1.
Firstly Broadstairs it''s less about the ''English'' game and more about the British game/game in general. Of our ''home grown'' quota Lewis plays for Northern Ireland, Hanley for Scotland and Rhodes for Scotland (and Krul has played for Holland). Secondly it''s kind of ironic that we look as though we''re going to have problems with this rule on Saturday and yet we have done more than most teams this season to promote the development pathway for young players by giving regular League starts to Lewis, Aarons and Cantwell.
Rhodes is English, he qualified to play for Scotland because he was educated there.
2. The BBC have got that wrong Keelansgrandad-Rhodes has scored this season. He’s English, he just chose to play for Scotland.
3. Is this the Beta version? Didn’t think the full version was released until November?
4.
The speakers are a cabale of socialists or socialist sympathisers. Socialists are the enemies of the poor. Their policies make the poor a lot poorer. The biggest deceit is that socialist leaders sip champagne whilst asking the electorate to vote to be poorer.
Ok, and the record increase in the number of people needing handouts from foodbanks is because of the socialists is it? And there''s me thinking that it is the tories that are in charge of the country.
5. I’ve never been a big album buyer, I preferred to buy singles-Fiery Jack, How I Wrote Elastic Man, Totally Wired and Lie Dream of a Casino Soul are possibly the best sequence of singles from any band in the 80s. I thought they went downhill very quickly after that though. I’ve got a copy of Marquis Cha-Cha too-they were going for £100+ just after Mark E Smith died but I think I’ve missed the boat now ☹️
6. Bethnal called this on an earlier thread-an add-on for an international cap is a deal sweetener, not a deal clincher.
7.

So Stoke must also be toothless given they had less shots on goal, lets shots overall and the winning goal was not scored by them......
I suppose it looks worse when you have so much possession in the attacking third, but don’t create much from it. Stoke rarely had any sustained pressure in our half. Had they done, I suspect Afobe might have made them look a bit more clinical. Stoke played for a draw, whilst looking to exploit any counter attacks or set pieces presented. We had a lot of games like that last season.
Afobe had failed to score in Stoke''s 4 previous games-in which they created 59 chances (source, BBC) and in which he played around 330 minutes so I would guess that quite a lot of these fell to him. This, and the chance he missed towards the end of the match, suggest that he wouldn''t have made them look more clinical.
8.
Farke is a long long way from being compared even in the same profession as the Messiah To compare to the Messiah he would need to win promotion to the premier league and then comfortably establish us as a force in the top tier
Lambert only had 1 season in the Premiership-hardly established us as a force in the top tier. But then you know that-Top Trolling Waveney😳
9. No extra time to worry about and a chance to collect another Premiership scalp against a team in trouble-plus who wouldn''t want us to knock out the smuggest man in football? No brainer for me, go for the win, putting out our strongest team we can under the circumstances.
10. Rhodes and Pukki to play together up front, 3-1 to NCFC.
11. I found the players’ names-and even the numbers-very hard to read on Tuesday-and I was in Row A so I was closer than most. Anyone else have this problem or do I need a new prescription? 🤓🤓🤓
12. I was worried that Wycombe would equalise and she would have to wait while until the penalty shoot out finished. Mind you, she was more worried than me as she thought we would play extra time.
13. It was a bit quiet when it got to 3-4, I was worried every time the ball went down the other end as my missus was waiting outside in the car park.
14. Of course you’re entitled to your opinion Branston, but when that opinion consists of deciding that Wycombe’s style of play was determined by one player that they had on the bench, it’s an opinion that would have been better left unaired.
15. Whatever team we put out, I hope they’re good at taking penalties.
16.
err, it was a thread about why QPR fans might not like usand if 7 years seem a little distant then why not whine about the 42 years in another comment ?ps don''t leave it so long to appear as this log in next time - and well done for remembering this particular one
I haven’t logged out since my last post-which was on Thursday. Don’t worry, you may eventually outsmart somebody, someday. Keep trying 🤓🤓🤓
17. Yeah, it’s almost as if I save myself for when someone does something incredibly cringey, like gloating over something from 7 years ago that QPR fans have probably forgotten about. BTW, banter is a 2 way thing-you seem good at giving it but not at taking it. Enjoy your day 😝😝😝
18. Oh yeah, I bet they were gutted that they had to wait a whole 5 days after that to secure the title. Snigger indeed.
