Just been nosing on the Spurs forum and came across the following: *********************************** My 22 year old son Michael Read was hit by a car and killed on the 2nd of October. He was a massive Spurs fan and we watched all the matches together. He will be mentioned in the obituary section of the programme on Sunday, and I will be sitting in my usual seat, but without him next to me. We miss him so much. It would be great to get everyone applauding in his memory on 22 mins. He would love that. I'll be in stand 503 with some of his family. If you could do that and spread the word through any other forums it would make Sunday's game even more special for us and for Michael. *********************************** A terrible thing for anyone to lose a child, at whatever age, and it is events like this when sporting rivalries are hopefully forgotten and sports fans join as one, if only briefly. I have no doubt that Norwich fans will show respect to the family.

All I know is that Rittenhouse is an inadequate human being, a fantasist vigilante and that if he had turned up in this country (or in fact almost anywhere else) with his gun the police would likely have shot him dead & nobody would of blinked least of all those on the 'right'.

When the match kicks off tomorrow we will be up to 18th, one place off staying up. Yours optimistically

You have put up away attendances. Have some time away from the forum. It will do you good.

All I know is its not good when people idolise and think its good, that an 18 year can shoot dead people, regardless of history or character, with a sub machine gun during a riot and get away with it. He is a poster boy for the far right that believe white people are under attack and crave violence.

Terrible decision. He would have got it right there if they had some patience.

Really, do we need to go back again! On the spur of the moment, the councillors decided to purchase it, you’ll be telling us you were one of the councillors next! You tried to cover your bigoted comments by trying to show you weren’t and as other we found out you lied! Canadian Bench – A photo of a metal bench erected by the Parish Council. The bench is opposite of the tree split by the Spitfire in the crash. The bench has two maple leaves and it is painted with Canadian colours. This was erected by the councillors who were attending an exhibition elsewhere, and who decided on the spur of the moment to purchase it in honour of their Canadian hero.

I’d be even more angry if I had any idea who Lianne Sanderson is .

it's the unpredictability for sure. at current levels it's a bit of a nuisance but not a big problem. We've seen what can happen if our vaccine wall fails though so I guess the key is gaining trust in that. For me, I'm still confident it will but I appreciate others are more apprehensive. I'm waiting for my go at the sniffles later this week after being sat watching the panto surrounded by snotty kids this afternoon anyway! Gotta give Dr Pfizer a bit of a test at some point!

Quite, the county of Cambridgeshire has such an affinity with intelligent people and yet some of its inhabitants are so clearly lacking 😉

I expect if you travelled back in time 60 or 70 years before flu jabs were ‘a thing’ people wouldn’t be as dismissive of ‘just flu’ as some on this thread are. A lot of people who have been lucky enough to live through the least risky period of human history ever who appear to have forgotten that humans die of things.

0-3 Norwich a hat trick of goals by McLean as such; first goal hits the back of McLean’s head and slips under Lloris. Second hits McLean’s left **** cheek wriggling under Lloris. Third hits McLean’s right **** cheek sneaking under Lloris. We go home the winners and crowds line the street to celebrate the homecoming of the much maligned Mayor of Norwich.

I think the treatments are getting better and certainly we don’t bat an eyelid at 40,000 deaths from flu in previous years, so if Covid death numbers keep to around 750 a week, then it’s in the same bracket now. It’s a mad world where with social media and the global network it’s made Covid a focus which is going to be hard to shake off into the background. Agree about global vaccinations, far too slow.

Following on from this line of though - I suspect England will eventually end up rather like Switzerland - surrounded by the EU but de jure not part of it but de facto will be. Sadly it will have little influence on world events.

He shot dead a person who was convicted of abusing a minor, a skate boarder with mental issues and seriously injured an unharmed guy who was offering medical assistance. The fact those on the right hold him in high regard shows the mental capacity of those idiots. Letting off an 18 year old who armed himself with a sub machine gun and shot dead people he knew nothing about brings America closer to the civil war those on the racist right so hope for..

And here we have the fundamental issue of football. It is run as a business, with those who profit and those who lose their money. However it is also a cultural institution for communities up and down the country. I'm both massively saddened for the city of Derby if their club goes under, and feel that a business must be forced to pay it's taxes. I'm of the opinion that a complete restructuring of how football works in this country is necessary, that means an appreciation that unmitigated, unmanaged spending is not responsible and needs to be regulated.

The English football community has sat back and watched the plights of club's with lengthy and proud histories like Bury, Chester City and Macclesfield Town with barely the faintest of shrugs. Will the demise of two-time champion of the entire English football pyramid and previous FA Cup winner force it into some sort of meaningful reform? Will it bo**ocks.

Gilmour’s performance last night vindicated Farke’s decision not to play him. For somebody who has plenty to prove, and with plenty of space to perform, he was thoroughly disappointing..

Krul Aarons Hanley Gibson Williams Rupp Gilmour McLean Giannoulis Idah Pukki Clog up the midfield & keep it tight. Aarons & Giannoulis for width. Sargent, Tzolis/Dowell & PLM off the bench to nick a late winner. 3 away points brought home from London, happy days!

Everyone is going to get it at sometime, hopefully with the vax prog and new medication it will be a mild illness for most of us. The odds are much more in our favour than twelve months ago.

Noooooo Kathy . This is terrible news . We are running out of agents 🕵🏻‍♂️

Agreed. The inconsistency was a classic sign of a quality set of players not quite set into a functioning team yet. We had that in Farke's first season, amongst a ton of dross and sideways footy, but kept patience.

Yep, never understood why we let Emi take the corners - it was far and away the worst facet of his game.

Dan Marino? I'm not surprised he looked good against the Miami Dolphins 😀 Harry Kane wasn't that good on loan to us either, whatever happened to him? I suspect Billy will win more things in his career with better players around him than the rest of our squad put together. At the moment he is part of a bang average midfield.

These countries have had two years to remove these legal orders, the other (20) countries in the EU managed OK within the time frame, this is the EU making sure it's treaties are being acted upon. The UK also had some BITs with other countries but they also decided to terminate them. What is your problem with this action?

I love Todd, but I completely get LDC’s point. Each event is explainable, but it is frustrating, and Dowell must be annoyed at the treatment Todd gets.

The traditional ones who turn out, Tories, obviously sat at home because they had no intention of giving Boris any sustenance but could not bring themselves to vote for anything other than Reform. I expect Oakeshott will be blabbing on about how the Reform party are preparing for Government and her boyfriend will be PM. Of course, the Tories didn't really want to hear the word party yesterday.

I would try a bit of a change and go............. Krul Omabamidele Hanley Gibson Aarons Giannoulis Gilmour McLean Dowell Pukki Tzolis Of the 3 centre-backs, 1 of them pushes forward closer to a CDM whenever possible. At Spurs corners/free kicks etc Tzolis is told to stay up as an "out ball" and is free to run at defenders. Dowell there for creativity, in particular - set pieces.

Has to be sensible to give a 2nd goalkeeper some proper game time. How else are they going to be ready if needed suddenly on a PL match day?

HMRC have given into countless big corporations and multi billionaires, who after a cosy chat get a reduced bill... one rule for... The system of appointing administrators, who themselves take millions out of a failed business, at the expense of creditors is a corrupt closed shop and needs to be replaced with a non profit organisation, who's interest is only on what is best for owners, staff, creditors and all other interested parties.

You have no idea what you are talking about. And just for your information i do not and never would condone the use of offshore tax havens, its a form of stealing. BUt it happens because the UK Government allows it to happen and no other reason. They could stop it tomorrow but refuse to do so.

He's a very good attacking full back. Assists is a completely meaningless stat. He's currently averaging more key passes (ie passes that lead to a chance) per game than almost anyone in the squad.

This popped up on Craig Charles yesterday. Post punk/gothy with a good riff that has a hint of Maiden to it.
