1. Any ref who is ''famous'' is normally a crap ref.  By default, the reason they are famous is coz they''ve made a lot of bad decisions that have put them in the spotlight.  Same with Michael Oliver.   Clattenburg fits into the Hollywood ref mould 100%.

No change in the defence after two of the worst performances I''ve ever seen from Martin and Whittaker, except dropping the bloke who directly created both our goals. Bringing in a centre midfielder who has made no impact in over a year to play left wing, and dropping the forward who has scored in his last two appearances (three including country). I really do wonder what some people are watching! .................................................................................................................... We haven''t got better defenders at the club. Not anyone that is registered to the play anyway - so it has to be Martin & Whittaker. I did say VOO on the right so Redmond to switch to the left. If we have a problem at central midfield - it''s not Howson. You have a point with Olson - I haven''t a problem with him at left back.
Ryan Bennett is a better centre half than Russell Martin.  VOO is not a right or left winger.  Redmond is not a left winger.  I rate Howson to be fair, but his form is poor and nobody should be guaranteed a starting spot.  I wouldn''t definitely drop Whittaker as I''m not at all convinced by Norman Wisdom - but Martin should definitely find himself on the bench on Saturday. I''d also be tempted to drop Ruddy. My team: Rudd Whitts Bennett Bass Olsson Tettey Dorrans Redderz Hoolahan Brady Dave
 3.
Ruddy Whittaker Martin Bassong Brady Tettey Howson Redmond Hoolahan VOO Jerome People are giving Howson a lot of flak for his last 2 performances. He made a couple of errors against Leicester but did that trying to attack and make things happen. He''s not Hoolahan but I thought he did ok in the forward role against Newcastle as well. So wouldn''t leave him out. At the start of the game (Newcastle) we had trouble holding onto the ball Tettey did win it but we couldn''t hold on to it, - we missed Jerome & Hoolahan controlling the ball up the pitch. Mbokani has a lot of ability though. Also would give VOO a chance on the right. He''s pretty solid and can support Whittaker. Martin & Bassong are ball playing centre backs so can play out from the back - no need to waste that extra player (Dorrans) doing that job.
What a weird team.  No change in the defence after two of the worst performances I''ve ever seen from Martin and Whittaker, except dropping the bloke who directly created both our goals.  Keeping Howson despite him being completely anonymous all game.  Bringing in a centre midfielder who has made no impact in over a year to play left wing, and dropping the forward who has scored in his last two appearances (three including country). 4. Not the keeper he was.  His personal problems at home have clearly affected his form and he needs to be dropped. Rudd doesn''t deserve to wait around whilst the guy in front of him is consistently not performing.
 5. I think Jerome would have a better scoring record than Mbokani has if he''d have played his entire career in the same leagues.
