  1. I don't think that the border checks actually start until 30th April?
  2. I didn't realise Barry John had passed away 😧 Only days after JPR, too
  3. According to a report in 2008, the old farm derby ranked 2nd in England Link to pdf of report available on wikipedia These kind of things depend on the criteria used, I guess
  4. Silver medal for England in the handball prediction league 😊 I couldn't watch a whole game, but the last 5 minutes of close games were worth a look. France beat Denmark in the final in overtime. If they had won in normal time, I'd have been top..
  5. How many here had Luton Town membership cards back in the 1980's 😃 I went to a football program shop in Bungay and bought a load of LTFC programs from the season before that had the vouchers in
  6. other than the ones mentioned up to the early 90´s, I´ll go for Orient in 78
  7. Guerilla Cricket is good, if you don´t mind some occasional swearing
  8. Then The USA needs to find an alternative way of retaining its interests and influence in Europe and the North Atlantic
  9. When the sea freezes over, it's possible to walk from Russia to The USA. They're only 2.5 miles apart at the neighbouring Diomede Islands
  10. Russia already has several borders with NATO
  11. I don't know about best or worst... but Ian Crook going (or not) to 1p5wich ultimately had to be the funniest 😃
  12. "The expansion means they will be able to register in the constituency of the last address at which they were resident if they are able to provide relevant documentation, or failing that, through local records or on the word of an eligible British resident." I understand that scrapping the 15 year rule was part of the conservative manifesto, but registration on the basis of "on the word of an eligible British resident" is pushing it a bit! Personally, I'm undecided whether to vote in the Sevenoaks constituency at the next election, as I will have been gone for over 6 years. Perhaps there should be special overseas constituencies for British immigrants to other countries instead of based on the last address
  13. .....or a song title for a Salford band. Do yourself a big favour...don't press play!
  14. I was there for that one. We were visiting family in Hull. I managed to convince my old man it was only a short trip across the M62...😊
  15. I had heard that the Faroese had 5,000 supporters with them. That's an amazing turnout. I think there are a few thousand over from Iceland too. After Montenegro won earlier, Iceland is guaranteed a place in the next group stage
  16. I suspect I know the answer to this, but anyway..... Anyone watching or interested in the current European championship currently being played in Germany? I'm not a huge fan myself, but it is getting a lot of coverage here Iceland drew their first game after being 2 goals down with about 30 seconds left. Faroe islands did something similar against Norway. I think this might be their first "big" international tournament, so there is a fair few of them out there.
  17. All good thanks Other than the poor bloke who fell in a crack last week, nobody has been hurt The question now is to ensure that the residents get the support they need
  18. It´s happened again! One small fissure has opened up inside the defences that were built, and has claimed it´s first house. The lava outside the defences has largely been kept at bay so far. We will have to wait and see how much damage is caused. Everyone that was still in the town were evacuated early this morning Last Wednesday, one poor soul, who was working on filling in one of the cracks that formed late last year, disappeared. It is thought that somehow the crack opened up and he fell 20 metres plus into the ground. They looked for 2 days but there was no sign of him. It was a really difficult search as the crack was very narrow at the top, and also rocks would fall in
  19. When they play skins v binliners in training, I still don't want them to win 😊
  20. Tuesday, according to the bbc Same night as Bristol City v West Ham To quote The Stranglers, "Something Better Change"
  21. The conservatives in Dover pulled the same stunt. Replaced the "naughty tory" sex offender & opponent of Universal credit, Charlie Elphicke, who now claims Universal credit as nobody wants to employ him, with his wife, Natalie The Tiverton & Honiton conservatives are understood to be considering standing someone called "John Deere" at the next general election
  22. It's pretty good, but they missed Dominic Cummings Possibly Jon Pertwee? Any other suggestions?
