8 pointsSelling your club to Russian oligarchs wanted for war crimes and Far East conglomerates who have gone bankrupt 6 times already is so 10 years ago I don’t think we should settle for any less than: > An African warlord with child slave soldiers > A high up official in a country that isn’t recognised by the UN > Somalian Pirates > Caribbean Pirates > The Actual Vladimir Putin (that’d be wild!) > The Sinaloa Mexican drug cartel > The Ghost of Genghis Kahn Anything less just isn’t going to get us the ‘Gram followers we require, and let’s face it, that’s what modern football is all about.

7 pointsI don't necessarily agree. We've changed quite dramatically how we use the two defensive midfielders and our goals for and against columns are dramatically different from two years. We have more clean sheets with 13 games remaining than we did in the whole season two years ago. We are going to need to recruit well, 5 or 6 players including at centre-half, right back, defensive midfield, no.10 and striker. There will be an opportunity to do that with significant finance available should Max and/or Emi leave. From then on it's still an uphill battle but we do have some very good players capable of stepping up. It is possible for us to make a much better fist of it.

6 pointsThis simply isn’t true. Excitement doesn’t mean better. We are a better all round team this year. Gibson the best CB we’ve had in a long time and Skipp partnered with another deeper thinking midfielder (rather than Vrancic) shows that Farkes focus has shifted more to a solid base. Performance wise defensively we miles ahead of 18/19. Attacking we have Cantwell added to the already prolific duo of Emi and Pukki. Add in flashes of brilliance from Vrancic and I’d argue we’re better on an attacking sense too. We have much more control of games this season which was very much the trait of Farkes Dortmund ll team. It feels like he’s really starting to get what he wants out of his City side.

5 pointsFrom what I have seen, most people want the club sold to a football mad, multi-billionaire, lifelong Norwich fan with a deep understanding of the game who is in it only to build the club up to be in the higher reaches of the game whilst also keeping away those pesky glory supporters and keeping the identity of a club beloved by a small city and its immediate area. As it is we are still waiting.

4 pointsDidn't we stay in the prem for 3 seasons not so long ago? Is that not competing?

4 pointsNailed it. If you can't separate the manager from the man, you're ignorant. No other word needed.
-
4 pointsour thoughts before today were reflecting on his 14 months managing our team. Our thoughts after today are reflecting on his passing at a young age, and leaving being a young family etc. Is it that hard to understand? If you cant anything nice, then dont say anything at all is usually a good rule.

3 pointsAttempting to score Brexit related points off Worldometer mortality figures is a totally pointless exercise since we know that many countries reported Covid related deaths bare little resemblance to their reported excess deaths for the pandemic period. Italy, to site one example, has around 40% more excess deaths than have been attributed to Covid. The U.K.'s numbers are probably not far out from reality, although we are all aware anecdotally on this very forum that some peoples relatives deaths have been wrongly attributed to Covid. When this is over we are unlikely to see major differences in most countries who have suffered the full force of the pandemic.

3 pointsYes Lambert did very well for us, but it ought to be clear from his subsequent behaviour that his only real motivation was to do well for Mr Lambert. City were merely instrumental in his plans for his own self-aggrandizement, and as soon as he thought he could do better he was off in acrimomy. I can't remember Lambert expressing any genuine gratitude to the club for the opportunities it afforded him. Farke is the very opposite. Time and again we hear him speaking about what a privilege it is to work for NCFC, both for himself and the players. I would be astonished if some top european club doesn't take him from us at some stage, but I bet when he does leave it will be an honourable and civilised departure filled with gratitude for what working for NCFC gave him. As characters they are chalk and cheese.
-
3 pointsI don't believe that at all. A vociferous few want Delia to sell out but I suspect most NCFC supporters are fully paid up to the self financing model and proud of what Smith and Jones have achieved which at present is doing us all very well - both the value of the club to the local community and financially to the owners. Yes if the right buyer came along then things may change. Would you wish a Marcus Evans upon us? NCFC is not a financial basket case or hobby as per many other clubs even in the higher tiers.

3 pointsA semi final winner? A winning goal vs your local rivals? A winning goal in the last couple of minutes of a game?? .....what if its all 3 in 1 ??!
-
3 pointsI've been known to watch the video of Klose's equaliser against Ipswich, filmed by one of their fans in the away end, multiple times back-to-back, on more than one occasion.

3 pointsWell the lads gone down easily there , but I’ve seen ‘em given.

3 pointsOf course it will be extremely tough if we go up, but one thing you can guarantee is that neither Webber nor Farke will imperil the future survival of the club by spending money we can't afford. We could have easily blown £40m+ on Amadou and Duda last time round, luckily we had them on loan instead. Portsmouth, Bolton, Sunderland, QPR etc, etc ought to be enough warning to fans calling for them to throw money recklessly at the attempt to retain premier league status. And but for the inexplicable failure of VAR Aston Villa would have found themselves in a parlous state needing to sell off all their top playing assets. Some fans find themselves enraged by the "lack of ambition" in City's stated aim to be a top 26 club; I find myself reassured by the savvy thinking that lies behind it. Yes we will need to strengthen, but only within the means that ensures the club survives to be able to retain a top 26 position should relegation happen again. There is a reason why we're probably the only team in the Championship able to hold on to proven premier league standard players, and retain the financial and footballing clout to bring in Gibson and Giannoulis on loan to buy deals.

3 pointsAs with many things in football it's a game of cat and mouse. Or double bluff. If the keeper starts moving to the right assuming Mario goes for the gap he's left, it's a goal. As it happened it was a good bluff by Stockdale and a good save of an excellent free kick.
-
3 pointsYou can still admire them for trying to play the right way; you don't have to think they're better than us to admire them. I have admiration for any club that sticks with their managers, develops talent and implements a sound and attractive footballing philosophy.
-
2 pointsHas been able to unite the North Folk , the South Folk , and Camulodunum. That’s the first time in 3000 years? We all have a common cause - we all think he is a kn0b . That’s taken some doing Paul. Try the Middle East next ?

2 pointsIndeed, yet as @Well b back noted on this thread a few times, the strain was known about in September, was increasingly apparent to be spreading in November (London) and lots in here voiced their concerns. We waited and we have seen what has happened. Again, for those who voted for this government and feel unhappy criticising I'm not making a political point for the sake of it. Merely that what was foreseen (with many warnings from scientists) was not acted upon with enough severity until the 26th. Political decisions. Also, any other administration would have made mistakes. Show me any European government that hasn't. Those mis-judgements have cost additional lives. And too many. All will be raked over later in countless enquiries/ analyses. I thank whoever it is responsible now for the greater caution. Maybe at long last something has been learnt? I believe so. And this latest government approach gets my support. ..... (For reference link here to B117... New coronavirus variant: What do we know? - BBC News) https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-55388846

2 pointsA brilliant, remarkable season...all the more impressive as there was real pressure. We have handled it and managed it supremely. Top marks for all. Parma
-
2 pointsI’d take a point now. We saw how easily Swansea swept us aside and Brentford have serious potency in attack. Given how shaky we are at the back I can’t see them scoring less than 3 so we’ll need to stop spurning chances if we’re going to scrape a point from this one.

2 pointsIt’s ok , we get flare ups of Brexvid every so often on this thread . But as long as we keep strict social distancing they do decline ...

2 pointsGood news from JVT this afternoon about real time effectiveness of both vaccines after one dose in all age groups who had received vaccination but particilarly amongst the elderly who are the largest group to be vaccinated so far. Hospitalisations in over 80 year olds dropped by 80% A gentle nudge to our European friends with data which will hopefully help to reassure them.

2 pointsWhat's the rationale behind Skipp not coming in for another year? I'd have thought he'd be better off staying here and playing every week rather than going back to Spurs to warm the bench
-

-
2 pointsSkipp as been great for us. But I think some are overestimating his worth to Spurs and his worth in the transfer market. There's no way Skipp goes back to Spurs and becomes an instant starter, not with the current options they have and not with the likelihood of them recruiting in that area. Nor can that ask for a real premium for a lad who's had one years experience in the Championship.
-
2 pointsIt depends on who it is in my book. When Trump lost the election, I was more than happy to join in the mockery, he brought it on himself. Similarly, Lambert has been a kn0b several times since he left us, and a poor football manager to boot. No-one AFAIK is threatening physical violence - sticks and stones etc.
-
2 pointsIn Farke and Webber I trust. 3 seasons in the championship, each one an improvement on the last. No reason to think anything other than another season in the PL, Farke and Webber will have learnt and be ready for the challenge ahead.

2 pointsCan I take this opportunity to publicly thank Agent Lambert for his hard work. He's put in a great shift and has earned a well deserved break.
-
2 pointsThey're an excellent side with a really good setup. I don't think there's anything wrong with having a bit of admiration for the way they're set up. I'd much rather see them go up than the clown car that is Watford.

1 pointYour partner must have it pretty easy, just give a room a tidy and you're all theirs!

1 pointIt’s a real shame the same 🔔 ends come on here trying to point score on here about deaths! Not unexpected by some of our posters standards. Covid is never a measure of how successful or unsuccessful Brexit is certainly as it has **** all to do with any response.

1 pointTo be in Munich and see Goss score. I still pinch myself. Even Mark Bowen nodding in the second was a good goal. We were all appealing for the foul on Chris Sutton for a Penalty. I'm not sure if the significance or importance can be bettered. The celebrations that night, in the Bar around the corner from our Hotel in Munich. On my train / tube journey back to Somerset, the number of passengers congratulating NCFC.

1 pointPerhaps the Myanmar Military Investment Bank might make a bid. Turn it down and they’ll round up the board and declare themselves as owners. Dissenting fans can be shot. What’s not to like?
-
1 pointYes, that was an incredible moment. The scrappiest and flukiest of goals but one of such significance. One minute our promotion charge was faltering, the next we had one foot in the Premier League. The absolute mayhem that ensued was such an incredible combination of relief and joy that it still makes my hairs stand on end just thinking about it. I doubt a single goal will ever give me quite the same feeling.

1 pointYes if we spend like Leeds. We have to believe we will do better than both the clubs going up with us. That leaves one incumbent, such as Burnley or Brighton slipping up. No point going up if you don't believe or try to stay there.

1 pointRegarding Sorensen, Farke doesn't feel he's worth starting in the Championship, yet some of you think he's going to be first name on the sheet in the Premier League? 🤷♂️
-
1 pointNot a big fan of his by any stretch but sorry to read of his passing at a relatively young age these days of such an awful condition to have lived with. Do you ever make a single post on here without it being vitriol towards other posters and staying classy on a thread such as this is beyond you ? I have no more to say.
