4 pointsShef, you are so right about this. I remember having a meal with Delia in a bistro in Lyonš«š· a decade ago and telling her she would eventually roux the day she didnāt use her shares as a sauce of mornay to fund expansion. That she could say tartare to her credibility as a caring owner. All I got from her was a very tarte response and a blanquette refusal to listen to raisin. She actually threw a bit of a confit, saying I wanted her to take too big a bisque!

4 pointsI fully understand that opinions are formed on expectations to a certain degree, as Iāve said previously Iām disappointed we havenāt improved on McLean in 5 years, thatās not a criticism aimed at McLean but the club. In the current circumstances and knowing weāre going to be on a tight budget without promotion, extending McLeanās contract actually is a good thing, without funds for a replacement itās a no brainer. The club has to consider the worst outcome of no promotion and build for that, if we do go up, I can only hope we do finally get a better replacement.

3 pointsLewa was so emotional after that. Scoring in the world cup was one thing he desperately wanted to do in his career and it just hadn't happened. He talked about it in a pre tournament interview. Rough backstory too, His dad was the driving force behind his football development as a kid, and he died when lewa was 16. 635 career goals and to see him get emotional like that was quite something. He's in the top 10 international goalscorers in history now. Level with Pele on 77.

3 pointsI am at the match. Good to give some backing to a team that largely lives off gate money as distinct from having a wage bill 8 times higher than the gate takings.

3 pointsThanks very much for all the suggestions. My choice (all home/neutral wins) is: Welsh League Cup: Connahās Quay to beat Taffās Well. Netherlands Tweede Divisie: AFC to beat OFC. FA Cup: Wrexham to beat Farnborough. Spanish Primera Division Feminina: Real Madrid to beat Alhama. World Cup: Japan to beat Costa Rica. FA Cup: Ipswich Town to beat Buxton. - Nutty, ahead of me sending you the money, if you can find a tenner down the back of that sofa while Mrs nutty is not looking I would like a bet on these exotics. I have scouts at all of them bar the Danish game! Hong Kong Premier League: Kitchee to beat Eastern. (Saturday 10.00) Denmark Series Group 4: Odder to beat Djursland. German Oberliga Nordost-Nord section: Rostocker to beat Pampow. German Oberliga Hessen section: Eintracht Frankfurt II to beat Steinbach. German Regionalliga Nordost section: Energie Cottbus to beat Germania Halberstadt. (my pick) FA Cup: Bristol Rovers to beat Boreham Wood.

3 pointsGood news. Been one of our better midfielders this season and I'm not shocked that those who are experienced in football within the club seem to think so too.

2 pointsCome on Denmark, God knows the world doesn't need another France world cup win..

-
2 pointsThey most certainly would not if there was a smattering of seats in the ground that get passed down from generation to generation without any further payment to the club.

2 pointsThe repayment option is the fallback provision, the option of last resort, but only if everybody canāt work together. Would repayment be relatively expensive for the Club? Yes, certainly if we were in the Championship. However, is that the real intention for MA and his team - it certainly doesnāt sound that way from what weāve heard so far. And, the flip side, if repayment is expensive for the Club, the conversion rate into ordinary shares is equally expensive for MA - the increased 10% shareholding is far more expensive, at well North of Ā£100.00 per share, than anything paid by existing shareholders. Howās this inequitable to existing shareholders? So, in the round, the real questions to existing shareholders are, are they more concerned about the potential dilution in value of their existing shares in the Club, or do they welcome the potential increase in equity (investment) in the Club on whatās (by historical standards) relatively expensive terms. Personally, I know where I am with this. OTBC.

2 pointsA few days ago they announced over 3,000 tickets sold so should look impressive on the tellybox this lunchtime.

2 pointsNone of us win from this...if this is our ambition and standard, we're going nowhere

2 pointsEvery team needs a player like Kenny McLean in the Championship. No, he's probably not EPL quality but not many of our squad are. In fact there's probably only a handful in the entire league, but it's a really high bar. There's certainly an argument the club should have recruited better last season but that's not Kenny's fault. He's a manager's dream because he does what he's asked to whether it's AM, DM or even LB.
-
2 pointsAlways gives 100% does Kenny. Underated by many fans but not by the managers. Im happy for him.š
-
2 pointsI really don't get this idea of having a scapegoat who's fault it is when everything goes wrong. He's one of our players and, believe it or not he's certainly not the worst.
-
1 pointThey played so well at Doncaster in the previous round. A repeat performance of that display gives them every chance today. live on the BBC 12.45. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/63503713

1 pointI have always assumed the deal as set up is simply an escape route for either party. If A does not prove to suit the current owners and the Board then he will in due course have his investment returned plus interest - full stop. But if the "marriage" goes well he will convert the pref shares, Delia and Michael will hand over enough shares for him to have full control and Tom will have the remainder. In the meantime hopefully the Club will survive the chaotic world of football finance and provide some decent entertainment.

1 pointThis contract renewal/extension really is lazy management of the squad make up. McLean and others, along with Hanley, are yesterdayās men. They have no place in the future of an ambitious club. Unless.. Unless everyone is reconciled to an extended stay in the Championship or worse. In that scenario McLean could be viewed as a barely adequate squad utility player to cover injuries. But he has no place in a Club looking forward and beyond the Championship.

1 pointNo one is getting hurt in that tackle unless they land badly, with everyone's feet up like that , it's a glorified trip.
-
1 pointI think the most scientific poll I am seeing at the moment ( and things can change ) is QT with the audiences roundly laughing at the Tory or Tory supporters on the panel and Peston where even the Tory representative is not defending the Tory that comes on and gets a right grilling.

1 pointThis is dreadful news! What are they thinking at Carrow Road? There are a number of āsenior playersā who are just too comfortable at Norwich City, they have no ambition, no hunger , no leadership and set a poor example to the younger squad members. There is a time when these older has beens need to be moved on for the good of the Club. McLean is 30 years old (31 in 6 weeks time) and we give him a 3 year contract with an option on another year? Outrageous! This is just more of the same lack of ideas and direction that we have seen since Dean Smith arrived and Webber decided to go fell walking.

1 pointMcLean is part of the problem not the solution...and anyone who thinks he's part of the solution is also part of the problem.....i.e Dean Smith , An extra year to protect whatever value he has , possibly?....but 2 years with a further option of a year? If he's he's still seen as a first choice midfielder, to the extent that they dont envisage having to improve upon him in the midfield dept , it is a major failure in our recruitment. There are some eho seem to think he's been one of our better midfielders this season?....I dont agree with that but even if he was , its proving to not be good enough...and McLean isnt going to get any better The solution isnt to reward that mediocrity , it is to improve the recruitment/coaching in that department
-
1 pointUnfortunately being able to sign Premier League quality players whilst in the Championship is not particularly easy, and if it were all the league would be doing it. I would imagine that if we don't get promoted then we'll need a replacement for Hayden, so it makes sense not to have to be looking for a replacement for Kenny as well. Kenny is effectively a free transfer and a good bit of business at that.
-
1 pointWould be great to finally meet them and let them know that thereās one team in Norfolk Get back in your box, Lynn, you are basically the midlands.

1 point16 million (10*1.07^7), but at the end of the day it's a loan for a lower rate than inflation at the moment, so if you have to borrow money, it's the best way of doing it; I'd happily bet he'll finish up converting them to ordinary shares anyway, based on nothing other than my feelings about it.

1 point...this season it also guarantees top 2 is out of the window and top 6 is in serious jeopardy
-
1 pointGreat news. Good job that multiple managers donāt listen to the haters on here
-
1 point...and in one tweet, the club have revealed the level of mediocrty they now aspire to no longer a good enough player to get us promoted from this league...and if we somehow did - with him piggybacking on it....blatantly not good enough in the premier league 3 years?!?!? bet he can't believe his luck ...just hope the next manager (who will be along in the next 6 weeks) sees through him if it is to protect a value so he deosnt walk for nothing , ok.....but 2025 ?!?!?!?!?!??

1 pointIt would be somewhat wasted on you, so no. The fact he is a starter isn't his fault and certainly at this level he is more than capable and has proven it in two title winning seasons. This season there isn't another Central Midfielder who's managed to perform at his defensive level alongside also having a goal and a couple of assists. That both Farke and Smith rate him would normally be enough but... I have no problem with him moving to Scotland in the summer and I think it would be good for him to start afresh away from the nonsense peddled by a section of our fanbase. At least it only seems restricted to the PinkUn as recently we've had Kenny's name sung in the stands a couple of times.
