  1. no he only got the 2nd game if he could manage a win this game! they arent going to let him have the QPR game, and say im sorry we''re going to sack you whatever happens because you lost against Burnley. there was no way he could manage norwich city ever again after today.
  2. wrong mate he has!! wehay finally we can start to move forward ahain! celebrations tonight!
  3. id rather have worthy than him. and thats saying something. the whole point of getting rid of worthy is to get a better quality of manager into the club. he certainly isnt an improvement.
  4. yep hope he gets well soon. glad to here his condition has improved.
  5. it is true though. i remember alot of times last season where we just had to be the team to turn around the bad runs. werent we the first team to lose to millwall at their place? the first away win for sheff wed? its got nothing to do with being negative or not being a supporter by saying this, its just well known really. hopefully it wont continue.
  6. by the sounds of things so far, not many are happy with this, but yeh i agree could turn out well. yes he is 37, but he werent at celtic for no reason. could do alright upfront with earnie. and if teddy''s anything to go by, he''s got another 3 years left in him yet ;) lol.
  7. ''The 4-5-1 doesn''t work without Huckerby. No Huckerby requires a different formation or a striker who can win headers or hold the ball up!'' took the words right out of my wouth. word for word that is my opinion on it aswell. imo 451 is for huckerby, without him, we need to be 442.
  8. boyle cant play he''s cup tied or something. maybe shackell at left back with fleming in the middle?
  9. next time im looking for a tip, i''ll go with sky sports predictions! grr
  10. i must admit i had to look at the date that this topic was started! we are 5th, and no board in this division would sack the manager at this season, for footballing reasons. and how can you say: ''We would by now have a good strong manager who would not stand for the frequently weak and shabby performances of our so-called stars....etc..'' you have no idea of what kind of manager we''d have if worthy werent here. even though i was devistated and exremely peed off on tuesday night, i still think the season has started well, and i believe it will continue until the end of the season, with worthy as manager.
  11. i can indeed see fergie behaving like this, and im sure he has done. ''And striker Earnshaw backed-up his manager''s comments and said not killing the game off had been criminal. "We''ve got to finish it at 3-1 up - we should be comfortable," said the Welsh international. "They kept pumping long balls into our box. It was a bit too easy and in the end they got their little bit of luck with the rebound off our ''keeper. "But we''ve got to kill it. At 3-1 we should start to pass the ball. It was really disappointing, especially with all the fans who travelled and the performance on Saturday. "Tonight was a great performance, but those last 20 seconds have killed the whole night for us." '' just like earnshaw, im sure they all feel the same as worthy does. no respect lost.
  12. im not suprised you''ve said defeat, im sure alot of people have made the same mistake, as it felt probably worse than one of our normal away defeats. even though we can say, if we had got the corner, we would have won. but it was our own doing. not the ref''s. exactly the same as the palace game in prem season, nearly all of them lost the plot.
  13. but it is fact isnt it? surely he''s not on less than 1k a week?
  14. going forward, i think huckerby is much more of a threat to any team. downing is just more of a traditional left winger, and does get back, even though he''s not the best defensively imo. and downing is near enough 10 years younger.. kind of says why he is valued at a higher price.
  15. lol i think your talking about marcus bent!! and no havent heard anything with us, but apparently some other championship club have put in a bid.
  16. i wouldnt give fleming a higher rating than shackell, as he was only on the pitch about 5 minutes! so has to be a 6 for him too imo. gallacher - 7 had a reasonable game, rolled out the ball as often as he could which was nice to see. drury - 8 did well defensively and helped huckerby in the final 3rd. shackell - 6 wasnt at his best, but still did ok. colin - 8 got forward and was overlapping croft alot which was helping him out. looking the part now. huckerby - 10 was superb today and if that doesnt warrent a 10, then i have no idea what does! robinson - 8 great goal, and did well on the ball the majority of the time. etuhu - 7 good game, but didnt get involved as much as previous games. safri - 8 was a bit sloppy at times, but was always looking to be on the ball, and he did well with it. croft - took the goal really well, and its great to have him in our team. always a threat. earny - 8 - took his goals well, and kept up his amazing goal scoring record at home! subs: mcveigh - 6 he played ok, got into some good positions for crosses but failed to pick out the right players. (but to be fair to him we didnt really get anyone in the box) mckenzie - 6 hardly got a touch, but was always putting pressure on the defence. fleming - 6 didnt really do much, why did he come on?
  17. i dont think he''s unsung at all. i think his turnaround has been tremendous, and will get player of the season without a question if he plays at this standard through-out the season. he deserves his first goal he got last night, and im sure there is plenty more in the locker!
  18. it might be alan curbishley. some would say he is world-class?
  19. i would be happy with that one. werent he top scorer in the league in his last season for ipswich?
  20. i agree, we do need one. im sure we can get an experienced goalie for a free transfer anyway, and will be on less than green, so we''ll still be making a profit.
  21. it will be nice to go away and see a win! any win will do, but i think we will draw.
  22. that is alot of money. but so is £5.5m for what they got for heskey after scoring 3 goals last season, there or there abouts. still a £1.5m profit! but yeh, too much money, and is only been paid because birmingham are desperate to get out of this division at the first time of asking.
  23. ''(and I stand by all of the criticisms despite Etuhu''s slight improvement)'' i wouldnt call it slight! its the biggest turnaround in a player ive ever seen, considering the space of time he has done it in.
  24. i werent going to say anything about the injuries, didnt want to jinx it lol! but yeh, just hope for a good performance, but hopefully they dont play 90 mins, and stay injury-free!
