1.

As I just said on another thread. I think we''re dead certs for the top 4. Top 2 is going to be a tougher ask. I actually agree with the Leeds fan. We played well last night but we didn''t threaten enough or make our dominance count. Promotion winning teams do.  Still lots of encouraging signs though
You were the best team that has come to E.R though. I was at the game vs Charlton and they didn''t look as good on the ball but at the back they were very solid and organised. I also think Leeds have been poor since the Liverpool defeat and I think we can take a big confidence boost from last night cos I think you deseved to get something from the game.
Always good to hear that from opposition fans. Doesn''t give us three points however. Football is all about cutting edge which I think is what we lack against the better teams. Don''t suppose you fancy loaning us Beckford or Snodgrass do you? They would make good foils for Holt! We''ll give you Jamie Cureton in return
2. The lack of other clubs beating a path to Mr Gunn''s door tells you all you need to know about his managerial ability

4. That I shouldn''t get up at 4am to listen to a match (I''m in Japan) because I probably woke all of my neighbours up when the last minute goal went in. Seriously though. It shows that there is still a fair amount of work to be done. We still lack the ability that Championship winning teams have of turning posession in to goals or to shut down a game as and when we decide.  The key thing I noticed from listening/trying to stream last nights game was our overall lack of pace. In my opinion this is what holds us back from becoming a top 2 side as opposed to a top 6 side. Leeds were able to bring on pace and it changed the game. We don''t really have that luxury. Our back four lacks speed (apart from the useless lump that is Semmy) and is always walking a tightrope against the Beckfords of this world. The same is true of our midfield and forwards. Our quality on the ball is excellent but it would be nice to have someone who can stretch a game and give defences something else to think about- for all our possession last night we didn''t actually get in behind Leeds enough to truely threaten them. I think Lambert realises this and will look to recruit pace both up front and at the back. The continued use of the limited but quick Luke Daley shows this. All in all I don''t think that last nights result (as frustrating as it was) is a bad thing. We are still right in the mix and this might just keep everyones feet on the ground.  In my opinion we are, injuries permitting, a nailed on top four side in this division. Whether we make the top two depends on a bit of luck and Lambert having the skill and funds to buy well in January. Onwards and upwards
5. Love to see us win but don''t think we will However I am fairly optimistic so 1-1. Askou will score for us. Leeds will get a penalty
6.

If I were Morrisons I would be offering the club big money to suggest their store to our potential new signings. The number of players seen shopping there is staggering. Surely Morrisons would be more convenient, especially on matchdays!
Absolutely.  I''d show the new players Colney for its world class facilities, the stadium for its world class atmosphere, and Morrisons for it''s world class steak and cheese slices.  A quick sign on the line and job done.
Carl Cort could front the campaign- "I used to be an ASDA man until I discovered........"
7. I think we can, not sure we will 1-1 would be my bet. We''ll score early on and then defend heroically only to be denied by a late (and controversial) penalty
8. Too many tempting and really obvious choices this week, but I`ll go for something a little different to give you another option Wolfsburg vs. Borussia Monchengladbach = HOME WIN Monchengladbach have yet to win away this year and Wolfsburg are the current German champions
9. If I were Morrisons I would be offering the club big money to suggest their store to our potential new signings. The number of players seen shopping there is staggering. Surely Morrisons would be more convenient, especially on matchdays!
10. Say what you like about Sky but their football coverage (Jamie Reknapp apart) runs rings around anything on offer from any other channel I presume that ITV cannot afford a decent commentator as that can be the only reason they persist with the self-satisfied, smug arse that is Clive Tyldsley or the useless band of "experts" they always parade. It says something when the best of the bunch is Andy Townsend
11.
I think it''s interesting that our new found watertightness has coincided with the absence of Otsemobor.
Totally agree. His imminent return at Elland Road concerns me far more than who will be playing at centre back
12. I''m not sure that Gunny had much of a future under McNally anyway but the 7-1 certainly helped to speed things along and provided the ammunition for the change Under Gunn this club was going nowhere fast and more worryingly was becoming more divided by the day. The best thing about this club at the moment is the fact that everyone from the chairman through to the fans seems to be pulling in the same direction. As this message board demonstrated at the time this was never going to happen with Gunn in charge. Lambert and co have given this club the fresh start it so desperately needed. Regardless of whether we get promoted this season or not I feel far more confident about the future than at any time since Worthy first took charge
13. It''s amazing what a decent, ambitious manager can achieve, isn''t it? Having said that 90% of League 1 is made up of poor to average teams that you would fully expect us to beat. The test will come against the likes of Leeds next week. Put in a good performance there and I will truely begin to believe we are going places
14. None of this international nonsense for me I''ll stick to what I think I know and say Dagenham and Redbridge v. the hapless Darlington = HOME WIN
15. No I wouldn''t swap him at the moment. His experience is crucial to this side However you could easliy run a sweepstake on the minute he will need treatment during a game as it is always guaranteed to happen at some stage
16. So far this season Holt Askou Smith Drury Hoolahan I''m also seriously impressed with Declan Rudd but he needs to be tested in some away games
17. What a riduculous post. I guarantee half the people who watch Norwich play every week could sign 12 players and at least half of them would turn out to do a decent job in this division. If you''re going to go down that road then you might as well thank Roeder for sending Spillane and Martin to Luton and knocking some sense into them. It''s managing said players that is the tricky part. A skill that proved a long way beyond a certain Mr Gunn
18. Sorry. I know I''ve missed the deadline again but its hard to keep track when you are 8 hours ahead For what its worth I was going to stick my neck out this week and say Barnet v. Grimsby = HOME WIN
19. Actually fairly confident about this game I think 2-0 City
20. Booing, cheering, clapping, jeering. It''s all part and parcel of the game. I don''t think Mr Forster will be losing too much sleep over it
21. I have nothing against the guy but the way some people on here talk you would think he is the next Lionel Messi On his day he is an excellent player BUT he does tend to drift in and out of games, he does dwell on the ball too long and he does compromise the shape and balance of the team. That said he would always be in my squad, however I''m not sure I would pick him as an automatic starter week in, week out
22. I''m amazed that I''ve actually remembered to do this in time this week I reckon Darlington v. Bournemouth is a shoe-in AWAY win
23. It always amazes me when players (especially those without wives and kids) find it so difficult to "settle" in an area. I could understand it if he moved to Turkey or somewhere far flung but Norwich isn''t that bad is it. I''m constantly moving around for my job but I still manage to settle and make new friends. To me it is just an easy excuse to give when things become a little tough at a new club
24. What do you want them to do. Roll out the red carpet and watch us play around them. Like it or not this division is filled with teams who won''t need a second invitation to kick lumps out of our players. Perhaps the ref should have clamped down on it but since when can you rely on the referee to do a decent job
