  1. Farke told us that Todd is not in the squad because of fitness/injury - he played the full 90 minutes last night and there seemed no problem. Surely he was fit enough for a place on the bench. His emphasis on fitness is let down by the fact that he kept Hanley on with a groin injury on Sunday which might have cost us the game. He does not usually put players coming back from injury in the U23's. He has said that he doesn't want to hinder the progress of the young stars. Placheta was out for a long time and got straight back in the first team squad. Cantwell's demotion to the youngsters appears to me to be some form of punishment. Previously the reason for Todd being omitted from the substitutes was that Farke wouldn't select 2 similar players. Dowell was on the bench although the 2 had played many times together. On Sunday Farke picked Dimi and Williams on the bench, also Placheta who has played left wing back. Farke has not been telling the truth, he might have a good reason for it. People connected to the club are saying its a rift. For the sake of the club they have to sort this out, the players are the ones that can get us out of this nightmare.
  2. Wasn't Ron Ashman manager at the time? I remember they used to take a few of our reserves who couldn't get in the first team. Can you remember what season Eamon Dunphy called us "animals"? I think it was the Saunders era.
  3. You're talking about the first 3 games when he made more tackles than anyone in the Prem.
  4. First goal was 22 seconds before they'd touched the ball. Rowe should be a topic for the first team. Scored 2 and made the other.
  5. Let's hope so, if not we need to know the truth. What I mean is that by turning up for the U23s his attitude can't be that bad. I don't remember any problem with Leitner, I know Oliveira didn’t turn up for training because of the snow but all the Germans were there on time. I do remember Leitner coming on for the second half against Liverpool and completely changing things. Sad to think that was one of his last games and his exclusion coincided with the start of the decline that season. Farke gave the reason as not showing enough in training. It is the manager's job to get the best out of the players he has available.
  6. Too many have been in this situation and the club suffers. Bad behaviour and attitude is implied but we should be able to get around it. At worst his attitude is as bad as Buendia's but I don't think Emi would have taken kindly to turning up for the U23s Putting a £40M price tag on him-more than Buendia - wasn't fair. Webber said it was because he was such an important player for us. I can understand Todd being frustrated He's a popular member of the squad so it could be having an effect on the likes of Teemu and Max.
  7. It wouldn't look good to get rid of a club legend like Holt for telling the truth, whilst keeping Farke who is continually lying to us. They did get rid of Huckerby and kept the bloke who joined Ipswich. Farke should put the best interests of the club before his personal feuds.
  8. Was it Farke's fault for playing a defender that wasn't fit for half the game and not having a centre half on the bench? Yes, the manager must take responsibility for the team he picks. Blaming individual players is doing us no good at all. By keeping Hanley on, Farke badly let down the fans. It seems that he has his favourites and is quite stubborn.
  9. Nobody wanted to pay the unreasonable price we put on him. It says a lot about you that you find some kinds of abuse acceptable and it varies with your salaries. You seem to like dishing it out on presumptions.
  10. If your theory is true, why did they not get rid of him as quickly as they got rid of Buendia? And used the money to buy a decent player. Another rumour is that he wants to leave because of the abuse he gets from his own team's fans. As above.
  11. Fine him, ban him, sell him or play him but stop giving us these ridiculous excuses about fitness when you play someone for 45 minutes who's injured and can't kick properly.
  12. Unfair to Boyer, better than 1 goal every 3 games. Scored a great goal last night week for Southampton on Big Match Revisited. I'm amazed how patient some people have been with Sargent. 2 goals against Bournemouth but, putting that in perspective, Rupp scored that game and recently Gassan Ahadme scored 2 against them.
  13. When we conceded both goals. So much for players being 100% fit for important games. But we had no centre back cover - Sorensen would have been the obvious choice. We had two left backs as subs when Farke said he won't pick similar players on the bench. He's not doing himself any favours.
  14. Three similar players on the bench Williams, Dimi and Placheta - when Farke wouldn't put Cantwell and Dowell both on the bench. We are playing 3 centre backs but nobody to cover that position, Sorensen would have been obvious choice. Webber is asking for our support, why can't they be truthful with us?
  15. But they didn't tell Buendia to "get over it" Cantwell has been here longer than Buendia, Farke and Webber, he turned down big moves as a youngster. He has helped us to 2 championships and some famous victories in the Prem. In return they give him an inflated transfer fee to stop him moving and hinder his career. He deserves better. All these "awkward" labels are implied as with Leitner and Trybull which have been damaging to their careers. The threat of such treatment is hanging over every player in the team and can't help performances. If we had let Todd go for a reasonable sum we could have bought in Ajer or Normann permanently. We could have had a better start, as it is we will probably end up with nothing from his sale.
  16. That's him, his daughter Julie scored 116 in 121 appearances for Scotland
  17. Some of those weren't at Bournemouth with Bond. Grapes and Steele were loaned from Norwich to Bournemouth for a while. Mark Nightingale is another who played for both. Who is the Norwich player of the 70s who is the father of someone who has scored over 100 goals for their country?
  18. Todd was the designated taker when Pukki wasn't playing but let Idah take it so he could get his hat-trick against Preston. I don't remember any complaints afterwards.
  19. I haven't made any statements and I have no problem with homosexuality. I wondered why you called him a princess. It's because you think he's effeminate-you haven't said why but you think it's OK to say that. That answers my question.
