Can't disagree. It's just the idea of knowing that really, we should have done more and ultimately should have won, considering the circumstances. If Newcastle had 11 men, a draw would be brilliant I think
-
Exactly. Is what it is, but man do I feel gutted
-
For me, it is as per the title. Not many teams would have a 1 man advantage for so long and not run out winners. It felt a little like we didn't know this and were playing it far too coy for the most part. So much of our attacking play felt loose and vulnerable to fail. Displeasing to see, more so knowing we could come so close to safety with a win. Not sure if anyone would agree, but the lack of Norman looked apparent tonight. I genuinely feel he could have made a difference in going forward and also defending Newcastle's countering. Rashica may have been useful too. Obviously we can't change what is, but if fate had been alternative in us having them, I think we'd have nabbed it

*****Offical Lappinitup Match Thread*****

Shambolic so far. All this time against 10 and we've offered zilch. Scratching my head to be honest. -
Different balls used these days. Those affected now are those who played when the ball was effectively a cannonball. Of course that was going to create issues in later years. Now though, they're made of light materials and they weigh the same as a teaspoon. I can't agree that they would do any kind of damage in the modern game.

Although I can't stand Man Utd, for the sake of us, we need Watford to fail, so agreed
-
Do we know when/if we are to get Smith's first interview with the media for us to watch or read, or will it end up just being part of the pre-match one?

Hi everyone. I'm not one who would ask for any favours for anything normally, but I am a huge fan of squash and a regular player at the UEA. We have five top grade courts available, or did at least, until covid. Two of the courts were converted into an extension of the gym so they could space out. Totally fair enough. The UEA has now taken the decision to leave them as gym space going forward. This means we only have three courts now, and there is a squash league that takes place there, lessons and casual games. This lack of space is a hindrance to a lot of people in getting the courts they want. I suspect it comes down to money as they make more from the gym members than from the squash players, but it really shouldn't be down to that. If you feel like you'd want to help us get these courts back, it'd be appreciated. See the petition below. https://www.change.org/p/save-our-squash-courts?utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=custom_url&recruited_by_id=0a3014d0-446d-11ec-987d-c39a64736c41

Emma Hayes enters the betting odds
JB replied to cambridgeshire canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Not for me. No doubt she's done well in the WSL, but not sure it'd translate to the men's game. It may well be that it could translate, but we can't be running such experiments at this stage in our journey -

Based on the last outing, not sure they'll need any help beating us -
Yet again Tzolis and Gilmour left out the team

Would mean a hell of a pay out for him.....we all like money, right? -
If we lose today, I'd back bringing that banner out. Again, should we lose, be good to show some balls and protest for once rather than just be passive

The case for keeping a struggling manager
JB replied to Christoph Stiepermann's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I think the contents of an overused ashtray might do better right now. Went in today with so much positivity but was let down again - we all were. Why not roll the dice and see if another manager does the trick. Nothing to lose now at all. We either stick with what we've got and go down, or, we take a punt and we might still go down, BUT we may also put up more of a fight, which is something that simply won't happen with Farke in the Premier League. -
Yep, we truly did. Sung my heart out as did the whole stand.
-
Isn't the river end always silent? Try the Barclay
-
I disagree. The Leeds fans were silent the whole time. We were vocal and passionate. Perhaps you were at different match
-
Webber wanted the fans on side today and boy, did they get it. From th start we were fired up and behind the team. Half time rendered applause and we were happy. So, we concede. The fans stand behnd the team without a murmour of discontent, then we equalise. Happy as Larry, as they say. We all were extatic, behind the team more than ever. They then let us down by simply being sloppy and letting another in straight away. This annoys us right away and from here we are back to square one. So, if anyone dares to tell us that we need to back the players needs their head examined. We are incapable, and if that's due to the playing staff or manager, I simply don't care anymore. Blame needs to be placed somewhere, so where do we place it?
-
Not wrong though. Could be worse if he was talking about Norwich given he absolutely hates us. He's a bitter individual really
-
I appreciate his ideaology but I think that it's in the players court to get the fans back, rather than the other way around, as it stands right now. They're the ones being paid, right? Also I feel his wording on Farke makes him sound immune to ever being removed from the club. I don't feel that's a healthy attitude.

0-9 yet Southampton stuck with their manager
JB replied to lake district canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I suspect the OP is on a wind up to bait us. Don't bite -
If he's already been booked then he has to show more intelligence than that. Don't give the ref an excuse and he did just the opposite. Ref was entitled to make that call. Others wouldn't, but he was fair in doing so.
-
What is this reason you refer to?
-
If he wants to do that role, and that's what's needed, then as long as he has it, he's as much chance as anyone else.
-
If he has the credentials for a coaching role of his choice, he'll get it.
