  1. This Krul bashing is surely a sign that most of our scapegoats have left and as we sit top of the league there is little for people to moan about. If you look at the number of passes Krul receives and makes during a game he is bound to make the odd mistake as all keepers do nowadays as fewer and fewer look to thump it into the stands. Yes, he has made three big mistakes in the last two games but the one that cost us a goal still had lots to do to score with an excellent first touch and finish. We cannot have it all ways, we try to play out from the back at all times, when it works it results in fantastic football, when it doesn't it gives chances to the opposition, it is something we will have to live with so enjoy it.
  2. You can look at the game in many ways, for instance was it our class defending or the lack of cutting edge they had which of course could be due to our closing down? Whichever a good performance against an impressive Swansea. They were a bit like us last season, lots of ball retention without looking a massive threat up front, resorting to hopeful shots from distance mostly.
  3. A frustrating night but credit should go to Swansea, their game plan was superb and worked well on the night, they out Norwiched Norwich ! At times we were chasing shadows in the first half as they stuck to their tactic of playing out of defence. Despite the stats showing they were superior in all departments what it didn't show is that they did not create any really clear cut chances to score unlike us when Pukki shaould have hit the target and when Onel rolled it across the six yard box. Also the two experienced wingers for Swansea kept Jamal and Max honest. We changed it a bit and stepped up the intensity or did Swansea tire? Easy to see why their coach is so well rated on last nights performance, they just lacked punch up front, probably a bonus that their centre forward was ill. On the ball city!
  4. Can you catch Viking clap from toilet seats?
  5. This is standard practice in football nowadays, we do it every week, waste time, wind the opposition up when we are in front, get over it. Nobody mentions Krul's time wasting. It unfortunately is the face of modern football so please stop whinge ins like spoilt kids because we lost. On to the next game for another three points we hope.
  6. The player, club and ref should be punished, rhe player needs to be banned, the club docked at least a point as the decision changed the resu,t and the ref, lino's should be dealt with.
  7. Hard and reckless tackling is seen as the obvious/simple tactic to stop better sides from playing their style and dominating possession, Ippo were on the edge deliberately targeting our skilful players, it was no surprise that the poorer team adopted this. We also have a few lads that know how to make the most of a dodgy tackle.
  8. Yes, I think our team is practically full of them at the moment!
  9. They are professional footballers fighting for their lives in a derby, it is now becoming a regular tactic of the opposition to unsettle us by getting stuck in as they believe the best way to stop our slick pass and move style is to play on the edge. I don't believe they deliberately tried to injure us they were simply fired up as pro's believing that if they got in our faces and tackled hard they might get something out of the game. If they had stood off and admired our style they would have been severely thrashed. Got to feel for Sears, 9 months injured is not great for a footballer.
  10. Plus lots of ability, I am a massive fan, howcthe hell was he playing second tier Spanish football last year on loan?
  11. Pure quality in every aspect, the more they foul him the more he wants the ball. Always confident to try things even when in tight situations in his own penalty area which won't always come off. Must be in line for a call up to the national team.
  12. If you take a totally neutral view I think our continental players certainly make the most of every tackle they receive, as it is on the team I love then happy days but opposition teams and fans do not appreciate it. Stiep's reaction was over the top but I do think there was contact but not enough for him to fall over and roll about as though he had been shot but that is modern football sadly. Still a great three points against the binners
  13. Fair play to Ip****e, they gave us a games but seriously lacked quality in the vital areas, the attacking third and the defensive third. We won in a canter.
  14. Why would we, the way this team is performing only one way to look and that is forward. I am wondering if Buendia is on the radar of the Argentine national squad?
  15. My reply was tongue in cheek, I agree with your comments
  16. Obviously you must have missed Alan Black and Clive Payne,
  17. With our possession based game, coupled with receiving the ball in tight situations and the likes of Buendia, Hernandez and Steiperman running at players Ipswich, like most teams will resort to fouling us at every opportunity. Wouldn't you instruct your team to try and break up our flow? We will rise above it with or without the help of the referee, probably without knowing the standards in the championship.
