  1. For a start I wouldn't judge a player on their social media or how mature I think they are. Farke should have been able to deal with this as a professional manager. Other players have been ignored this season Tzolis and Gilmour so that's 3 of our best creative players, I can't think of a good reason. Perhaps they're not mature enough either, creative but not mature. Whenever I've seen Cantwell interviewed he seems quite intelligent and well adjusted. If Farke doesn't accept less than 100% what happened with the Chelsea game? The creative players were still ignored. Much of what he says is spin. If Webber thought Cantwell deserved his punishment he would not have let him back in, he has always said that he only wants players who want to be here. It could have been a difference of opinion as was the case with Leitner, for which the club suffered. Senior players were consulted before the sacking decision was made, they know what happened more than us.
  2. I've seen no evidence for his lack of professionalism, attitude problems or lack of focus - other than what Farke has inferred. Webber doesn't think so or he wouldn't be back training with the fist team. His team mates seem to be behind him and there are other players who have been frozen out. Some players have been sent out on loan as soon as they arrive. I wonder why Emi was so determined to leave, but by saying that he wouldn't play again he got exactly what he wanted. We all want Todd and Gilmour back in top form but the damage might already be done.
  3. Not famous but Spam Mail Me. He's always winning competitions that he didn't enter and receiving offers from women all over the world that he's never met. What a bloke!
  4. Something has gone on but it doesn't mean that it's a tantrum. Todd has never walked out or refused to play. Perhaps Farke had the tantrum, he's fallen out quite a few players. I've never seen any evidence that Leitner was a trouble maker but I've seen that he was a quality player who could have made a difference when we were struggling. What have Gilmour, Tzolis and Sorensen done? If they had made any comments they would probably have been banished and made an example of, like Cantwell. If this incident has influenced the sacking of Farke, it could be a major contribution in a change of fortune which the club desperately needs to progress.
  5. He is someone who has supported the team and been here longer than anyone else, he is desperate to play for his home team in the top division. Is he going to be so difficult for a manager to motivate? Top players need to be self confident and sometimes arrogant, it has an effect on the opposition Farke can't deal with strong personalities, his answer is to keep them at a distance that is why I can't see him getting a job with a top club and the reason we are where we are in the league table.
  6. Do you think he should not be able to post on his days off or when he's injured? Perhaps he should not be watching the TV? Cantwell has fans outside the club, Farke's comments about personal issues caused a lot of concern about his mental health. By posting on Instagram he is showing people that he's OK. When we got promoted he was the first to want to share with the fans. He can do what he wants in his own time. We don't own him, we don't know how much he is training or what his attitude is. He's played 2 full games for the U23s and was constantly supporting and encouraging the young players. Remember what Wes said about the club when he was desperate to leave. Emi said he would never play for us again. People are upset about a 2 week old post about his dog, don't look at social media if you don't like it.
  7. Turns everything into a drama. "Twas a tragedy we lost, defending was comical" Keeps putting the ball into play. Good at organising set plays.
  8. So the answer is to play neither the same as Farke did? It seems that you are blaming these two for the sacking. The only people who know what happened are within the club and made the decision. Farke messed up. Cantwell is more attached to the club and has been here longer than anyone. Gilmour joined because he thought he would get more minutes than at Chelsea, probably he's had less. It might be too late for us to make use of two of our most skilful players and that's down to our former manager.
  9. Rubbish. We know that Farke's chosen confectionery is Topic. There has been no Topic for Todd for many weeks. When Skipp left he took all the chocs and we had no CDMs
  10. It's a complete change of direction from Webber after having so much success from German coaches and coaching. I can't really think of a decent English coach. Webber has always said that he wants people here who have a love for the club-yellow blood like Farke. A week ago Smith wanted to be at Aston Villa, his only reason to apply was because he didn't have a job, he was so enthusiastic about the immediate vacancy that he went over to America. Now he's thinking things over-is this the reaction of someone with yellow blood? Not even orange. Another potential expensive pay off. All the club's hard work and future planning could be ruined by bad decisions.
  11. Its Frank Lampard Jnr , I thought we were getting the original.
  12. There is no evidence of any players causing ruptions, Farke's job was to sort those problems out, which he wasn't doing. The danger is that winning against Brentford would justify Farke's tactics in his own mind but we only just held on. Telling Farke before the game might have had an impact on the preparations so telling him after the game was the earliest time. It looks bad but you don't expect them to change their minds because we won. The treatment of some of our players,(Trybull etc) has been diabolical, it seems that Farke couldn't deal with some strong personalities and his answer was to banish them, he can't really complain about his treatment.
  13. Last time we thought we were getting Uve Rosler so this time it could all be a smokescreen. Webber likes foreign coaches, he didn't let us down last time so let's wait and see.
  14. If he's 50% right it could be Kjetill Flatnose from Vikings, he won't stand any messing.
  15. Farke was a great manager for us, there is no doubt. Recently he had been talking about how we wanted to build a statue of him and how he has given us our best 2 seasons ever(not true) At the start of this season he said that he wouldn't take 17th place if it was offered. On Saturday he said he couldn't guarantee that we would stay up. He told us that we would have a bumpy start and that some games we have no chance to get anything from. This season he changes the system every game, he persist with strikers who don't know or forgotten how to score. He has been too harsh on players, he implies they are not trying but we see no evidence. Then he does not tell the truth for their omissions. But he will play his favourite players if they are unfit or injured. His style of management does not work at this level, we had become a laughing stock We need extra motivation and ideas if we are to progress as a club. Sad but players have been banished for not being good enough in the Prem, the manager has had the same treatment.
  16. Stringer resigned because he said that he was "past his sell by date" and no longer able to fully motivate the players. I remember it well because I was so impressed with his reasons. It is relevant to what happened yesterday. Mike Walker took over, built on what Stringer had built and the rest is history. Good reason for us to be optimistic about what could happen next.
  17. Player power is real. As much as I love Farke he was never going to run on the pitch and score the winning goal. He never took responsibility when things went wrong. Players took the blame and the penalties were harsh. We were never given explanations, Gilmour was a token selection on the bench, why couldn't he play for us like he played for Scotland.?When a manager loses his ability to motivate he becomes useless. Farke's level is top of the Championship, if we want to go higher we have to change things by building on what he had already achieved.
  18. A team that play in yellow, so that he doesn't need a blood transfusion.
  19. If senior players thought he should leave, there must have been something seriously wrong.
  20. Culverhouse would be good as an assistant, he's had 2 successive promotions with Kings Lynn after joining them when they were in the bottom half of the Southern League Central Premier. Lambert was useless without him. Warnock has a terrible record in the Prem and Bruce isn't much better. I hope we appoint another foreign manager similar to Farke.
  21. He is up there with the best managers in our history. Most of the others continued the work of their predecessors but Farke completely transformed the fortunes of the club. He deserves to find a top job and I hope our club can find someone to carry on his fantastic work. It is so sad what has happened this season but a change can add to what has already been put in place. Dave Stringer resigned because his power to motivate had decreased, this is a problem for the best of managers. He might need a transfusion for his yellow blood but I hope he always has a place in his heart for our club, as we will for him.
