Here's the thing you miss every time you quote me on Kenny.

I watch him. I've watched him. I'm at every home game and some away.

It just so happens that my opinion from watching him aligns with a long list of professional, experienced and proven managers, coaches, current players and ex players, as well as the stats you keep mentioning.

Your opinion aligns with a couple of other PinkUn posters, who twist every subject about Kenny into some ego-protecting method. So Kenny outperforms all our CBs and all the Kenny haters can say is its because he's not in midfield. It's really funny if you take a step back and read it through.

    That is the difference.

    Merry Christmas though 🙃🙃

P.S having spoken to very recent ex players in person, I can guarantee they aren't fed up of Kenny. For them he's one of the first on the teamsheet.

We can agree to disagree matey, we both want our club to be successful at the end of the day, we just have differing opinions on how to get there.

    Enjoy the hols Hoggy.

Why does every manager, every ex-player and every current player want him starting then? That's the biggest question. That some of you think you know better than Farke, Smith, Wagner, their coaching staff, Lappin, Eddie, Holt, Gibson, Gunn, Sargent, I could go on...

Are you not able to watch and form your own opinion?

When questioned about Kenny, managers have often responded by extolling his attitude or what he's like in the dressing room.

I just look at him playing and know that if I was in that team I'd be pretty fed up with his wandering round out of position, giving the ball away in dangerous areas and general mediocrity.

I don't think he, you or the managers are bad people, I just watch him playing as the years go by and form an opinion.

Please show me the suicidal passes every game. We've played around half our matches but I'll settle for just 10.

Maybe we look better defensively because Kenny is not only one of our better midfielder but turns out one of our better CBs because he has a long list of skills (that Sara drooled over in a recent interview) that are transferable into different positions.

Our midfield isn't "better because Kenny isn't there" because he often drives into midfield from CB. He's there alot. Check his heat map.

Move your eyes from the page of stats & actually watch him play.

Why do you think he's spent so much time with his hand up apologising to his teammates game after game?

That’s what I mean. Chelsea don’t particularly want to waste their time and money playing luton and their fans would rather see them play Juventus or whatever

Yeah, get that, Luton or Norwich you could say.

The driving force behind seems to me, the big European teams trying to tap into the financial success of the Premier League & get some of the ££ for themselves.

The money involved in a European superleague is as-tro-nomical. It’s a train you can’t stop. Norwich can chill though basically just let it happen. I think even if we were cut off it would be fine tbh, our income would probably decrease but it would be relative to our league opponents.

Surely the money would be greater than Premier League teams get at present,  although it would be astronomical to the teams from the other European League's.

Just a little tip on life. If you'd come back and said "Oh yeah, my mistake, I'd forgotten that Wagner did a fantastic job in keeping Huddersfield up in the Premier League in their first season" everybody would have forgotten about it and moved on.

When you're in a hole, stop digging.

Hahaha, oh yeah, my mistake, what I've seen from Wagner over the past year was clearly an optical illusion.

And Uddersfield are in the Premier League

True for Farke (so far) - not true for Wagner. He did a fantastic job in keeping Huddersfield up in the Premier League following promotion.

He was praised for his achievements in keeping Huddersfield in the Premier League at the end of the 2017–18 season, a feat regarded by bookmakers as improbable and described by The Guardian as "the Premier League's greatest survival story", with Wagner in particular noted as "a leader of rare charisma and intelligence."[25]

Are we talking about the same butcher who is running City at the moment?

Where are Huddersfield at the moment anyway?

Wagner has to go and Knapper has to act of that there is no doubt but until he has a replacement lined up the thought of either Andy Hughes or Neil Adams in temporary charge fills me with dread.

The man who brought about this situation has thankfully left the building.

It's very difficult to find any kind of mitigation in favour of Wagner.

Below average manager with below average tactics, who brings in below average players and surprisingly gets below average results.

  9. It troubles me that Farke is only referred to here as an angel of light, providing success for our football club.

Surely a balanced view would acknowledge the enormous chip on his shoulder and the ego which clouded his judgment.

The several occasions he mismanaged players to the clubs financial detriment.

    Etc.

I'm among the first to credit him for the good stuff, but please, be balanced in your posts, had Farke been willing to adapt and progress personally then we would have had an entirely different story to tell.

It's twenty years ago almost to the week of our upcoming match with the binners where Leon Mckenzie scored twice and got his own song -

It made me wonder if we'll have a new hero next week.......maybe.......

    Adam Idah oh-oh-oh-oh

    Adam Idah  oh-oh-oh-oh

He scored against the scum, he scored another one.

    etc etc....

    Wouldn't that be wonderful......

They score for fun at the moment and we're ****, what do you really think will happen?

Webber was plainly a big influence at CR and it worked well with Farke up the point at which the players we had reached their limits and Webber had that brainfart urge to sack him, but since then that influence has been appalling.

I wonder though, how much real influence did he have over 1st team affairs - and that then begs the question how much influence will Knapper have over the 1st team.  Farke, on his appointment at Leeds, insisted he wanted complete control and be manager, not head coach - and I wonder if that is a direct reaction to having been under Webber's influence at Norwich - with Webber having too much say in the first team.

So the real question then, is how much will Knapper want to have a say in the first team or how much he will just let the first team coach get on with it.  We all know Webber was a big noise, but Knapper doesn't look to be the type of ego that will want to dominate, but rather might allow people to get on with their jobs. This would be preferable - you need a strong character as a head coach - like we had with Farke, but my own thoughts there are that Farke had to do deal with too much from Webber (like the urge to go 433 at the start if the 2nd PL season, which always seemed a bit odd and may have been a Webber directive).  So a strong head coach - and let him get on with it, with the SD more of a background figure, organising everything else around to ensure good practice is followed throughout the club.

    Any thoughts on that?

You've made alot of assumptions there LDC
