  1. I think you need a proper defender at left back.  Good though Lappin was on Sunday attacking he worried me defensively (though no change throughout season).  I''d go for Murray left back or one of the youngsters and Lappin on the left wing to put those excellent crosses in.
  2. I agree. Its boring too.  I want to read message boards about football and the club, not about a bunch of sad fans whove lost the plot.
  3. I cant remember such a good performance and a great match to watch in a long time, but it is disheartening that despite this there is still so much negativity on this message board, albeit from the same individuals.  Noone has given the board credit, whilst acknowledging its past (perhaps many) failures, of appointing a management team now that seems (at least on the first match - and it is only that) to be able to get the players playing to give us a chance of staying up, or better. I dont think the board can now sack Roeder and Co if things dont turn around this year anyway - that would be madness - so perhaps everyone should forget about the shortcoming of the board now until the end of the season and get behind the whole club.  If we are relegated we''ve had it and so has the board anyway - so this underlying negativity just can''t be good for the club and us supporters as a whole!
  4. No 7 Did he shout ''Hot drinks, cold drinks, SWEETS''?
  5. Media friendly in the sense that not that he gets on with the press, but that he/Norwich will get a mention in the press.  Getting recognition is one of little norwich''s problems.
  6. Common sense says we don''t have much chances given the big spenders in the Championship this year, but one of the play off teams is always unexpected.  We might just have the formula required - a blend of experience (Dublin, Drury, Huckerby), youth (Martin, Renton, Spillane), new media friendly manager who seems to know what he wants, very experienced head coach in Duffy, good buys to boost the team (Cureton, Big Dave, Brellier, Ostemoboor).  Oops just got a bit optimistic.
  7. Unfortunately I am only old enough to remember the 1988-89 semi final. It was a long way back, particularly because of the Hillsborough tragedy in the other semi.
  8.   Generally I think Peter Grant has done a good job in signings and made the squad stronger Marshall (Stronger) Gilks (Stronger) Otsemoboor - Louis Jean (Stronger) Brown - Thorne (Stronger) (since Brown will be a ''new'' player next season) Cureton/Stravikha - Earnshaw (Stronger) Brellier - McVeigh (Stronger) Smith - Henderson (Stronger) If we could get another quality midfielder in for season to replace Etuhu then I think the squad is stronger overall - a move in the right direction?
  9. How come Dean Ashton didn''t have a ridiculously low release clause. Doncaster better have built in a sell on fee for Etuhu in case he ever did consistency fulfil his potential.
  10. Apparently Norwich City were going to get about 5-6 new seats in for the new season, but now only about 2-3 are needed.
