11 pointsWhat exactly has he done? All I’ve seen is Farke saying Cantwell had lost focus after transfer speculation. In the same interview he says Cantwell and Buendia both took part in all training sessions but weren’t fully focussed, he isn’t angry and doesn’t blame them but he’s only going to pick players who are fully focussed. If he hasn’t handed in a transfer request and hasn’t done a Tevez and gone off to play golf instead of bothering to turn up, I can’t get too wound up about a young lad losing a bit of focus when he’s got transfer speculation swirling around about him. Happens all the time at loads of clubs and with loads of players.

8 pointsUnashamed power grab from the Big 6. Bad for football. Really bad for football. Why can't they just F*** off and make a european super-league and leave everybody else to play proper football.
-
6 pointsScrew them. Let the big 6 **** off to their European superleague and leave rest of us to it. Theyll soon realise the grass isn't always greener. For me the main reason European football is so exciting is the rarity of it. If for example Chelsea v Bayern Munich became a twice a year fixture instead of once every 5 years or so it would become the equivalent of stoke v middlesborough on a cold November night very quickly.
-
6 pointsWhat are they giving away??? Correct me if I’m wrong but they are just using the payment payments of the 3 clubs that get relegated £120 million x 3 £360 million To take all power for themselves they is no way never should the football league agree to this scam...
-
4 pointsSpeaking as someone who is stuck in the middle politically this does seem like a time when a "left wing chip on the shoulder" is needed. Football is part of our heritage and it's about to be destroyed by capitalism at its very worst.

3 pointsI kind of understand that, and I am not accusing you of this Til, but from what I see there is what is bordering on hatred towards Todd from some and I really do not get it. Todd maybe needs to channel his confidence/arrogance but never lose it because it is that confidence/arrogance which was behind some of the great stuff he produced in the Prem. Yes he can be frustrating but personally I have nothing but admiration for a Norfolk lad that has made it to the Norwich first team. I do not really care what he posts on social media, it does not effect me, I do not get upset by it, I do not care how long his hair is, what colour it is, that he wears an alice band and gloves, I like the fact he has that maverick vibe about him, as long as he channels it. The lad has lost a bit of focus, so he posts to show he cares about NCFC and what happens?.........criticism, I just do not get it. I hope he comes back into the fold and flourishes with NCFC and NCFC flourish with him. The reaction to him losing a bit of focus has been way over the top, be kind to each other..........
-
3 pointsSelf interest from the Big 6 with a sweetener of payments to the EFL to help out during Covid. A power grab and nothing else.
-
3 pointsMaybe it shows he's trying to refocus. Actions speak louder than words though and I'd rather players did their talking on the pitch.
-
2 pointsYou just don’t get anything, you’re impossible! In all this I haven’t once made excuses for Cantwell, the whole point is we just don’t know so it’s foolish to assume..... and on that basis, there’s also very little to conclude. Fans don’t need to make excuses for him or conclude anything. Those that have concluded (obviously you are one of them) are doing so with very little actual evidence which is just plain foolish. All you have is Farke saying he was distracted plus a load of idiots saying he’s downed tools and has no commitment. You may call yourself a fan but you don’t seem like one!

2 pointsIm not sure it matters. Look at the ones on here who haven't liked Todd from the start. It's generally the elders. Todd has really ruffled some feathers and mostly because he proved the "lets loan him to Rotherham buh" crowd wrong last season. If Farke brings him back into the squad that's plenty good enough for me. Todd is a very good player, a local boy and worth noting we've only ever heard one side of the story. As for some posters on here complaining further that his social media doesn't "cut the mustard" for them, then I'm sorry to say but I dont think Todd is overly concerned what some bloke in Mile Cross thinks about his Instagram posts..
-
2 pointsThis isn't correct and isn't what Farke has said. It is also not what Boothroyd has said. There has been no suggestion of a lack of effort. Only that both Cantwell and Buendia have been distracted. Farke said he wished for the window to be shut, and other sources would suggest that the agents are the ones behaving poorly here and trying to turn their heads. As Farke said, they are both young, these things will and do impact upon players, not all players, but quite a lot of players. Farke is humble, he isn't stupid. He knows we need the both of them and he wont be making knee jerk reactions over them. Which is more than I can say for some fans. So just to summarise. Cantwell and Buendia have trained hard. They have been unfocused. Farke has pointed at Aarons as the model professional. Boothroyd has reiterated this and said that Cantwell can prove this by training harder. Not a question of attitude, but a question of focus.

2 pointsI don't like the Premier League and was quite happy when we got relegated
-
2 pointsWes came back from the point of no return twice throughout his time with us. He’s a legend. Give the lad a break. If he stays and performs next week at Rotherham, I’m sure all this nonsense will be forgotten. The fickle nature of football fans!

2 pointsThere are lots of good proposals there. Reducing the Premier League to 18 sides would harm yo-yo clubs and bigger second tier sides such as ourselves, but I can see why it makes sense. It would, in theory, increase competitiveness and allow for a proper winter break. Obviously, I also like the idea of distributing more money to the EFL and having a percentage of funds set aside for good causes, the FA and stadium improvements. However, it is clearly heavily weighted in favour of the big boys. Allowing them to have nearly all the voting power is clearly wrong, as is the abolition of parachute payments: it basically restricts the spending power of the chasing pack, who can't risk a financial oblivion after relegation. I'd also propose a restructuring to the EFL while we're at it. No country needs five national divisions or 24-team leagues, so I'd actually have a 20-team Championship, a 20-team League One and two 20-team League Twos divided into north and south. It would make leagues tighter and more competitive, whilst also reducing travel costs for the smaller sides. You'd probably then need to keep the League Cup for the 13 Premier League sides and the 80 EFL clubs who will see a slight reduction in league fixtures.

2 pointsNot specific to Cantwell but as soon as you describe yourself as humble you've stopped being humble.

2 pointsWhatever Todd does there will always be somebody ready to criticise him for some reason, just do not get it, so much for being kind to each other...........

1 pointAnd I see Tettey starting at centre back at any stage this season. Then that's me done with Webber and Farke. Michael Bailey seems to think that we won't be bringing anybody else in. What has his record on this stuff been like since he joined the Athletic?
-
1 pointYeah it's just disappointing when its a young player from our academy. Equally the Murphy boys took unnecessary stick from some of our fans. I dont get it.
-
1 pointThey're all just old Todds. Hence the jealousy and vitriol. Quite funny to see it all go on really.
-
1 pointBased on just as much as your Snodgrass rubbish but you have no problem posting that?
-
1 pointJust looked at a map. About 6 miles as the crow flies. A single bang (yes thought something heavy had fallen onto floor above). 2006 Market Raison quake here in Norwich was very different. Bed and house shaking (vibrations) for several seconds. I was out in the garden with flashlight pronto checking for damage. Funny story is that I have spent many months in LA and Japan over many many years and my Norfolk quake is the largest and most obvious ever experienced (having the hotel shake slightly when half drunk is unnerving all the same ... is it the alcohol or a quake or a bit of both).
-
1 pointSo to clarify, we can generalise about Todd and his 'generation', we can 'put down' his attitude...but its of course not OK in the other direction? That maybe some of our fans have and had already made a decision on Todd and needed an excuse to post their guff on here?

1 pointSome strange choices in there, and I'm in agreement that Grealish must be wondering WTF is going on after he played so well when given the chance, and gets dropped immediately in exchange for far more defensive and less technically gifted players. Maguire being selected just shows that it's also seemingly ok to start fights with police (allegedly), then attempt to bribe them (allegedly), and yet has no real impact on your club or international career (apparently). Good role model choice right there. Pickford has been poor for the past year and is on the verge of being dropped by Ancelotti, yet gets played regardless despite the performance and ability of players like Pope and D.Henderson. Will we EVER have an England manager that actually has a clue what they're doing???
-
1 pointAnd that is what I can see happening, as opposed to making the EPL or whatever it might be called a closed league, which I don't think will happen. As said, if these proposals get through the top six are all but guaranteeing a permanent place in the EPL. They don't need to actually make it a closed shop.
-
1 pointThey Arendt going to get any better I'm afraid, even though the most Dewey-eyed amongst us would admit you left it on a Plato for me. Ayer'll try and Rousseau something up.
-
1 pointI think the biggest issue with the team is that we have 3 RBs, 2 CBs, 2 DMs and no LBs. That’s an incredibly defensive unbalanced team.
-
1 pointThese “big clubs” aren’t even football clubs anymore. They are just big franchises. It’s McDonalds and KFC. This moment should be seized to take football from the big clubs, let them clear off and have their “league” and create an alternative version of the sport. Football 2

1 pointHe had bids made for him on the day of a game. That isn't his fault. It's just dirty leeds living up to their name again. If I was on the way to work and I heard that another firm wanted to Gove me a job with better prospects and double my money my mind would be elsewhere too! Cut the poor kid some slack before you drive him out of the club
-
1 pointBuendia missed one of those games too. And to be fair, we have created opening and chances - not Cantwell's fault. You can't suggest we didn't win those games because of his absence. This is just plain old scapegoating and it's pretty crappy to be honest.
-
1 pointWhy does everyone here want us to be in the Prem again? I mean, I understand the appeal of being a part of the biggest leuge and the money and all But slowly over time the Prem is proving itself to nothing more than a corrupt, elitest snobbery fest who dont give a toss about any team other than the top three
-
1 pointAn apposite example Yellow. Further, I think the stats quoted from the ONS can easily mislead when taken out of context. We need to remember that these stats have been recorded during a period of lockdown when the government through gross incompetence allowed the virus to decimate the elderly in care homes (accounting for nearly a half of all victims). Had there not been a lockdown, government advisors predicted a death toll in the general population of circa half-a-million. This no doubt would have brought down the average age of Covid-19 fatalities. But like you, I think the average age of Covid-19 victims (while medically relevant) is not the most salient statistic when it comes to political policy. Perhaps we all need to be aware when interpreting statistics that it is a potentially perilous activity in which we can fall prey to an inclination neatly encapsulated in the following quote from Andrew Lang (putatively): “He uses statistics as a drunken man uses lampposts — for support rather than for illumination.”
-
1 pointDepends who the fans are doesn’t it. Prefer to deal with the facts than take the word of the too many idiots on here that suggest he’s downed tools. In the absence of facts, he deserves the benefit of any doubt. What’s wrong with fans, why be so unnecessarily negative.
-
1 pointThis isn't about The Telegraph and pay walls! It's about the future of football in this country
-
1 pointAbout 175,000 people in the UK have a heart attack each year. The risk of having a heart attack increases as you get older, and men tend to get them at a younger age than women. The average age for a person having a first heart attack is 65 for men and 72 for women. Should we not bother to try and prevent after 65 or 72 then ?
-
1 point...he hasnt put the effort in ,in training for TWO WEEKS to have made himself selectable for 2 games....2 games where we lost and could have done with him If this was an overseas player we could partially understand it...but this is supposed to be his club, desire to play for us should never be in question...could you see Grealish acting up in this way at Villa?...even when they were in the championship? ..you say it happens all the time?....I cant recall this happening at this club very often at all. If he hasnt been putting in it in training to a standard to make himself selectable...particularly at a time when Dowell is injured and he knew how much the team needs him...then that's a f#cking disgrace in my book. ....harming his international prospects too as it hasnt been lost on Boothroyd who dropped him from U21s

1 pointUntil ordinary people wake up to the fact that most politicians seek to divide and conqueor then we are doomed to play their game of egos and posturing....and just be pawns in their power struggles. The French had it right, chop their heads off and threaten to do it again if they exceed their powers.
