My preferred method is proportional representation (i.e. where people vote for a party) because: Every vote counts (well nearly every vote)It doesn''t have the vote splitting problem that FPP hasIt is more representative of the views of societyIt reduces the likelihood of a highly ideological and authoritarian party governing alone.It makes the parties more competitive (i.e. they are competing with all of the parties for votes, rather than just one major opponent) 
  2. What is your most preferred voting system for the UK''s parliamentary elections?  For example, FPP (the current method), AV+, a proportional method (e.g. MMP or PR), a ranked method (e.g. STV or preferential voting) etc.
