  1. Apart from the small matter of them trying to earn as much as possible in their short career because they are worried about their retirement, either in a few years when the legs go or next week after that bad tackle. Or maybe thinking that it could be the last chance to hit the big time and reach their full potential. So it's very unlikely that footballers are like the rest of us.
  2. Disposable paper towels are far more hygienic.
  3. My humble apologies, it's been one of those days...
  4. In the context of my comment. I've been told by many posters that our scoring problems are because midfielders are not getting ten goals per season each, and our conceding problems are because midfielders are not protecting the defence. This would make pretty much all of our midfielders unsuitable.
  5. I agree with the sentiment although others may argue about the semantics. The problem appears to be that our recruitment team have had countless attempts at buying midfielders and it's resulted in a huge collection of unsuitable midfielders, many of whom can't possibly be in the squad on any given day. This having been done at the expense of the strike force and defence which have both been lacking. I appreciate that some will say 'we need midfielders to chip in with ten goals each, or we need midfielders to protect the defence and break up attacks etc', so why have all these unsuitable midfielders been brought into the club, at some cost, over the past couple of years? Some of them are just not good enough, some have just got the wrong side of Farke. Do you actually trust the incumbents to get it right now?
  6. Ok fair enough, the point I was trying to get across was that he hasn't scored that heavily previously so we shouldn't necessarily expect that in future times. Hopefully he will, but it's not guaranteed.
  7. I agree with you, there is also the unmentioned aspect of Pukki's career to consider. Last season was a blip in his career, he was scoring goals at a level that he hasn't ever done before, the stars aligned. Hopefully he'll have a good season in the Championship but realistically he over performed last year.
  8. So nearly got the spelling right, so close yet so far. And yet car hairs raises more questions than answers
  9. Reminiscent of Farke saying about the lack of quality in some of the teams which beat us this season. Win = 3 points Draw = 1 point Losers get relegated!
  10. You expect Farke to play Vrancic? Why is he suddenly going to do that? It's not our view of the player, Farke has shown quite clearly how he views him.
  11. Thinking about fast players, you'd probably look at Vardy. No way is Farke going to start limping balls up for him to chase.
  12. Usain Bolt runs fast but when he arrives at his end mark he can just have a little giggle and a wave at the fans. His pace wasn't enough to get him a contract to play football when he tried. Let's not put to much on Płacheta until we see him actually doing something with the ball once he comes off a fast run. We have to accept that current tactics will have him sprinting to the edge of the area, cutting inside and then passing back to Rupp who will knock it back to Krul to 'reset'.
  13. I'm not saying the current rules are fit for purpose, but they are and have been the rules.
  14. It's been a rule for a good time now. Administration brings points deduction, at the end of the season it will be applied to relegate the club, alternatively if the deduction won't relegate the club, they start the following season on minus points. It's happened to other clubs previously, everyone knows the rules.
  15. Is it a police matter outside the ground rather than Fa?
  16. So don't bother coaching them to reach their potential as defenders? Or should we have just bought in suitable defenders last couple of years instead of all those midfielders?
  17. Go on then, Polish Dave 🤣 Miejmy nadzieję, że odniesie sukces.
  18. Or you can spend 250k and get a half decent coach to train our defence to handle set pieces. That could have been done last season too. That could still be done for next season.
  19. That's what Farke has said too. I refer you to the League table.
  20. The recruitment process is not one persons decision. Farke doesn't buy players Webber doesn't buy players Chief Scout doesn't buy players They are a group who discuss it together and when they've reached agreement, then they buy a player.
