  1. It''s interesting reading how much people were ''wanting'' for Jacob Murphy last summer? It''s surprising that he wasn''t our Player of the Season considering most fans now value how at at least 10 times what they did last season??!!!
  2. ''The Germans'' are probably easier to understand then the Scots. Most German''s speak better and clearer English then the English!
  3. Bradley Johnson was an average centre midfielder at best. He only gained his iconic status when played in an attacking left midfield position! Take your canaries tinted specs off people! Most posters on here would have taken him as a managerial candidate - so emotionally attached to ex-players!
  4. He looks like a centre back I wouldn''t want to mess with - that will do for me! Is there a fee involved or is a freebie?
  5. No way a £20 million player. A loan to a League One Team and a season at a mid-table Championship club doesn''t make you a £20 million pound player. There is potential and yes he''s developing - but £20 million is laughable! 4 and a half year contract??!!! YES BECAUSE EVERY CONTRACT TIES THE PLAYER TO THE CLUB FOR THE EXACT TIME AND THEY CAN''T LEAVE UNTIL THE CONTRACT IS UP? Jeez! Narrow minded much?
  6. Jacob Murphy is in the England U21 Squad, He''s playing well, He''s scoring ridiculous goals in training that are being ''shared'' around the world by the likes of Rio Ferdinand. He had a decent full season with Norwich - and was one of the stand out players. My question is... Could he be one of the players on the way out this Summer? If Pickford is joining Everton for £30 million. Lookman also cost Everton £10-12 million.... If Norwich got a bid of £10 million would they turn it down? If he has a blinder of a tournament could he fetch as much as £15 million? I just wonder if he is going to play himself in a PL move at this tournament. He''s come along way since Reading had a £500k bid for him turned down last Summer. If I were an Everton or a Southampton - I''d be looking at players like Murphy. I can see him at Spurs too.
  7. In short - I agree. The Premier League for a club like Norwich is a good target, but rarely any fun when actually there.
  8. That''s ball hooks. If a terrorist attack happened in Norwich it would get the same coverage as London or the larger cities. Mass killings are mass killings, they wouldn''t get swept under the carpet if it''s in a Norwich, Ipswich or even a Southend... Terrorism can hit anywhere - it''ll be big news where ever it hits. Dunblane was hardly a major city and we still remember that to this day.
  9. I think Rudd will be sold and Matthews will be loaned out to a League One / Lower Championship level team. Jones is a decent option at third choice. He is a capable deputy and apparently happy to be a third choice.
  10. I think he has a point. Take security at home games for example... The security guys are there to ''check'' bags as people enter the stadium. I don''t know about the rest of the stadium but in the River End we get the base of our bags patted lightly. What the hell do they expect patting a bag to do? It''s not checking - I COULD HAVE ANYTHING IN THERE! and then you think of bombers are there vests, and yet again this is something that is not checked upon entry to Carrow Road. Piers Morgan has insinuated that security in Norwich is poor and half-hearted and based upon my match day experience I completely agree. Stadiums are prime targets for these evil people and our little club aren''t visible doing enough to counter any threat. I have tried to contact the club twice since the Manchester horror, and have had no response what so ever. You would think that when someone questions ''security'' related matter that it would be classed as urgent.
  11. Have Norwich City triggered Declan Rudd''s contract extension so that they can sell him and get some money rather then just allowing him to leave free? The temporary acquisition of Gunn in my opinion is a decent move for City and the lad himself - but it also rubber stamps Rudd''s transfer out of the club. Don''t get me wrong, i''d rather it be McGovern out the door. I think Rudd has something to offer, but at 26 he should have shown more in a city shirt then he has by now.
  12. Awful for Milan. You may as well put Holt in charge. Note > Just because someone says they want a job, and won some trophies as a player it doesn''t make them a candidate.
  13. Thanks for repeating everything that we''ve read on the actual pink''un. Weird post. May as well have copy and pasted.
  14. Where Norwich City finish in the league means a different amount of money hence why they are not just going to put a youth team out... It''s not as cut and dry as promoted, relegated or staying the league - there is £££''s to think about. Re: Maddison. I like the sound of this kid. I like his confidence and ballsy approach - he sounds like a handful and a talent - but is he developed enough for the Championship... I have seen him in recent weeks/months in the pre-match warm-ups and he looks quite small or under-developed - he obviously did well up north at Aberdeen but I fear the championship might be a bit more physical. I think AN loaned him out so that he can grow and build as a man and a player. All that said, I would cheer if he was given a go!
  15. Obviously this is hyperthetical, but... If you were a quality player, whether from abroad, the prem or lower leagues, would you want to sign for Norwich? Based on the past two seasons I personally wouldn''t. Negative football, negative tactics, negative ambition... negative entertainment (from a fans point of view). Obviously a new set-up, new bosses and new challenge might be appealing but for me to join I would need assurances of positive change.
  16. Half price and I still feel ripped off! This club has been terribly run this year!
  17. Based on experience and cost of players but definitely not actual ability. Not many would get in to Newcastle/Brightons starting 11.
  18. I was talking to a colleague at work earlier. We were discussing a head coach suggestion that I had made. He response was to flag up a game from earlier this month that his current team didn''t win - which got me thinking... do Norwich fans expectation need re-structuring like the rest of the club? His comment insinuating that we should only look at a head coach that only ''wins'' really baffled me... even Sir Alex''s managerial win rate wouldn''t be enough for some Norwich fans... Are NCFC fans patient enough to give this new structured club a go, or are the majority going to expect an instant rise up the league/divisions... Talking to some canaries they talk about Norwich like a Chelsea or Manchester-sized club, where did they get this expectations from.... Norwich have under performed for years, yet people still talk like they expect them to win... Do we as fans need re-programming? We clearly demand a lot of our club with "manager out" and booing when we''re unhappy, but maybe we''re just too expectant?
  19. Is this the same bookies that was certain of Pardew? with better odds than 3/1
  20. All three kits are not made from the same material The home kit, as has been the case for the past few season is awful quality. So easily plucked. It has been a good few years since I haven''t taken a kit back to a canary store to swap for another one.
  21. Have I missed some sarcasm here? Redmond didn''t do anything ''amazing'' when he came on... Nor was England''s attacking style worth copying. England''s back 3/5 would make Alex Neil proud with all that sideways passing.
  22. I think Wes deserves more credit for covering for him.
  23. Rowett has Derby connection too I believe. I''m intrigued what our structure announcement is...
