Not investing in a defender really is starting to show now. A hide eff up.
Agree, Whittaker switches off and doesn''t actually go with the runner. That third goal was abysmal defending.

Ofoe and Andreu going

Wow...Just wow. Let''s hope we just haven''t got around to announcing something or waiting on confirmation all paper work was received in time or January might be a long time coming. -
Albeit clubs in Europe can''t buy a replacement....so the valuation may well go up a notch.
It feels like. Which is you admitting that you don''t really know. There is still 24 hoursb to go so maybe you should save your criticism until you at least know what players have come and gone. Or would that be asking for a bit too much accuracy.
Is this aimed at me? If so, then everyone''s comment is ''opinion'' -that''s the point. Equally, I''m not criticising I am merely pointing out the money being spent this season. Even heard Sheffield Wednesday are offering 10 mil for a player now.... There''s been some crazy, crazy fees paid for players in this window but we would appear to be operating on a different level. However, as Mourinho has spoken about there are players joining the lesser teams now who could arguably be pushing for a place in his team escpecially with their opening form). -

This may well have been the preferred striking option all window but probably the preferred option with the money AN has been given, and it feels as though the funds may have been limited. We are not competing financially with the others in this league, nor many in the championship. Would love to know why; lack of groundwork in scouting market, looking for a buyer, players with quality +right attitude not wanting to come to Norwich etc.? I have no particular opinion, just interested in others thoughts. -
Charlie Austin, next day or two.
Another potential Dean Ashton situation apart from the fact it''s nothing like the Dean Ashton situation.
Isn''t it...? We were unwilling to pay the money for Ashton until after it was too late. We should have bought Ashton earlier. We could potentially find ourselves looking for someone in the next window when AN clearly thinks we need to strengthen now. Personally, I am not too fussed as long as Jerome stays fit but don''t really rate our other options much. -
Lewis Grabban

Miles better yes, I just meant there''s a slightly awkward style to his finishing like SJ had. Just can''t see him getting more than 5 goals in PL. -
Aviva to end main sponsorship deal
norwichfanDan replied to NCFC198's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Not too surprised by this personally, the man responsible in the main part for the deal left shortly after the last extension....and I suppose everyone is now familiar with the rebrand from Norwich Union to AVIVA so the outlay is quite substantial given the Rugby, Athletics, Sailing etc. Sponsorship they also do. Remain a key partner and I am sure the club can get more money with a new sponsor. I personally have no care for who it is, as long as they are a moral company and give us a lot of money :) -

I am with majority, i think. LG reminds me of Simeon Jackson, has all the determination but just lacks real quality. Natural finishing is not his strong point, scored a lot of goals but many of them were in the SJ mould; off the shins, a hint of food fortune or a deflection. I draw distinct comparisons between the SJ lob and that of Grabban (can''t remember which games..?). I like him but not as good as Jerome. Hooper is better finisher but as mentioned, lacks mobility.
