5m, this will test Wolves resolve.
Are you sure it''s us linked with a second bid as Newcastle are supposedly bidding for him again? Last thing we need is a bidding war. Genuinely think we''ll need to move on to other targets sharpish
9.
Don''t know enough about Griffiths to be confident in him at this level but from what little I''ve seen he looks like a player who will run in behind the defence more than Hooper. We know Alex Neil likes that in a striker, you''ve only got to look at his faith in Grabban to see that. Hooper is clearly a very good finisher and its a shame that he''s never going to get regular games for us; the issue with Hooper is that he needs someone up front with him - not many teams can tactically afford to play two up front. Hooper also won''t constantly put defenders under pressure when they have the ball, it''s not his game. I''d prefer others we''ve been linked with to be honest but will obviously support him if we do sign him
Spot on about AN liking strikers that run in behind the defenders and also chase down from the front. He''s already stated that he sees Hooper as a player who drops deep and links play, which means he is more of a second striker and competing with Hoolahan if anything. I think Mbokani would have been ideal or someone in that mould
10.
Panic over, thought it was a serious sports journalist with insider knowledge, but no its John Cross, it is and never was going to happen.
I hope you''re right
11. I don''t know why (don''t think Afobe has said anything in the media?), but I have the impression he wouldn''t go down the striking route etc. when he''s only recently signed for them. However, I don''t really know anything about him and he was at Arsenal not so long ago so maybe he thinks he should get back to the PL asap.. either way, there is also Villa to think about. Personally think we will move on from this quite quickly, but you never know. Bit worried about the Griffiths rumour. Rather we targeted someone like Shane Long (now that Rodriguez is back), but let''s see what happens.
12. What about Shane Long? Rodriguez is back and they already have Pelle so I imagine Long will become 3rd choice. He would be a cracking player and can do the lone role well
13.
Good player, has bags of pace and can finish well (see FCR a couple of weeks ago) but does also miss a fair few a la our very own Grabban.
In which case, is there any point? Perhaps that''s why we haven''t been linked with him. Mbokani and Afobe were the 2 players I was most excited about, but if they''re not happening and there''s no one else like them then maybe we will sack it off after all and stick with what we have.. I don''t think that''s what we''ll do though personally I just hope we don''t make a Becchioesque signing i.e. swap Hooper for Griffiths.
14. I''d 100% prefer him to Jelavic/Griffiths/Lafferty/RvW.
15. Here you go - Statement taken from the Wolves website: Response to speculation In response to some media speculation this morning, Benik Afobe was bought from Arsenal in January 2015, and other players arrived in the summer, to strengthen the team for the strongest possible challenge on promotion this season. Therefore, neither Benik nor any of Wolves’ first team forward players, will be sold this season. Benik has developed into a player of key importance to Wolves and the Club’s plans for this campaign. Wolves have previously resisted the opportunity to sell other key first team players in this and other recent transfer windows. As far as the Club is concerned there is no need for any further comments or speculation about this issue. 16.
Its the manager who''s made the statement (bit like Bruce) but clubs rarely do transfer business with the manage, so his comments may not stand much weight. It depends what substantial is, how aggresive NCFC want to be and how serious. Would be a great signing
I thought Wolves actually released their own statement prior to Jackett coming out with his ''hands-off'' warning?
17. Lol. Well he''s more ''mobile'' than Hooper and may suit us better. Could just as easily go for someone like Gray though. I thought we wanted a tallish, athletic, pacey sort of striker like Jerome, but who knows. I guess Griffiths would be like a little wasp and could be quite useful up front, even in the lone role. Certainly scored goals at whatever levels he''s played at.
18. I think Grabban''s movement and ball control are miles better than Simeon''s ever was. His shooting from distance is better too. I do think he will miss as many as he scores, but he''s certainly better than SJ was. Either way though, a quality signing would be great. I think Afobe is a no-go and Mbokani looks as dead as the Destro signing (who I wasn''t too bothered about anyway as he doesn''t seem to fit our style of play and is a slight gamble). Hopefully AN has another decent option lined up..and I don''t mean Jelavic or Murray!
19. Could see Elliott Bennett being swapped/sacrificed for Antonio if we were indeed interested. Already have Whittaker/Wisdom at RB and he''s never really got himself much time on the right wing (even less on the left). AN even said he was looking at RB as more of a position for him, but I''m not sure we can afford to keep him for the sake of 3rd choice RB
20. Would definitely be very happy with this. One of the top-performing midfielders on last season and started this season well too. Still a good age and pacey as hell. I agree about Brady/Redmond being injured too. Would leave us playing Johnson/Dorrans/Howson out wide or Elliott Bennett if he''s played on the wing rather than RB
21.
I think the statement was black and white ... He ain''t going anywhere. Stupid money may shake their resolve but can you see us forking out 10M? Even then that may not turn their head.
^This^ Shame, as he seems a perfect understudy/competition/cover for Jerome, but can''t see it happening. Mbokani would have been great too. Looked a good option for lone striker. I wasn''t overly optimistic about Destro being a hit here. Having watched clips of him he seems more like RvW than anything else. Really not sure who we''ll go for now.. there must be more options left for AN. Just not Glenn Murray!!
22. I certainly see it as an opportunity too if we''re still in the Prem next season. How about a cool sponsor like Lotus again rather than Digital Phone Company (or whatever they were called) or Flybe!
23. God it all sounds a bit too sensible on here with the last few posts. I agree though.. I think AN is trying to force a few things through and make his intentions clear. At least he isn''t just denying everything. When he gets asked about a player he seems to be giving genuine answers, which is refreshing. Not just "we''ll tell you when there''s something to report". More like "yes, he''s been discussed" or "that''s news to me"
