  1. Yeh, I know VW, and it''s not down to just his (or Godfrey''s) performance. It is down to the whole team, plus the job Lincoln did on them (plus a few decisions goings Lincoln''s way!) They must be doing something right, as they are playing in a successful team, that is, in effect, less than a Division form out current team, so they are not bad players at all. My point is really against my F-i-L, who hasn''t really offered any tactical insight, as to why Morris is the answer to our dreams, apart from, that he is a "big unit, with a bit of pace"
  2. My Father-In-Law keeps banging on every couple of weeks (and has done for over a year), that Carlton Morris is THE answer to our CF problems. After today''s showing (against League 2 defenders) I await his latest pearls of wisdom...........
  3. Cardiff are THAT bad, they can''t even convert a penalty past JR!
  4. Definitely right Basil, but can a better man than me, come up with stats, of promoted teams to the Prem, who have changed their squads (in what percentage terms) and have stayed up, over the last, say, 10 years or so?
  5. Currently playing. Two very good teams cancelling each other out, or two teams who (with their current squads) will really struggle in the Prem (if they both make it)? I am leaning towards the latter, although that lends itself to the rest of the Championship being poorer than many think? WIldschut has had a free kick (not very comfortably) palmed away by Ruddy, and that''s about it.
  6. The EDP are saying they will make an announcement on Season tickets tomorrow, and it''s going to be "Big news".
  7. Crafty, you used my post as your opening contribution to this, but you mis-interpreted my reason for contributing. My thoughts were along the lines of a mighty fine person not being on this Planet anymore and wishing there were more (not one less) of these type of people still alive, to make the World a better place. Him being a footballer wasn''t my reason, as in it was a loss to this World that we lost the brains of Sir Stephen Hawking, but he wasn''t in the top 20 best husbands in the World
  8. Crafty, my comment was due to him being a gentleman, that is all
  9. Sorry Ricardo, I just read it back, and I see what you mean!
  10. I wondered who he was as well. He was a big unit!
  11. The World is in a far poorer state, with his passing.
  12. Aren''t all parts of the ground, at the same decibel levels when we score?
  13. It''s going to be interesting to see the interaction between him and the crowd, in the remaining games, and his final press conference should be worth seeing, also.
  14. And FINALLY Warner turns up in front of the cameras (briefly) , if only to use his wife and kids as a sympathy shield. He needs a new media adviser.
  15. p-p I think it would have been far better for themselves, if they had all sat at the same table, singing off the same hymn sheet, so to speak. Re the blood etc tests, it isn''t just a quick process, and yes, I would agree, that it doesn''t take a lot to be civil and polite, but my rellie (born and bred Aussie, nice as they come) cannot stand it, when they (a general term for the team, but mainly down to a few of the ''senior'' players) turn up to be tested
  16. Loads of sponsors (inevitably) pulling out. It''s a bit of a she-ite storm, not just for the Sandpaper 3, but their team mates. Will watch the start of the latest Test with SA with a bit more interest. Wasn''t overly convinced about Smith''s contrition tbh. Also, I think it was a mistake, them (3) not doing a joint presser, to try and draw a bigger line as possible, under this week. Just waiting for the bullish Warner to put his mug in front of the cameras .
  17. On aside issue, I wonder how that announcement will reflect in their performances under him, for the rest of the season, especially in their current position (Not going up, not going down). I would have thought it better that the Binners and MM agree that he goes straight away, and have another Manager lined up , to jump in now?
  18. Yeh, but only for the early part of the season king!
