Yep, 93% of our imported beef came from the EU, notably Ireland. Now the mick's are sh!tt!ing themselves as Australia replaces them. Another advantage is that Australian top quality organic beef raised on summer pastures operate on a different time cycle (ie. they are entering autumn as we enter spring) means that we can now access this produce tariff free and at a time when our prime beef is not yet ready. So a win-win all round except for the micks who should have left the EU when we did. They will learn eventually.

    👍

Maybe Jools can explain to us what will happen to British farmers stock if we allow lower standard meat products to get into our food chain? Will they still be allowed to export to the EU?

Why would the government allow inferior meat products into the food chain, Herminge?

Australia produces some of the highest quality beef in the world and some say it's superior to British beef --- I beg to differ 👍

The UK is growing its markets overseas, notably in Asia, Mexico and the US, and I seriously doubt EU countries will want to miss out...

Then again, that'll be up to the EU.

FFS! We're not talking about the past arrangements 50 years ago you buffoon, it's the current proposals that threaten UK farming. Keep up, it's not difficult to understand.

UK farmers won't be affected much by this free trade deal -- The hospitality sector contributes £59.3 billion in Gross Value Added to the UK economy and they will continue to buy quality British beef cuts, whilst the cheaper Australian meat will be consumed in school canteens, hospitals, fast food outlets etc..

Most of our beef currently comes from Ireland and it is Irish farmers that will be affected negatively 🇪🇺

Where overall trade is concerned, the UK will still export more to Australia than vice versa.

Sounds like a Jeremy Corbyn policy that was laughed at by the Tories to me.

"The railways need accountability, not nationalisation. So we will end the complicated franchising model and create a simpler, more effective rail system, including giving metro mayors control over services in their areas."

Watch the numbers closley for the next few days. The upticks in the outbreak areas are largely counteracted by the general downturn everywhere else. If it escapes the suppression tactics it will become quickly apparent in the numbers.

My impression is that there are sufficient numbers already vax'd in the UK to prevent any large third wave. Nationally there were 16k infections in the previous seven days. Yesterday in France alone there were 19k in one day, 12k in Germany and around 6k in Italy and Spain. They appear to be some way behind us yet are opening up to U.K travellers. If the UK is not yet safe then Europe certainly isn't, holidays in N.Norfolk or Cornwall please.

Trouble with holidaying in the UK though, Ricardo, is the EU countries are already losing billions in tourism and nigh on 17 million EU jobs are at risk if the British holiday pound holidays at home...

I'm looking forward to my West Country vacation 👍

I wonder people like Jools realise that it is his taxes these people are thieving?

Yes, I obviously realise that, Herminge, and I also realise they're all at it, Left, Centre & Right...

The point here is why is it only bad when the Centre & Right do it? Lefties get a free pass do they? 🙃

Try writing that sentence again to make it intelligible.

If you believe that sanctimonious pile of crap you demonstrate just how pathetically gullible you and the RWNJs are.

Yes, I believe Mordaunt in this instance because she's telling the truth, coco:

Penny Mordaunt’s mauling of Angela Rayner in the Commons yesterday afternoon took Westminster by storm, Rayner and Mordaunt were even trending on Twitter. Given it was so watched, Guido thought a fact check of one of Mordaunt’s main claims was in order:

“If you were to take every single MP she’s made an allegation about this afternoon, and you were to look at all the political donations they have received since the pandemic started (since January 2020), if you were to add them all up; if you were to double them – no, Mr Speaker, if you were to quadruple them – you would still just about match what the hon. Lady herself has received in the same time period.”

Referring back to Ange’s speech, she named the PM, the Home Secretary, the Health Secretary and Lord Lister, whose total declared takings since January 2020 benchmark amounted to just £4,660 for Boris and £55,586 for Hancock. Surprisingly Priti doesn’t have a single register of interest entry…

Rayner’s coffers on the other hand have been working overtime. Since January 2020 Angie has received:

    • 21 January: £50,000 from Waheed Ali
    • 22 January: £1,683.21 from GMB
    • 22 January: £47,227.58 from GMB
    • 26 January: £1,000 from Simeon Honore
    • 30 January: £25,000 from GMB
    • 31 January: £10,000 from Rajesh Agrawal
    • 4 February: £10,000 from USDAW
    • 11 February: £25,000 from CWU
    • 25 February: £2,000 from Mohammed Imran
    • 4 March: £25,000 from Trevor Chinn
    • 5 March: £10,000 from Intro Developments Ltd
    • 5 March: £25,000 from Martin Taylor
    • 12 March: £2,500 from Simeon Honore

That’s a whopping £234,410.79, and – as Penny pointed out – the same as four times the total takings of the government figures she was pointing the finger at (£240,984). Penny had Rayner bang to rights…

You are a dangerous silly man, COVID exists we have not been had, COVID creates illnesses which are what kills your body. If you did not get COVID in most instances you would not get pneumonia, blood clots, liver failure ect. The number of people dying from the flu and another cause is far higher by % yet you tell us flu exists.

Your post is very dangerous and some people who believe such rubbish in the context stated by you will be discouraged from getting vaccinated, which I assume is what Trump is trying to do in America by peddling such views.

I've never doubted Covid exists, I'm simply posting data provided over the internet that suggests cases & deaths from the virus have been greatly exaggerated...

It's food for thought and I personally believe the data.

Just a reminder that your boys lost as well.

UKIP won 4 million first preference votes and would now have 80 MPs under a fairer electoral system [:D] Ukip took plenty of votes away from Labour - this, despite the vilification they received from the media - those votes helped a majority Tory goverment  [:D]And don''t forget there''s a referendum on our membership of the EU in two years -- Never have UKIP been more relevant, ol'' bean [:D]

    Well **** me sideways, Shyster/Quentin/Jools...

Pakistani society is tribal and it hasn''t adapted well to life in Britain - the people tasked with looking after these communities, in Policing and in local government, do not understand the medieval social attitudes they''re dealing with.

The communities are dysfunctional and nobody has had the guts to spell it out - women are suppressed, cousin marriage and forced marriage is common.

We have released these Pakistani heritage men from the confines of the Jirgha system of local discipline without putting anything much in its place.

Policing it effectively demands a robustness that has been missing because it produces conflict and criticism from the liberal left, thus it''s far easier to keep ones head down and do nothing, get promotion and move on.

The law of the jungle has taken over because of lefty, political correctness and the perpetrators (Jihadists & paedophiles) will do more, because they feel no shame and know they can get away with it.

One has to visit Pakistan to fully understand the culture.

How much longer can lefties & the establishment play this sh*t down?

    Hear, hear, Shyster! 👍

    Toxic.

Do you find the Green Party and Lib-Dems toxic, Hermione?

I can tell you both parties have teamed up with the conservatives in a battle to reduce Labour and Khan's power in London City Hall.
