SHINE A LIGHT AT HULL ON FRIDAY.
Coneys Knee replied to TIL 1010's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Great idea, sends a message to the board without the guilt of being negative towards the team -
Would be good if this could get pinned at the top. Superbly put.

Webber still in control of the club?
Coneys Knee replied to cambridgeshire canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Wouldn’t surprise me. Didn’t MWJ say in one of the AGM interviews that Webber was still contracted until March? Not gonna lie I’ve suspected this for some time. They could tell us anything. we’d never know. -
The one tweet that summed up the match

There needs to be some kind of “you wouldn’t sing either if you had to watch the drivel we’ve had to watch” retort to that, cos we’re gonna be hearing it a whole lot more . Step up you football song writers -
What passing style? We don’t have a style let alone a passing one! Unless you’re talking about that thing we do where we get to the halfway line and slowly work our way sideways and backwards? Edit - sorry I just re-read your post!

This is he’s probably one of the few coaches that could actually get this squad of dinosaurs organised and get a tune out of them.

Do the boo boys believe they are helping our club?
Coneys Knee replied to Rhino1's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
And all of this could have been prevented had the club taken a whole host of different decisions -
Is knapper napping?
Coneys Knee replied to Dean Coneys boots's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I agree. I also stick to what I’ve been saying for sometime now. I genuinely believe that until Delia & MWJ’s influence is fully withdrawn, then nothing significant will change worryingly. For me, what needs to happen with the utmost urgency (delia and Michael aside) is a total overhaul of our recruitment setup. -

In fairness, carrying out a full review of football operations in this absolute mess was never going to be a five minute job -

Ha! Cue “he’s found his level retorts -
I’d like to see some of those youngsters do stint abroad like Cantwell did. We’re always led to believe that coaches on the continent are far more technical than their league 1/2 counterparts. True or not I don’t know but I think it’s an area potentially worth reigniting especially for the British youngsters.

Im not going back anywhere. I’m not really talking about specific regimes, I merely talking about how he’s not wrong in pointing out that that training schedule looked dreadful. He was just using the Farke era as a marker to highlight the difference. No problem in doing that. It’s normal to compare one thing against another, it’s how you are able to recognise when something is better or worse than something else. You even did it yourself there, making a comparison to the halcyon days of 92/93. I had better training sessions when I played Sunday league. Another comparison. If that snippet of training is representative of training in general, it’s worrying, and probably goes some way to explaining why the quality of football were producing is so sub standard.

He’s not wrong though is he!

Jaden Warner; Off on loan?
Coneys Knee replied to cambridgeshire canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
It’s a shame because offensively I really like McCallum but defensively he’s all over the place. -
Reasons for Wagner to stay?
Coneys Knee replied to Canary Jedi's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
This is not a strong league. The fact we’re so close to the playoffs despite playing so poorly shows that surely? -
Reasons for Wagner to stay?
Coneys Knee replied to Canary Jedi's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I think there’s no sense or need to be in a hurry to sack him. This season is a write off. Yes we are still in touch with the playoffs but the reality is we’re not good enough to be one of those 4 come end of season. Equally we have a very small risk of relegation. So whilst I don’t think Wagner is our long term solution, I’d rather he stay put and we do our homework on a potential replacement in the background. Take our time and hopefully minimalist the risk of another balls up of an appointment. There is also the fact that there are bigger problems at this club than David Wagner! -
I understand what you’re tying to say, that the balance of the game, not considering the number of good chances they had, represented a drab 0-0 or 0-1, but you can’t just take away those big saves that Gunn made as meaningless.
-
Branstin, I admire the staunch defence of your argument. I also happen to agree with your obvious dislike for the age of statistics (which in my opinion is sanitising football but that’s another discussion). BUTTTT, without Gunn in goal it would have been a 2, 3 or 4 nil game that cannot be denied.

Over to you Knapper/Attanasio
Coneys Knee replied to JonnyJonnyRowe's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I am guilty of it yes. Maybe we’re waiting for everybody else to start as the catalyst. -
Southampton Predictions
Coneys Knee replied to Midlands Yellow's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
What a weird fixture. Whilst I’ve always been one of those that would never want us to lose, on this occasion, in light of the 1p5wich situation, I must admit, I’m torn! I’ll take an entertaining 5-6 defeat -

Coneys Knee replied to JonnyJonnyRowe's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
They won’t though will they? They should, but they won’t. Norwich fans are mute. -
I don’t think that would have any effect if I’m honest. The ground is already half empty. I never notice it when I’m there but when you watch any “highlights”, the amount of empty seats is really noticeable. Unfortunately ticket sales aren’t the big income anymore so it’s not the impact it once would’ve been. The only real way of sending a message is if the crowd turn en masse, not against Wagner - he’ll be gone sooner or later regardless. It needs to be aimed at her akin to the Chase Out era. It is the only way she’ll realise that time is up. Unfortunately, the modern day Norwich City supporter doesn’t have it in them to do so.
