1. Well done Norwich, a class above us on the day, worthy winners, enjoyed chatting to a few of you before and after, great friendly bunch, sadly they was a few knob heads from Teesside, but I hope you think they were a small minority. As for the Trafalgar square thing, it wasn''t over confidence, it''s just where we meet up for a sing song, 520 miles is a lot in a day and when your staying over its just like one big get together. Most of the regulars I know were anything but confident deep down Anyway just to say your fans though not the loudest were a credit to your club and city, humble in victory and a pleasure to converse with, goodbye for now and good luck for next season.
2. that''s based on each teams all time average so age does not come in to it, anyway neither boros historical higher attendances or Norwich''s bigger current crowds wont help either team, its going to be close this one extra time iam thinking. out of interest have you had any problems receiving your tickets? hell on up here due to a cock up by ticket master, thousands of tickets wont be posted out and need collecting, which has not gone down well with those living outside of Teesside. hope yours were better organised?
3. I must have missed the" ball swinging" its all being quite tame really
4. branston I don''t think there''s many boro fans playing "billy big balls" I would say its more a few coming in defence of our club in relation to some Norwich fans having a go, we tend to know our place in the pecking order, just pointing out the bigger picture, we are one of the most expensive clubs in relation to match day prices in a very low income, high unemployment black spot, add to that 5 years of dire football and its easy to understand why our crowds have dropped away. I have visited Norwich many times and have a lot of time for the people and like to see a fellow unfashionable club do well, I hope to bump into a few of them over the weekend, bit of banter over a beer or three wouldn''t go amiss, I think it will be a cracking atmosphere Monday , safe journey to all
5. jus for those who think football was invented by sky historically boro are the 16th best supported team in the country, Norwich are 27th
6.
"Boro have historically always been a better supported team" hahaha.
Middlesbrough are the better supported team historically, boro are the 16th best supported team in England, Norwich are down in 27th. that''s a fact not opinion
7. is there many Norwich fans in London Sunday night, lots of boro arriving Sunday, we tend to take over Trafalgar square midnight on the few times we have played at Wembley, the first time 1990 they was over 10,000 by 12am, be good to see some Norwich there
8. the god news is the ticket allocation is enough for both clubs to cover the number of fans who go regularly. as for which club is the bigger, well of course that''s Middlesbrough, granted NCFC crowds are bigger this season, but wait until you have spent 5 seasons in this league, Middlesbrough is one of the biggest unemployment black spots in the UK, and one of the lowest income areas with some of the highest walk up prices in the division. if you look at the historical attendances rather than just current you will find boro have the 16th highest, Norwich are 27th. boro have 60 top flight seasons to Norwich 24 seasons, we have produced more international players, spent more, have a bigger highest attendance, played in a European final, honours won are equal I believe, so I think they can be no doubt which is the bigger club. that said I quite like Norwich and wish you well from Tuesday onwards, you could always join us for a pre match party in Trafalgar square Sunday evening
