  1. Don''t forget Watkins is available too should the need arise.
  2. Vrancic out wide? Guy barely runs for a bus let alone a ball. You''re then leaving that right side uneven. Wes has significantly upped his defensive behaviour since Farke has arrived and how the guy keeps going at 35 is beyond me. I''d go with KC''s suggestion and swap Vran for Wes and ever does the Vrancic conundrum continue. Probably have some Murphy time second half.
  3. I sniff stats KC, be careful flaunting them around like that
  4. I saw Vrancic run for a tackle the other day at least twice and I nearly fell over. A luxury player that doesn''t work so well in the Championship. Like many have said already, when you have Maddison, Pritch and Wes in form where does Vran fit in? Moreover, especially when we could do with more width from a Murphy or a Wildschutt. The conundrum that continues.
  5. I think BYG is spot on, we''ll all getting a little carried away. Anyway City 1st you hate the stats men and the formation crowd but ultimately they convey the reality of how the game is won and how the teams that face each other work out how to beat one another. BYG is anchoring themselves for the inevitable dip we always seem to hit at this point. My overriding concern like BYG''s is by pushing ourselves against Arsenal have we left ourselves to drop points against a play off rival and Portugal? My gut is saying goals in our attacking 3rd need to start happening. Watkins is back now thankfully and with the goal Murph scored hopefully means the lad is back to his old self. My concern really sits with Jerome and Oliveira as both have hardly been pulling up trees. Maybe we all got a little used to the buccaneering forward play of last season I don''t know, I just hope we can maintain a play off place and the hype and love for the team and club itself remains.
  6. Great and entertaining game with an incredible atmosphere. Well done to all. Highlights however the need for a striker in Jan. We’ve also been incredibly unfortunate with injuries too probably not the best time for an injured Maddison. But then Naismith is due back soon (?) and it’s still of worth note to mention we’re very much a work in progress generally .
  7. Good article. Slightly marred by Sheff Utd fans comments trolling below it. Shame, I feel I''m starting to dislike them as much as I dislike Wolves and the binlords.
  8. Hi all, Pubs for the Arsenal game please? Many thanks!
  9. In a roundabout way Vince is right - why has it taken so long to notice the academy wasn''t pulling its weight? I would guess, it''s my guesswork entirely so if it comes across naïve then whatever, but the money and focus was pushed towards staying in the Premier League those times we were up and diverted from the academy and it''s development. Who develops the developers if you like. The priority in that view was PL stability refocus on the academy. Unfortunately we know how the story ended. But on the flip side, better late than never with Webber''s overhaul and hopefully we can, in future, start producing better talent for development.
  10. Confucius would say "It is not Ipswich you hate but perhaps the colour blue... "
  11. I''m sorry if I offend any of you but I hate Birmingham.
  12. For once we get props. Interesting article. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41564471
  13. Agreed Horse Renoir - I learned the hard way as a kid (Euro ''96, World Cup ''98) not to bother with England. They bore the heck out of me and ultimately lead to disappointment. I can''t help shake the whole bald hooligan thing either. I''m 1/4 Welsh so the Euros last year was a good as it got for me, it was amazing to see the unity on display from the Welsh!
  14. Getting good talent, nurturing it so we can turn a profit on future sales is all part of the development process for the player(s). The fact we''re doing this with more foresight now is excellent and will mean the club is sustainable. I have absolutely no idea as to why you''d think this is a bad concept Lincoln. Sure we all get attached to good players (Redmond, Jacob, Forster) but ultimately that''s the nature of a club like ours. We have to enjoy the players and their talents whilst they''re here and hope they help the current team forward. I see no evidence Webber isn''t forging a collective togetherness. His comments about youth players learning not only to be better players but better people are a breath of fresh air. How is that not commendable especially in this day and age of short-sightedness and big egos with bigger bucks.
  15. Thank you! You don''t even know how long that''s been bothering me! Months. Absolutely months
  16. For the life of me I cannot fathom out what your avatar is Big Vince. It looks like two phalluses with legs rubbing butts together. What is it? It is two phalluses Big Vince?
  17. I would say I sit somewhere in the middle. I would prefer to be positive about NCFC all the time but the fact is I do enjoy criticising elements of our game/club when apt. I''m not going to slate anyone for being a happy clapper though, if that''s what you enjoy carry on doing it! What does bug me though is the perpetual doom mongering about the board from the usual suspects who shouldn''t be allowed access to a computer.
  18. Ultimately, it''s a forum for discussing all things Norwich, and that includes critiques of the players that have worked or haven''t worked out for us. Most of us being British however default to the nit-picking side as a standard because we love a negative take on things. I love reading Football365''s Losers section more because it makes for interesting reading. I''m not going to apologise for that but it''s not a Polyanna world we live in.
  19. Im sure I''ll be leaving myself open to Indy Bones interjection :D but Naismith has come to represent Alex Neil''s albatross as Van Wolfswinkel became Hughton''s. Both cost us a lot of money for little return.
