1.
I thought we were in dire need of a good omen today so before leaving for the match we had a full rendition of "The Ballad of Crossan and Bly"[8] That yellow and green army, reaching for the sky [8][8] In what will always be the year, of Crossan and Bly [8]Always guaranteed to bring a tear to Ricardo''s eye but It seemed appropriate for the fixture. Indeed, City began with plenty of verve and vigour and slashing runs down right and left almost brought an early opener. Jerome met Redmonds cross perfectly but his goal bound header was blocked by De Gea''s feet. We didn''t know it at the time but that was about it for serious first half goal mouth action.Man U eventually came forward with lots of patient possession but apart from a Rooney cut back that caused nerves to flutter there wasn''t really anything to worry John Ruddy in the City goal. The game settled down a bit after that with the odd City break promising much but delivering very little. There were a couple of might have beens when Brady and Redmond might have released the ball earlier and didn''t but in truth City never managed to get enough men forward to support the runner and consequently chances were at a premium. At the other end Mata and Rooney tried to pick a way through but never really looked like doing so, A couple of free kicks and a long range effort straight at Ruddy was about the limit of the action and a scoreless half was about right.United came out with more purpose in the second period and the City midfield was forced back to the edge of their box. Only a fine run from Olsson aleviated the pressure, unfortunately his final cross was meat and drink for De Gea. However there were still very few alarms at the City end with United unable to create a decent opening. With the City front men living off scraps it was obvious that we would see Mbokani sooner rather than later and this duly transpired just after the hour mark. Brady was sacrificed but City immediately looked better as a few crosses started to come into the United box and created momentary panic. Howson almost got an opening but the ball wouldn''t sit and he ballooned it wildly over the bar.At this stage I decided to adjourn to the rest room, an action that often brings a goal. As so often in the past it worked its magic but when the cheer went up I realised that it was at the wrong end. Oh well, sometimes magic works and sometimes it doesn''t.AN threw on Bamford and Dorrans but to very little avail. United with Rooney, Mata and Carrick retaining possession for long periods, ran the clock down professionally and proficiently as City huffed and puffed to little purpose. The writing was on the wall long before the end as long balls were pumped up front with City unable to induce a mistake from the United back line and it was a relief when the final whistle put us out of our misery. There were boo''s at the death which I didn''t feel were warranted. They gave plenty of effort but unsurprisingly came up short on quality. The table doesn''t lie, if you score fewer than a goal a game and concede almost two you cannot survive in this league. We have clutched at straws for the past few weeks but I suspect the reality of relegation has set in for most of us.
Love reading your match reports, Ricardo - it''s like actually being there [Y]
 2.
We need to win our last two games, plus hope the others both lose. If we don''t cant win for ourselves whatever either Sunderland or Newcastle do is otherwise irrelevant.
There''s no flies on you is there...
 3.
A draw would not surprise me...it''s funny what can happen when a team sees the winning (safety) line. It can change their mentality. Problem is I can''t see us getting two wins.
I can see us getting victories with completely out of the blue outstanding displays in our remaining couple of games [Y] Unfortunately, I also envisage us being relegated by goal difference [:(]It''s the Norwich way [:''(]
 4.
Would resignation be worse than death ?
Kind of YES! - he''s the only worthwhile member on the board!
 5. PLEASE SOMEBODY CONFIRM THIS IS A HACK!
 6.
Just a few reminders for the seriously deluded folk who approve of this awful acquisition:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z31jCeqQC2khttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTcJk1ND594https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVwzR9UJKN4https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5WXpJ-KtiAhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5qIgSKG_s4Unfortunately there''s plenty more... How in f*cks name is an irresponsible, spendthrift prIck like Balls going to get on with NCFC & McNally? The latter will be gone by the end of the season when we''re relegated.
That right-wing toss*r Shyster actually called it out way back then [:(]
 7. The fat lady is clearing her throat.
 8. Sunderland now leading [:(] Imperative now that Newcastle lose or draw.
 9. Both matches drawing with 20 minutes to go [Y]
 10.
Yes it is unlikely but 6 points will still give us a chance if the others lose so all is not lost.
THBDB > http://services.pinkun.com/forums/pinkun-forums/cs/forums/3371867/ShowPost.aspx
 11. Harry Kane was a bit sh*t when he played for us too [:$][:|]
 12.
Do we deserve our place in this league?Come to think of it, none of the three do......
If we finish above both Newcastle and Sunderland we will have earned and deserved a place in the Premier [Y]
 13. HT -- Villa 0-0 Newcastle ~ Sunderland 1-2 Chelsea Current positions in Table:17th Newcastle  34pts - one & a half matches left18th Sunderland 32pts - two & a half matches left19th Norwich    31pts  - two matches left We''re still in this [Y]
 14. People are forgetting - if Villa & Chelsea garner victories, or even draws, this afternoon, it also prolongs Sunderlands & Newcastles agony [Y]
 15.
If you think this scenario through....We beat Man Utd 5-0 tomorrow, but ultimately it is in vain because we still are relegated. However, based on that thrashing, the board decide Neil is the right man for next season and keep him on.In the summer, we lose Klose, Mbokani, Howson, Ruddy, Olsson, O''Neil, Redmond, Jerome and of course Naismith. We have another shambolic summer transfer window and fail to sign anybody at all.We end up getting relegated from the Championship again with Neil Adams in charge after Alex Neil is sacked in April after a 3-2 home defeat to Milton Keynes Dons.McNally gets a bonus. It could happen, and I may have forseen it.  Persuade me otherwise.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qM0tzshqCb4 [:|]
 16. In order to avoid making the same mistake with the Arsenal result, I''m predicting nothing until the line up & formation is presented.PLEASE, for the love of football play to the players strengths AN, and cease with the tinkering [:@] You''re not Ranieri [:$]
 17.
Week on week tolerance of continuous defeats is what is happening Bor. But you, and sadly many others, seem quite happy with it. In fact, you couldn''t care less how awful our recent run has been. You are actually happy with relegation. A rare thing indeed. And you constantly criticise fellow fans for showing disappointment. Its just bizarre.
You really have to look further than the end of your arm and the hand you w@nk with because you haven''t got a sexual partner if you seriously believe any City supporter is content with relegation.
 18.
Burnley on a 22 game unbeaten streak... which will probably end on the first weekend of next season
But only if they start next season against another Northern club - it''ll have conspiracy written all over it otherwise [:)][;)]
 19.
Truely Incredible. Looked at the Claudio Ranieri Wiki which says "In light of recent events, he is currently under consideration for ascension to sainthood."
I personally think Ranieri should be considered for nobel peace prize.Obama got one!
 20.
1 .....because chopping and changing the manager very rarely works.
Watford? [;)]
 21.

Clattenburg did a gem keeping that game 11 v 11. Betchya if it was us we''d be down to 9 men
Yeah, Spurs 9 bookings and them playing at Newcastle in their last game is all part of the conspiracy to see us relegated [:|]
If Burnley had drawn with or lost to QPR, we would have seen less yellow cards tonight as it would be more likely Middlesbrough would be promoted and therefore the North-East powerhouse would still have representation in the PL.  As it was, the fact Burnley won and are therefore promoted means Middlesbrough are not guaranteed of Premiership football and therefore the referee tonight decided to weaken the opposition for the other North-East team knowing their future fixtures and need for points. It is all absolutely plausible.
22. Congratulations Leicester, btw [Y] Can only be a good thing for the game [Y]Doesn''t stop me from being terribly jealous mind [:)]Yeah, the standard of refereeing right across the Premier has been pretty dire all season.
