  1. sorry mook, i was perhaps once, one of darren eadie''s greatest fans, and yes, he was magnificent, but he was here a long, long time. Sorry, but after yesterday i cannot remember a player better than hucks who has ever worn our shirt, certainly not in a forward role anyway he was simply first class, and to anyone who says he is not premiership class, you were not there to witness it.
  2. i know, master green, it makes funny reading eh, me and first wizard agreeing with you maybe we should call it the huckerby effect and blame that game yesterday for clouding our judgement!! anyway, always great to have such passionate debate between supporters eh?
  3. as is with everything in life you get exactly what you pay for enough said
  4. i did have so much faith in worthy, that he would stand up to the board and their constant whingeing about no money, but then he has got in mckenzie, is this club really going to sign huckerby AND mckenzie after for months going on about no money? trust me first wiz, no one would be more delighted than me, but i think with the purchase of the usual second best fodder we ncfc fans have been used to for so long, our beautiful love affair with the great hucks is over, i know nig will be upset, of course he is, he can see all his dreams floating off into the sunset and the money men getting excited about the new stand, etc etc unfortunately, i now live on the south coast, so cannot see the local tv, so cannot comment on what worthy said, but i can only imagine the man is absolutely gutted. We all are.
  5. hiya first wizard could it be that doomcaster and co have finally seen the light?
  6. it was all i could do to stop myself going across the road to morrisons, buying a spray can and going back in there and scrawling NO AMBITION across all that luverly concrete
  7. sorry, nothing personal against mckenzie, but whoever they brought in INSTEAD of hucks is always going to be compared to him we have been well and truly let down by the board and well and truly amazed and spoilt for three months with darren huckerby
  8. i am with you all the way mate, am as angry as you and feel utterly despondent this morning, we have just witnessed one of the greatest individual performances ever in a city shirt and for the want of money we are told we cannot have him yet we can afford a player from peterborough, i know nothing about mckenzie but he will never fill hucks'' boots, never hucks has given us such a great chance to get out of this division and doomcaster and co will not take the chance to build on that and yet they are prepared to buy someone from division 2? football is indeed a very crazy game ....
  9. ummm, have to agree with him too thing is will worthy?
  10. i was shouting so much diane i cannot even speak this morning, everyone round me was in agreement, we must buy him my huckerby shirt - which i have worn since the reading game will be worn for the rest of the season as i know the guy will be with us in spirit thanks for the memories hucks, you are truly different class
  11. hiya diane, sorry for replying on your post to the excellent first wizard, but god what a game, it will live in my memory forever, what a stunning first goal, the man is out of this world and despite the nature of the win, i mean when did we last win like that, i was in tears as i left the ground, as we will probably never see a performance like that from someone in a city shirt again. diane, 1st wizard - we can only hope and pray that they can do something to bring hucks to carrow road, he wants to be here and boy do we need him here. I have watched NCFC since the early seventies and cannot remember seeing a player as exciting and simply as brilliant as Darren Huckerby He has given us three wonderful months, turned draws to wins, rescued us from defeat and turned on the abundant skills he has and left us breathless. Why oh why can we not just take a chance and buy him?
  12. john superb mate, my mate rainbowchaser and myself are in the middle of a song too, will post it on here later but yellow taxi is superb, brilliant I left that game bawling my eyes out, we won 4-1, the most emphatic win for ages, all orchestrated by a man we apparently cannot afford to buy well, board, what more did he have to do to convince you he was the passport to the pot of gold for god''s sake buy him for good diane, hiya mate, i can only guess you are feeling just like me this morning, i don''t think i have ever felt so utterly depressed about this club for years.
  13. yeah, right on first wizard - we all care about the club, just see things differently that''s all i for one so wanted hucks to take us to the promised land, now we will never know just how close we were i hope the prats in power are bloody happy with themselves no, don''t go soft hearted mate, keep plugging away, even those who argue football with you respect you for what you believe in just a shame this level of passion is not found in the corridors of power eh? hope to be speaking to you again soon!!
  14. but for hucks we would not be third in the table count up all the goals he has set up, all the draws he has turned into wins and the games he has turned from defeats to draws but for huckerby we would be nowhere and without him, we are going nowhere
  15. let me guess we can forget football and have open air dining a la delia on the pitch on matchdays lol
  16. hey wait up don''t include me it the "oh too serious, never take a risk mob", please!!! keep on with the jokes guys makes me forget for a while the biggest bunch of jokers to ever walk this earth come in doomcaster and co, your number should be up!!
  17. i really rate worthy, tactically sometimes he is a bit naive, but as far as playing this hopeless board, he has been first rate so far but everyone has their limits and if he is here at the end of the season i will be amazed
  18. add me to diane it is nice to know that we are not all firmly up the arses of doomcaster and co if struggling in division one is all they want every year, good luck to them i wanted the best for the boys - but the idiots in charge of the asylum had other ideas
  19. this is a hard one and knowing this board you can beat they would like to be the second but are in reality the first i have wept many tears over this club, keelan''s glove and i am not going to put myself through it anymore, saturday will be my final game as well as hucks!!
  20. that''s okay diane nice to know someone is as mad as me!
  21. 1st wiz you are so right mate don''t let the board lovers get you down, just wait for their excuses re our slide, and the sell off of all our talent, worthy finally giving up (god, that man must have the patience of a saint) some of us want this club to prosper, and there is ALWAYS money around there was money for the stand, the restaurant, internal refurbishments - but NEVER for what really matters, the squad i am naturally disappointed that huckerby is not staying, but who i really feel for is people like greeno, who must be really feeling let down now, he has a price on his head and will leave, because he wants to better himself, and being at a (at the best) mid table first division club with no ambition is not going to look good on the CV of a england goalkeeper of the future!! As for Worthy, words just fail me, i know he will have tried his best to get that money, and i for one will be astounded if he is still here in may
  22. 1st wizard music to my ears mate, entirely agree 100% and more saturday will be my last game at carrow road, i am fed up with the lack of ambition, the whingeing about lack of funds, of course there is no money munby (we are in division one!!), i am going to cheer on hucks and say goodbye. It will be a sad moment and I, like you, first wizard am reflecting back on the chase era, and how hard we all fought for our club was it really worth it? I just hope, for the players sake, something good can come of all this, but you all know what will happen, no one any good is going to stay somewhere where concrete and clay is more important than what goes on on the pitch to everyone who worships this board, good on you, i admire your faith and i will be very very intrigued to see the comments on here come april.
  23. hiya diane bloody hell, what a disappointment to find out today the board have not gone and done the business as you say, i will be there to give my full support to hucks, and give him a rousing send off as for the rest of the team, i just feel so bloody sorry for them, they all know that without hucks they are destined to play the likes of rotherham and crewe for a long, long time and before anyone says that is my view, it is not, it has been reported many times in the press. Goodbye hucks mate, if only we were a bloody ambitious club who put players and the team first, when will we ever learn diane, will be my last game too, cannot face it anymore, they have not realised my ambition and i don''t care what i am called, disloyal, fairweather, whatever, i have finally had it with this club.
  24. the money you mention from season ticket sales maybe spot on, but we don''t know how much of the general revenue the board are allocating to the playing squad. We buy Hucks and only jan - june needs to be funded as we have roberts, abbey and now notman off the books in the summer, not a fortune to find by any means, but a fortune waiting for us when he takes us up to the premiership
  25. and he better stay there - what do we want him for, he would cost as least as much as the two players we want to keep no, no way wolves, keep him for yourselves!! We are keeping hucks and crouch
