In the 2017 general election UKIP came a very poor fourth behind Bercow in Buckingham . Farage didn't do much better in 2010 . The speaker can't vote unless there is a tied vote , otherwise he can be voted out like any MP .

Only things you need to know about the Global Warming Policy Forum are that it refuses to say who funds it and it's chairman is Nigel Lawson , a man with no scientific credentials at all who covers the alarming gaps in his knowledge by simply making things up on the radio.

Some careful selection of dates there...starting for some reason at 1996 .Since the late 1970s, the Arctic sea ice extent has shrunk on average about 21,000 square miles (54,000 square kilometers) with each passing year. There will be variations up and down from year to year but what matters is the long term trend.

Not true: From the National Snow and Ice Data Center Unusual warmth continues November 6, 2018 "Over the Pacific side of the Arctic, a pattern of unusual warmth noted in last month’s post continued. While sea ice extent in the Chukchi and Beaufort Seas remains below average, extent remains especially low on the Atlantic side of the Arctic in the Barents and Laptev Seas. October sea ice extent in the Arctic was the third lowest in the satellite record." http://nsidc.org/arcticseaicenews/ https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/aug/21/arctics-strongest-sea-ice-breaks-up-for-first-time-on-record
The EU has voted to enact Article 7 procedures against Hungary which potentially could strip Hungary''s voting rights in the EU. This is because the sovereign Hungarian government, with over 70% support of the electorate has decided not to allow immigrants to cross its borders.

The EU demonstrating once again that it is an authoritarian dictatorship that cares nothing for sovereign democracy.

On the bright side this will only speed up the collapse of the EU.
What''s this ? Hungary is a " sovereign  government " and a " sovereign democracy " ? But it''s in the EU , we are regularly told on here we must leave to get our sovereignty back .

No doubt there is a simple explanation."

Eh? Search engines? How on earth could you expect to find anything relevant in those sources based upon the limited information at your disposal?

You seem to have time on your hands so I respectfully suggest that you get access to the signatories to Article 4 of the Code of Conduct for MEPs re: financial interests.

Records are kept but you will have to go back to 1999.

If the European Parliament were made up by just career politicians then it would likely be even more costly and corrupt than it already is.

Christopher Booker ? Not a reliable source of information. A man who despite overwhelming evidence thinks asbestos is harmless ( just the same as talcum powder apparently ) and that passive smoking poses no risk to anyone .

Getting back to the 21st cenntury , I see no mention of Tory star Toby Young''s attendance last year at an invitation-only, pro-eugenics conference and his belief in what he laughingly calls " progressive eugenics " . A man appointed by the Tory government this year to the board of a new university regulator.

Is there not an argument for just a little application of commonsense though, as apparently in 2011 70% of muslim marriages in Bradford were between close relatives of which over half were first cousins, as written by Sairah Kahn.  This gives a massive growing cost to the health service due to birth defects, especially as the muslim birth rate is so high ?   BTW first cousin marriages are illegal in the USA, China, Taiwan, Phillipines, North Korea and South Korea. No doubt political correctness will mean that we will not tackle this major problem .
by making it illegal in the UK also.
"First-cousin marriages, which are are legal in the UK, are practised

within Britain’s Pakistani community, as well as among some Arab and

    African families.

Medical data previously suggested that while British Pakistanis were

responsible for 3 per cent of all births, they accounted for 30 per cent

of British children born with a genetic illness
    ."

Nothing whatever to do with eugenics.....the complete opposite.
Belief in eugenics had little to do with politcal viewpoint and was based on a misunderstanding on the nature of inheritance common a hundred or so years ago. Best summed up by a probably a apocryphal conversation between Marylin Monroe and Albert Einstein. Monroe suggested to Einstein that they should have children together , as with her looks and his brains just think what children they would have. As Einstein pointed out , they were just as likely to get her brains and his looks.
