  1. Over 1,000 times? Blimey, the punishment does fit the crime imo. As for the punishments for drugs etc, then increase them, don''t decrease Barton''s punishment.
  2. A sprinkle of good fortune for all PuPs, but especially TGD and Cosmic, City to win the game 3-1 and Celtic to win at Rangers
  3. I think we are quite blessed to have 2 areas of the Ground (Barclay and Snakepit) that drum up vocal support. Certainly not all grounds have that, for a start. It has been quieter for a lot of games, this season, and I also agree with the comment (Duncan''s?) about the originality of songs. I do hear ''tunes'' from other games on the tellybox, from fans, and can''t always hear what exactly is being said, but there is an obvious repertoire, that we struggle to match. Everyone is a critic, I know, but if a talented someone could come up with one or two songs that tell a story, (i.e a few lines long) that would be awesome.
  4. Too young for 71/72, but certainly remember the FA Cup game in 1978 when John Chiedoze ran riot on our left hand side. That was the only game my Mum ever went with me, and was disgusted with his treatment (racist chanting) and she swore never to go again.
  5. Are some City fans planning on singing "Garry Monk''s Green and Yellow Army" on Saturday?
  6. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWSWgXnrNxs For me, and there have been a few times, this was the most bonkers I have been/seen at Carrow Road. It''s Simeon Jackson........... If someone could do the clicky please, that would be great
  7. Today, Huddersfield and Fulham fans sang "Leeds, Leeds are falling apart, again" (To the tune of Love will tear us apart)
  8. But wasn''t Irvine the Coach under Neil? What''s changed? Was Irvine just happy to have a job, and did exactly what Neil said, even though he (perhaps) realized that it wasn''t the best way forward. That doesn''t sound right.
  9. The pressure is getting to them, so if we can just put a spoke in, early on................
  10. for the those that are bothered/neutral Binners lose,Wednesday and Fulham both win, Leeds (does anyone, ever in the history of the World, ever admitted they have a soft spot for them? No, didn''t think so) lose and that means that if we beat them, they will have blown the Play-offs
  11. So, was Alan Irvine, Alex Neil''s puppet? What influence did AI have on the overall tactics, when AN was in charge, if people are now saying that AI has made a few tweaks, since AN''s departure? Was it down to a release of pressure, now that we can''t finish higher than 8th? What about the Fulham performance? Is it ''just'' football?
  12. Mmmm Lessingham, you are technically correct, as he was the last City player to touch the ball before Pritchard scores, but what actually happened, backs up what I am saying, although I would take that end result EVERY time, unfortunately, that isn''t the case. Look, I am not having a go at the Murphys just to bring some negativity to this. I am the one who has already said that I do not understand all the hype about Brighton being lacklustre or (effectively) still on the lash. We played very well last night, and deserved the win. What I am getting at, is that (as did Redmond) both Murphys have , in their armoury, something that no other player has at City, but they are not making the most of that, and that frustrates me immensely (as did Redmond). That is, (if you watch them) due largely to a lack of confidence, and a match ''brain''. You have to make the best of any opportunity in life, and they could take their game to new levels, IF they were coached better. They occupy a position that they could make their own, but I just feel that we could strengthen that position (with them, for the reasons I have stated) to help the team. It would be great to have one, or both killing the opposition, but that hasn''t happened, hardly at all, over recent times. It needs addressing. Redmond suffered, early season, with Southampton, with exactly the same problems he had here (confidence/hiding in games etc) but, that has finally been coached out of him, and he is now flourishing (that comes from a Saints fan who has seen every game this season). The Murphys need that arm round the shoulder, and need special treatment, and need it asap. they are 22, so really can take their careers (and us) to new heights, if this is dealt with
  13. I was referring to Canary Call, from last night, when it was mentioned, but we did have a car full, so I may have misheard that!
  14. The reason I said after 60-65 mins was for the benefit of the team/match. He got in good positions, he even drifted past 2 or 3 defenders, but he then (again!) get''s knocked off the ball, pushes the ball too far, and gets dispossessed. His delivery is no more than average He was part of a break in the 2nd half, where he had (I think) Oliviera to his left (free) and Pritchard to his right, and played the ball too far wide for Pritch to take a strike on goal. This is synonymous with both Murphy''s this end of the season. I really wish the Coaches would nurture these boys, and work on their psychology, as they have something (as did Redmond) but (with all 3) but they look like rabbits in headlights sometimes. Watch either of them, when we are attacking, and how they (don''t ) react quickly enough to add to the attacking numbers, and put pressure on the opposition defence. They haven''t got the confidence, and that needs addressing asap
  15. I would agree with the timing of the subs, if not the choice. We were all talking at 60-65 mins to get Murphy off (hardly did anything productive, and wasted glorious space/opportunities) and also Oliviera, who both had less and less impact in the game. We also said to keep Tettey warm, for the last 15 mins,, as the 3rd sub Should have put Cam on, and perhaps t''other Murphy, to put fresh legs on, and keep the Brighton defence interested, as they started to move further up the pitch, and press us back.
  16. Why oh why are people banging on about Brighton being lacklustre and just come from the party (do people really think they were effectively playing with hangovers, or REALLY didn''t want to win the game last night, in front of 2,000 travelling fans and the cameras?), and not giving our team credit for playing well to counter them? We pressed very well, (Howson was blowing out of his backside after 25 mins) Brighton moved the ball very well, but had no threat in the final 3rd. They were frustrated when things/passes didn''t go their way. Make no mistake, Brighton wanted to win that game, but so did we, and we played very well, to counter them.
  17. He was shocking (yet ANOTHER one to add to the long list of awful Referees) At half time, we said, that he had introduced a bit of retro refereeing, in as much that he let things go, and allowed physical challenges (not that any other Ref this season has), and as long as was consistent, then fine, and that we hoped he didn''t have a aberration in the 2nd half, and right on cue........... The prat gave free kicks for people falling over etc. Absolutely awful
  18. Bournemouth to beat Middlesboro for me please. For the City bet, we are getting into the season end, which can mean some really funny results, so............. Norwich win (of any kind!) Best of luck to Greavsy and Vintage, and hope you can both add some £''s to the pot
  19. Whoah, just a cotton picking minute. Have you considered that the letter might not have reached it''s destination? Did you send it registered post?
  20. Looks like the Manager dealt with the ''tantrums'' this week. Excellent
