Is Hugill any better than Morris?
CanaryChris replied to TeemuVanBasten's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
What poppycock. Of course he is. -
"Other issues" says it all really. The owners presumably did not want to spend their transfer money on five 6 foot 6 defenders to complement their back line

QPR now takes on different dimension

I don't get the above philosophy. If we lost to every team that was struggling we would be in Derby's position not ours. -
I make it 66 goals MP.

God bless (not so tiny) Tim. -
Through hermans post I got it. I won't post the answer, but it was a game full of goals. I think most now know who the big losers were.

Line up lads. If your under six foot and cannot defend, see me for your release papers. -
I think this was covered in another thread a while back. Farke is unlikely to make the jump from us to Dortmund. If any German speaking manager based in England is going surely Hasenhuttl would be prime candidate.

"Inside Left" and "Inside Right"

It didn't help having tetts and Amadou operating as cbs either... -
Thought this was a thread about how great the crowd was. Tremendous atmosphere seemed to be around the ground, at least through my telly. So rather than grumble about social distancing, I'd like to thank that crowd for bringing that wonderful atmos back to CR

Cantwell (played really well)

In a word: terrific -
Thanks six. I alluded to it in my post but fair that not all would be aware. Congrats to Mr and Mrs Pukki on the birth of their daughter. What a beautiful early Christmas present for them both.

The Binners have caught covid! 😷

Finally. Something positive about sh itfc -
Brum and Derby were far more anti football imho. These guys have a taller more physical team than us, just the sort that used to bully us, hence the hoofball to play to their strengths. They gave it a go and were not out of it until Todd scored though that was largely down to us not converting the many good chances we had. Also was good to see us support Pukki who had a bit of a mare I think by his standards. Understable though he had far more important things on his mind.

Bournemouth fans love us 😉
CanaryChris replied to Alex Moss's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
That club that sold us grabban for 4 million and a after we got the best out if him to be promoted to the pram bought the stroppy little **** back from us for 8 million. Really can't hate Bournemouth. Its like hating the intellectually disabled. -
We are top, in pretty much every way possible
CanaryChris replied to hogesar's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Also need to consider the difficulty of our games. Now I know that this may end up being a huge advantage when crowds eventually return but...Norwich have played 9 of 10 away games against teams currently in the top 14. I checked our top 6 competitors and: Bournemouth-5 away to top 14 teams Watford -3 Swansea-4 Reading-4 Brentford-5 And we have the best away record in the league. Truly leading the way every which way you look at it! **** to that supposed false league position due to a low gd. No team is anywhere near our record when considering opposition faced on home turf. -

Is that our game or the Kenilworth Road floodlights? I suppose it's not that different. -

Really don't think McGovern is the biggest pressing concern. -

This really is a crunch match for Hugill. It is just the sort of game he is supposed to offer the "battering ram" style we have been missing. -

We're not his gig though right? I did wonder why we bought a bully when we don't play agricultural football. I know he is supposed to be a plan b but none of our midfielders really provide the service he needs and asking a guy who has made a living out of being an awkward lump to suddenly change his game is unfair on the lad. I cannot see him getting too many this season. Though he does take a good pen. That is useful -

Reminded me of the Derby game this one (sans pen miss and sucker punch goal, but the latter was close!). Think like when derby got humped their game before us, Millwalls thrashing against Huddersfield worked against us as the then worked hard defensively after a shambles the game before, making it harder for us to break them down. Hopefully Swansea will be a more open team looking to attack us and leaving us gaps to exploit at the back. Obviously we will need to be more switched on defensively as they will offer a much greater threat going forward, but I think there will be goals to be had for both teams and we should end up on top. -
Ok first up good result given the circumstances, slightly jaded by Idah's late red. Hope we can improve from here... But my god that was some grade A horse sh!t for the first hour or so. We should not be relying on super Mario's wonderboot in injury time to see off Wycombe ffs! Hopefully a much improved performance next game. But results are king. OTBC

As poor a league match as I have seen us play in a long while given the limited opposition we face.
