12 pointsVilla Fan in peace Cracking signing lads. I really wanted him to join Villa last summer. Everything I read at the time was that we bid 24m and they wanted 35m/40m. From what I have seen of him he is real quality and you guys pulled off a bit of a coup to get him I think. I am looking forward to seeing him in the PL next season and seeing what we missed out on. Good luck next season, hopefully u manage to stay up

12 pointsI really don't get the reservations. Ā£2.5m up front, Ā£2.5m over time. 25 years old, one of our own, capable of being our number one keeper for next ten years. It's a deal that makes absolute sense to me. Think of it not as a new number two, but as Krul's long term replacement. I think it's an absolute steal.
-
11 pointsWe have loads but they are full of bloody Villa fans and you know what they are like. Apparently we are going to win the PL next season after outbidding City for Harry Kane and then win the Champions League the following year when we add Erling Haaland to our squad the following summer

5 pointsI'm an old guy, and a Villa supporter sine the 1950's. I've just joined the Pink Un to congratulate you guys and gals on signing Milot Rashica. We were hoping to sign him last summer, and believed that 25 mil was probably a fair price, so for you guys to pick him up for a real steal is great for you. He's a cracking technician, but time will tell whether he's tough enough for the Prem. I genuinely hope he's as good as I think he can be for you. Good luck next season, and thanks for Emi. We'll look after him. Cheers.
-
5 pointsAgreed. With the rainbow theme, it could be used as a third kit two or three times during the season with the Justin Campaign advertised on the front, if the club wants to make a charitable donation, especially as we're scheduled to play Liverpool away on Justin's birthday.

3 pointsMake sure you get Emi really fired up before kick off too, he wonāt do anything rash

3 pointsThis is all very confusing. He should be on his way to Crystal Palace. That bloke who no-one had heard of before he left had all our secrets, surely he would've downloaded the NCFC's recruitment teams database onto a handy pen drive. Day one in the new job upload the data and send out the transfer requests and Palace's squad is refreshed. Obviously this guy is no good as the bloke no-one had heard of before he left decided not to buy him for Palace. š
-
3 pointsHopefully a great signing! Do feel Duda would have come good had we signed him pre-season and had the chance to get him up to speed, rather than throwing him in. He is a good player.

3 pointsThe route of all England's problems imo is that whoever is the manager tries to play football like all the other international teams, slow, patient, very cautious football with lots of horizontal passing and no pressing or rough tackles. Virtually every player in that team plays in the Premier League, not one of those players plays in a team that sets up like Southgate sets his side up, they're not used to playing that way and it's not going to get the best out of them. We should be trying to impose the Premier League style on other teams and see if they can handle it. By that I mean give them absolutely no time on the ball, harry, press and fly into tackles, absolutely bully teams in the middle of the park, get the ball forwards as fast as possible, run and dribble at players, play for dangerous set pieces etc I have a feeling it would be a lot more successful than our current approach

2 pointsHow was the Van Wolfswinkel signing not ambitious? It turned out to be a bad one for us and player, but it was clearly ambitious, so is this.

2 pointsJesus, have you actually heard yourself you miserable git? It's better. It really is better. If you don't like it don't watch it. Some people on here really just want to moan, if things are going well they really don't like it. Norwich, England, anything.
-
2 pointsClub record signing, linked to big clubs in the past, PinkUn forum excited (including me). Guaranteed to be a flop, absolutely nailed on, probably shouldn't even bother giving him a squad number. Wake me up when we sign an Andorran journeyman centre back from Sparta Rotterdam's 2nd team who has come to us for 25k via a less than inspiring season on loan at Wrexham. Then I know that we will be staying up.

2 pointsPlease can we take a moment to think of dear old Uncle Fred. He must be devastated by this very sad news.
-
2 pointsHe certainly knows how to take on the defence, and can hit the ball. A few of these at CR will warm things up. And well done the club, for another signing out of the blue.
-
2 pointsHas Sancho been nailing Southgate's daughter or something? Saka is a decent player, but I find it strange that he's ahead of Sancho in the pecking order.

2 pointsThe EU is not so desparate as "Global Britain". Joining the CPTPP is pretty much worthless, it is all a gesture to reassure idiots like @SwindonCanary that what they voted for isn't a bit ****

2 pointsWhy do all these football skills videos have to have stupid technica music, require you to sit through 30 seconds of rubbish scene fades and GIGANTIC FONTS OF THE PERSONS NAME as if you can't remember who is it you are watching this video about? š
-
2 pointsIf all this is true regarding 4 quality incoming transfers, then itāll just annoy me further when seeing people moaning about Webber etc not bringing in the complete new squad 2 minutes after the transfer window has opened. There is no excuse for that. This will be a crazy good START to the window if true! Well done Webber etc! š

2 pointsThe NCFC ITK account going nuts this afternoon. Suggesting Ajer has agreed to join us and Gilmour is in fact a done deal. Very positive stuff.
-
2 pointsGreat signing this. Dropped off a bit this season, but that was largely due to Werder Bremen's form as a team rather than his individual performances. The season before he was being linked with major European teams (not the elite but the next step down, think Napoli, Sevilla, etc.). so this is potentially a great signing. The Emi Buendia replacement for sure. In terms of play he's a bit like a Timo Werner, not an out-and-out striker but can play anywhere along the front line.

2 pointsA serious report into education standards is turned into another part of the culture war. These ****os aren't in the slightest bit interested in fixing the problems facing this country but simply want to keep us divided so we don't notice. Get rid of these clowns if you have any affection for this country.

2 pointsI cannot take them posters seriously. Itās the ones who believe whatever they say is right and what you say is irrelevant. One came at me once and when I proved them wrong, I got āIām not interested in what you thinkā blah blah.
-
2 pointsThe England team against Scotland had 6 players who have played in a Champions league final (5 this year). If that isn't world class I don't know what is. The problem is their gutless manager.
-
2 pointsI guess itās all subjective Gunny, because on the flip side I see no reason why we couldnāt be the team handing out a 4-2 given the talent we have going forward. There are goals in that England team in spades featuring starting world class talents from Man City, Chelsea, and other top drawer elite clubs. Itās not like we have dreadful players at the back either when you look at the squad list. Most are more than capable of playing at the highest level, and do. Put it this way, I wouldnāt mind seeing a bit more of a happy medium than outright pragmatism. Our style is all wrong thus far.
-
2 pointsMy predictions: 1. Southgate will continue to be frightened of his own shadow. 2. If they lose then Kane will be scapegoated for not running in behind more. 3. Southgate will play as many holding mids as he can find. 4. Phillips will start. 5. Grealish wont start. 6. The aim will be to pass the ball backwards and sideways and anyone who passes it forwards will be subbed.

2 pointsIf we come first in the group, we play the runners-up of Group F at home in the last 16. If we finish as runners-up, we play the winners of Group F in Russia in the quarters (if both teams, as expected, win in the last 16). Winning definitely is the best option.

1 pointWith most doses in the U.K. now being Pfizer we should be ok for 19/7. I still think you guys in the Oxford club will be given a dose of Pfizer as soon as our new order begins to arrive. I can also confirm there will be boosters now as the major venues up here have been sending emails today cancelling private functions as ā they will be vaccinating well into the new year ā. Their words not mine.
-
1 pointI wouldnt want both. The idea of our entire central midfield being players on loan with very little chance of a permanent deal isn't ideal.

1 pointIndeed. We do some things differently as we try to maximise gains on the margins of our model. Just as we pay high for developing, well-regarded lower league talent, there is great logic in paying high for Sporting Directors, technical staff and (say) 360 Football bots. These are high cost for what they are, though influential and ācheapā versus wages and transfer fees. Thus a key role, with a groomed successor in the building, would be highly unlikely to be ālostā for a few dollars more. We can - and do - pay well for such things under our model (rightly). Parma
-
1 pointI assume you are referring to his, err, 'undistinguished' spell with us a few years ago? I don't think Webber & Farke would be prepared to take a risk on a player who was so clearly overawed by the surroundings last time he was here...........
