1.
^^^^^^^ what he said How on earth can anyone say they would go with Hoops without him kicking a ball this season v a striker who hit the ground running. Hoops will score plenty this season I''m sure, we didnt see enough of him last season to be able to have a proper opinion due to the well documented issues with the team shape etc etc I have faith in NA to rotate as and when required
How did we not see enough of him last year??? He PLAYED IN 32 GAMES WITH 24 OF THEM BEING STARTS. He played in 10 more games than ANY OTHER STRIKER. Seriously, how can people be this stupid?
 2.
That guy who said Hooper is a waste of space is a complete idiot and is talking nonsense. Hooper scored 8 goals for us in the premier league. So he did well for us last season considering the fact we only scored 28 goals - no other team scored less than 28 goals - that is how poor we were. I agree with some of the points made. Grabban should keep his place in the team - he has scored 5 goals and got 2 assists - which is far more than Hooper has done. Yes Hooper can score goals - there is no doubt about that. But last night he was poor - I read the match report and he had no headers or shots on goal for the 61 minutes he played. Part of the reason - he didn''t have any chances - was because players like Howson, E. Bennett, Ojida Ofoe, Garrido - nobody gave him the ball hardly to have an attempt on goal. But then if you want to receive the ball - you have to get into good positions and make runs to receive the ball. So his work off the ball - probably wasn''t good enough. The fact that Neil Adams took him off on 61 minutes - probably means he is not fully fit - and maybe because Hooper was having a poor game. I am sure though there is more to come from Hooper. Last night he had his chance to score a goal or two and he blew it. Now he will be relying on coming off the bench and scoring to prove himself to Neil Adams. I just can''t see Neil Adams dropping Grabban - 5 goals and 2 assists. Any manager who drops a player who has done that would be nuts.
Before you call someone an idiot, you might want to be factually correct, moron. HE DID NOT SCORE 8 PREMIER LEAGUE GOALS FOR US LAST YEAR. He scored 6 PREMIER LEAGUE GOALS in 32 games, 24 of which were starts and only 3 of those were from run of play HE SCORED 2 CUP GAMES THAT WERE NOT PREMIER LEAGUE GAMES. This isn''t difficult. HE DIDN''T SCORE 8 PREMIER LEAGUE GAMES, the ONLY reason he even had 6 was because 3 of them were PKs or fluke deflections
 3.
hooper is rubbish!!!! nothing but a short fat goal hanger who wants it on a plate, i havent seen anything in his time here to suggest any different and it will be a huge injury crisis before we see this waste of space in the team again.
EXACTLY this.
 4.
Hooper is a cut above Grabban, but same as ever, our midfield is the weak link. Whoever is manager when the window re-opens will need to be given a warchest to put things right.
Hooper isn''t a "cut above" anyone that is playing in a league better than 9th division..
 5. Of course the team looked completely impotent in attack, that''s what happens when garbage like Gary Hooper is on the field, doesn''t matter if it''s a League 2 team or a 9th division team, we weren''t going to score with Hooper playing...
 6.
I''d hate to see you have a break down when he scores for us.
Not something I''m gonna have to worry about...
 7. Yeah, he sure was injured all of last year... You might not want to opine about who is or isn''t an idiot, you don''t seem to grasp much...
 8. Fair enough. True, I am devastated that garbage like Hooper is rapeing the club of money without producing anything on the field.
 9. If I was actually a fan of another team, why would I be devastated Gary Hooper was on another team. It would just mean that my team would win with a clean sheet if he was playing against them...
 10. Matej Vydra scored 22 one year at this level, how''s he doing so far? Proven goalscorer...

Michael Bailey''s twitter: Palace signing Kevin Doyle on loan from Wolves - so Gary Hooper can rest easy.. .
this was 40 minutes ago, BTW, unfortunately Hooper is getting paid to ride the pine, if only another club was actually stupid enough to have wanted him....
Why don''t you rate Hooper. 20+ goals at this level, even 8 in the Premiership for a team that couldn''t score for love nor money!
Because he didn''t score 8 IN THE PREMIERSHIP, this isn''t hard to look up he scored 6. 2 of them were PKs 1 was a fluke deflection from 40 yards, then 3 goals from run of play in 32 games (24 starts) yeah, he''s great....
Aah, JD puts my mind at rest now and confirms that Hooper is indeed rubbish. Good job I didn''t mention someone like Torres, and at £50m scored only 2 league goals last season, the season Hooper scored, what was it 6!!!!Oh I looked it up. Hooper scored 19 in this league in 09/10. That must mean he''s rubbish. Oh yeah, 3 less than Grabban last year. SO Grabban must be rubbish too!
he scored 19 ONE YEAR. Cameron Jerome scored 18 at this level ONE YEAR, how did he do those other years?

 14.
Hope it''s Bassong, now we''ve got defensive cover. We''re losing a big player if it''s Hooper. Bassong however will not be missed
It''s not Hooper, they didn''t even inquire about him.
 15. It''s sad when Kevin Doyle is thought as better quality than this club''s supposed "best striker"...
