The rumour has resurfaced and now, according to reports, he is waiting out a move to us over Bristol. I understand what people are saying, but he was never really given a chance at Palace and over his 2 season, has a goal every 164 minutes. Less than 1 in 2. The problem arises when none of the players linked, no matter how brief, fit the bill perfectly. Mbokani is good but old and unproven, Austin is expensive and not the most elaborate CV, Destro is small and out of form and Gayle never really took off in the prem. There was a slight twitter rumour for a Loic Remy loan, but that was as brief as it was unlikely.

No one is really going in for Austin and with the probability that he wants to leave, a serious bid late on could take him here.

West Brom are apparently after Rondon from Zenit. This shows the pull the Premier League has on players, any players of that standard we are in for? (Mbokani is good, but verging on 30, so would only be usable for 2 or 3 years).
