  1. Just gone through Grantham, and there seems more allotments than houses. So, that makes the leading question of the day, who, on here, has an allotment, and what do they get out of having one? Is it produce, solitude or something else?
  2. Oops, time is ticking on Can I please have a Man Utd win, and more than 2.5 goals in our game Good luck all
  3. Am I right in thinking that some fans believe our owners have to be fans of the Club, and yet happy that the players do not have to be ''one of our own'', and have supported us, since they were a child? Owners and players are a (equally?) vital part of the Club, aren''t they?
  4. 8, 8 and 9. (Yes, a couple of lucky guesses in there!) Enjoyed that
  5. Dave I remember, and I am sure I see him at City games, but I bet he won''t remember me. Mel''s name is familiar, but I cannot place a face to it. I can recall ''Barney'' and I think he had a brother play as well, possibly? I got involved, through Harry Calton''s son, who was a friend.
  6. Til, I used to play football in a team, that was managed by Chris Wilkinson, and which, as a result, contained many Policemen. I have also played Rugby at Wayland, and that was a great experience, when, pre-match, you''d have to walk through the Gym, and whilst some prisoners, were doing weights, and some of them had obviously been doing it for a long time! Also, after the game the Warders would conveniently turn a blind eye for a couple of minutes, whilst the prisoners that had played, were able to share the alcohol we usually took to away games (sports scientists would approve, I''m sure.....)
  7. As it''s the International break, some things crossed my mind; Why have the likes of Andy Cole, and Phil Neville, at their time of life, want now, to be known by their full, first names? Andrew , and Philip? Why (and when) were midweek kick offs, changed from 7.30 to 7.45? Why did a BBC reporter say "Not bad, for a days work", when referring to Mark Selby earning ÂŁ150K, for winning a Snooker tournament? They never mention footballer''s earnings. I don''t know if anyone cares enough to respond, but anyway..........
  8. For some fans, is it more a question of, "So near, yet so far"? As in, we have been in the Prem, but not quite got ourselves ''Over the line'' in terms of consolidation, there? We have taken one step, back but still got up to the Prem, again, but slipped away. Now we know, it is not easy to just get promoted, and stay there, but we have had more than one go, over recent times, and now we find ourselves, in the 2nd tier, not (yet) putting the heat, on the top 2 positions. Is it that scenario that s at the heart of the disappointment/entitlement, etc? I say this , with people like our neighbours in mind, with their sustained (pretty much, non-eventful) stay in the Championship, or teams further down the Leagues, who can only dream of Prem/Champs football
  9. Indeed Badger! That is why I put it , into two sentences.
  10. They have bandages, paracetamol, and all sorts of things there, NS
  11. Vrancic, is an obviously talented player. He is not playing very well at the moment.
  12. Parma, you are talking about where you think Farke should be playing him, we are talking about where Farke IS currently playing him.
  13. I''m with baldyboy, in that Vrancic''s job, is to assist the attack, not have a priority of stopping a possible counter attack. Otherwise what roles are the likes of Trybull and Reed about?
  14. quote "GJP" - He''s got the potential to play in the Premier League. And he might get around the England squad. But I don''t think you''re looking at a top 4 (or top 6) Prem player and England regular. - quote So, by your reckoning, GJP, then Redmond will be a regular in the England squad, and he will be an effective, top 6 Prem team, player? Also, how many mistakes does Redmond make, compared with how many positive contributions, over a 90 minute period?
  15. Villa win for me please For us, I would like to go for a 2-1 win Go get the money PuPs!
  16. Tbf, they play in different positions, but, for their individual contributions to the team, then I would definitely put Maddison in front of Redmond.
  17. Superb. About bleeding time though....................(or have they just not had any games in the last 3 months?!)
  18. If people are liking him to Surman, then does anyone know how Bournemouth get the best out of Surman?
