    Team for Bristol City...

With Trybull out I wouldn’t mind seeing Stiepermann alongside Tettey in the middle as he was originally bought as a midfielder and could prove a solid base, along as he’s actually fit.

I’d go exactly for what Rogue Baboon went with, it puts all the players in the best positions and could allow Murphy to show his obvious talent as he’d be unshackled, able to drift wide and run at the defence. His lack of denfensive awareness, although improving, would be less important if in that free role up top, rather than on the wing.

    Your Norwich City Dream Team?

Of the players I’ve watched I’d go for:

Green; Kenton, Mackay, Fleming, Drury; Eadie, Francis, Howson, Huckerby; Hoolahan; Holt

Subs: Ruddy, R. Martin, Olsson, Mulryne, Tettey, Bellamy, Roberts.

Not the greatest team but some of my favourites, would of liked Dean Ashton in there but 12months if service can’t get past the 3 forwards already there and also would’ve liked Bryan Gunn but only saw him play once in my second game against Forest. A 0-0 draw and Gunn was outstanding saving 3 or 4 shits right on the line even at the very end of his career.

    Classic Gunn

Never got to take one against Gunn, although I did get to take one against Chrichton as mascot against Rotherham in a 0-0 draw. Can''t remember him playing too many games so at least I''ve got the honour of that, and I scored bottom corner.

    Team for QPR...

As it''s a home game I''d like to see a 4-1-4-1 formation again as I think it''s suits our players better, I''d go for:

Gunn; Pinto, Zimmerman, France, Husband; Reed; Murphy, Maddison, Vrancic, Hoolahan; Oliviera.

Subs: McGovern, Martin, Tettey, Naismith, Wildschut, Watkins, Jerome.

    Championship Fantasy League

Got in second time lucky, because I signed up years ago with work it wiped my team and had to redo it all. Not the best site but does the job.

    Team for Fulham

I''m not sure if I''ve imagined this or not but did Tettey once play at right back for us under Hughton?? would be a more defensive option than Wildshut if Martin doesn''t make it and Gidfrey plays in the middle. Not ideal but needs must.

    Safe standing

i wouldn''t have thought the capacity would change much as the rail seats would be installed unless they''re significantly narrower. i would also think that they''d be installed in the snake pit and possibly the far end of the lower barclay by the hotel if it was to ever happen.

    Ip5w1ch Goal Music Vote

    I voted other, Canary Calypso

Did you know over 2,000 in IP postcodes

as much as i love the thought of swarms of yellow and green getting the train from the waste dump, most of the villages from dereham to thetford have an ip post code so i would imagine the vast majority of them come from there.

    New GK kit

I once had a goalie kit as a kid, the red with illuminous green and yellow detail that went with the blue 3rd kit from 99. But I barely see anyone wearing them.

Ideas for a better atmosphere at FCR

I voted to change the music, bring back the samba i say!!

As a longer term solution maybe a safe standing section, if legislation ever allows it, in the Snake Pit or part of the Barclay.

At half time keep it simple, have the crossbar challenge or score from the corner flag, none of those zorb challenges etc.

Could even bring back the relay races around the edge of the pitch for the local schools, they always got a bit of a cheer and will give the kids who race something to remember and hopefully get them infatuated in everything yellow and green.

    League Cup draw

Decent draw, hopefully £10 a ticket and kids for a quid and get a reasonable crowd in.

Who will we play first game?

Not sure who we will get first but no doubt we''ll play milwall on Boxing Day, it was always the or Palace.
  15. I don''t think it''s the strongest the league has been but I can see it being the most competitive it''s been in ages as I can''t see any team pulling away and could quite easily see the champion only having around 80 points at the top 10 being within 10-15 points of each other and I''d have a punt and Sheffield united being top 6.
  16. Solanke from Chelsea is available for free as wants first team chances, was rated higher than Abraham at the start of the season and wages depending could be worth a look at.

    Bassong's letter

I do beleive Lafferty''s wrote two letters, an F and a U, and blue tac''d them in the club shop window.

Squad Overhaul - Your Ins and Outs

Obviously it all depends on the Head Coach who will come in and what system we will use but based on a squad of 23 I would release Ruddy, Whitts, Bassong, Mulumbu and Lafferty, whilst taking the years option on Rudd, Toffolo and Bennett, primiraly as back up, I''d also be looking to sell Klose, Dorrans and Naismith for a decent amount whilst flogging McGovern and Jarvis by hook or by crook.

That would leave a squad of:

Rudd, Jones, Matthews; Pinto, Martin, Bennett, Godfrey, Toffolo; Tettey, Thompson, Howson, Jacob, Josh, Wildschut, Pritchard, Hoolahan, Maddison, Oliviera, Jerome, Morris.

I''d then look to bring in a new first choice gk, cb x2 and lb, with a back up/ young rb and cm.

I''d then look to loan out Matthews and Godfrey to a L1 side, aslong as they''re garenteed match time, to gain experience and would also loan out Morris is we ourselves could loan in a superior player.

    Strongest squad in the league

We may off had £30mil on the bench but the problem is we bought Lidl players at M&S prices but that doesn''t mean that they are, or can perform to, the higher standard. And quite a few have gone past their best before date.

    Villa v City Match thread

I like the line up today away from home against a revitalised villa. Hopefully with dorrans in the middle we can control the pace and can release Jerome and Jacob on the counter too, oh and Howson not too bad when 25 yards from goal either.

Also Morris is starting for Rotherham today so will be keeping an ear out for his performance today against Fulham.
  22. nat_canaries

a manager should have total control

It may not have worked for the top 4 side but if you look under that a lot of the middle tier clubs like Soton, Swansea and Spurs all have this set up in place and does help having the same set up and ideas running through the whole club from u10''s to first team so there is an easier transition all the way through to the first XI.

I for one tentatively applaud the board for moving forward and installing a modern template for the club to move forward with instead of settling with little old Norwich, but we have to get the right people in to not make this an expensive mishap.

Team for Tuesday v Bristol City

    I agree that we should start to think ahead for next season so I''m going for players who will most likely be here in August;

    McGovern

    Martin

    Bennett

    Godfrey

    Pinto

    Howson

    Tettey

    Wildschut

    Jacob

    Josh

    Pritchard

Subs: Jones, Klose, Dijks, Mulumbu, Maddison, Hoolahan, Jerome.
  24. nat_canaries

    Lafferty

If Jerome got injured today then yes he would be our only hope, unless AN went for josh or jacob up top as atleast theyed put in a shift and with Pritchard and Hoolahan in behind they could cause havoc getting into through balls, especially against Burton and the Neanderthals next Sunday.
  25. apparently you can watch it tonight on bet365 abroad so that may be a way to watch it so it could also pop up on streaming sites if not.
