  1. B*gger kg. Be careful the beer doesn''t go off...........
  2. Ha Ha. I have rellies in Auckland, and have been 3 times myself, and they don''t listen to the South Islanders either, when it comes to Rugby! My Bro-in-Law took me to a Blues pre-season training session a number of years ago , and we managed to get a quick conversation, and photo with Sean Fitzpatrick. Not familiar with Levin, but we probably drove through there, on the way up from Wellington to Palmerston North, for a game during the 2005 Lions tour.
  3. I totally agree that a lot of ''Top'' football reasons are purely money driven, and the ''common fan'' is cottoning onto it, and life is slowly changing on that score. (empty seats etc) Loved the Nigel Owens reference! Good news for Camborne, and hope you can go from strength to strength. Where were you in NZ (you lucky bugger!), was it Wellington? Have you rellies there?
  4. STFU, you are spot on. It is just a small snapshot of the modern World. Sad indeed. Kg, you and I have a mutual love of Rugby , and the VAR equivalent works very well there. I know it is a different sport, and the dynamics of it, don''t always lend itself to football, but surely it is better to reach the right decision (it will get better, like I said) than have all this faux anger, prevarication and self-righteousness etc that exists now? Referees (and players/Management etc) will be educated in the process and application of VAR, so the ''bullying'' will be eradicated.
  5. It''ll get better and better, and people''s understanding of it will also. It''ll get more correct decisions given, than without this system, and that''ll stop a lot more of the ranting, posturing and indignation that football has, at the moment. In can only be a good thing
  6. "I was borrrrn, under the Barclay Stand, I was borrrrn under the Barclay Stand, boots were made for kicking, guns were made to shoot, if you come under the Barclay Stand, we''ll all stick in the boot"
  7. I''m the annoying bloke, at each game, who keeps shouting about movement. I watched a Barcelona game, the other week, and deliberately didn''t watch the ball, just when Barca had possession, just what their players, who were not in possession, did, and they were fluid, and a delight to watch. Constantly finding space, to offer the ball player 2/3/4 options. Now I am not saying we will be the next Barcelona, but there is so much more to learn from that level of side. At our level you don''t need the skills of Messi etc, you just need an open mind, and be more instinctive. Our lack of movement could be because our players are still trying to understand, and play, the Farke way, but that is certainly one massive part of our game that could be improved massively, and to create havoc.
  8. Thought I would resurrect this thread, seeing as there seems to be a division of people, divided , over the season being finished, or going headlong in a potential Top 6 finish. I am of the mind, that we will finish 6th-8th now. Nutty, I can''t find the PuPs season prediction thread (The one where we pledge money on many different things, like finishing League position, certain players scoring goals etc). Can you help?
  9. once he starts doing this with his head, whilst laying down; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMYRUco8dyM (1st goal) then I''ll be impressed!
  10. Time for the old Hanley/Klose combo, me thinks
  11. I thought Wolves had a couple of big units in midfield, if I remember rightly? The way they played at Carrow Road, lent itself to more good movement, than muscle tbf. This could be a direct tactical choice against Wolves, with Watkins (as opposed to Hernandez for example) Interesting.........
  12. We got a point, having generally played carp. That is always a positive.
