3 pointsLet’s not diminish the feat of a young player taking his first steps in the first team. A great run and composed finish for the first, opportunism, precision and confidence for the second, and composure again for the penalty. Let’s give credit where it is due.

3 pointsI can’t work out if this game is a good advert for or against VAR. one of our goals would have been ruled out abs that incident just now probably would have been a penalty for PNE if VAR was being used so the technology advocates would probably use it to argue the benefits of VAR. but how nice has it been seeing the game flow, being able to celebrate goals and generally not have the whole circus that comes with it!

3 pointsWe should rip up the Championship next season on the evidence of this game. I'd take that every two years

3 pointsIntegrity, humanity, decency and that nice feeling you get when you know you've not allowed yourself to be scammed. May not win you elections but still far more important. Qualities which at least 3 people sold a long time ago.👇

3 pointsProven quality still guarantees nothing, it simply mitigates the chances more that the player may not fail to perform. Look at the likes of Shevchenko and Morata at Chelsea, great players who absolutely failed to perform anywhere near their previous 'proven' levels and simply cost Chelsea a lot of money and possible dropped points in the process. Janssen and Soldado at Spurs, Depay at Man Utd, the list goes on. People wrote Pukki off before last season as being a Celtic reject who'd never really performed anywhere outside Denmark, proving the exact opposite of simply going for 'proven' talent. When Champs level strikers such as Che Adams and Maupay are going for £15 mil or more, then 'proven' simply becomes 'expensive' and still not guaranteed anyway. I'd rather we continued down our current recruitment path than see us paying 50k+ per week in wages as well as a relatively hefty transfer for someone like Shane Long or Christian Benteke...

3 pointsWell guys, I fully respect your views, but Norwich is a premiership football club who no doubt already have held talks with all players, know who they want to keep, know their budgets and have all players tied to long term contracts, why would the sell all five unless they’re offering silly money which cannot be turned down? As said, behind Godfrey we have Bushiri and Famewo, then there’s a Idah, all three very capable of championship football, all three will no doubt develop next year. If all five go you would be talking in excess of 180 million pounds in the coffers and there certainly would be no end of youthful footballers who would jump at the chance to play for Norwich under Farke seeing how all five young players have been given the chance and flourished here. Add to that any profits will be hit with massive tax bills, I’m pretty sure it would be in Norwich’s best interest to re-invest the profit into players to build on future promotion and future players sales, into the training facilities, ground capacity increase and youth development. It’s the way you want to look at things guys, we’re talking about Webber and his team who are very good at what they do, I questioned his appointment but was totally wrong, he’s a bloody good guy to have here, I’m sure there’s plans afoot for all eventualities and to just sell and bank the money makes little sense. Have a whine on here by all means but be sensible and pragmatic about it, not just spin the constant doom about selling all our best players, they are ambitious and if the right offer comes in, good luck to them, I wish them every success, thank them for our promotion and their efforts to keep us up this year, will always keep an eye to see how they’re doing. Thats football at a club like Norwich, poor owners, great director of football and fantastic young coach in Farke.

3 pointsFor me the key thing is ... stop repeating the failed strategy of the past whilst accepting that we won't sell out to a billionaire any time soon. This means ... 1. Starting with an ethos / philosophy / style and only recruiting players and a head coach to suit that. 2. Aiming to always be greater than the sum of our parts (round pegs in round holes). 3. Never being too dependent on one player / a manager. 4. Investing in young talent and developing it at academy level and with excellent training facilities before selling them on for lucrative profit - for further investment. 5. Seeing THIS promotion as an unexpected free hit to clear the debts, tie down young talent (core assets) to good contracts, showcase this young talent and give top level experience to our head coach and players. 6. Being in a far stronger position next season to fight for promotion than following any other relegation and CRUCIALLY returning to the top tier able to spend more than this time round. Like Burnley and WBA bouncing back and forth a wee bit before sticking for a sustained spell (are there any 'established' clubs lower than Wolves/Everton?). This is long term planning to make us an established top club without the risk that foreign ownership brings. I'm fascinated to watch it pan out and glad that we have a brave and intelligent club to be proud of but ... my fear is that (knowing the Championship as we all do!) bouncing back from relegation isn't ever a doddle - however smartly you plan for it ... it's a vipers' nest! I suppose at worst we'll only end up back where we were pre Webber/Farke but in a far stronger financial position and with some fab memories. Enjoy the ride!

3 pointsI can only go on what has been said publicly, but my understanding is as follows: 1) The club continues to invest in Colney - work there is not finished - to attract talented yougsters. 2) The scouting network looks for good young British talent but also has finding young overseas players as a priority (Brexit may interfere with this). 3) Promotion to the Premier League will not spark a spending splurge on high-wage players with long and expensive contracts, so relegation will not cripple the finances as it threatened to last time. Instead the assumption is that a player or two or three will inevitably be sold, but the overall squad, bumped up with the next generation of talent, will survive, as will the style of play - arguably the main point of the sporting-director plan. 4) So there is consistency and organic growth in terms of the squad but also crucially with the finances (definitely keeping within FFP rules), giving the club the best chance of getting back to the PL, with the eventual aim that a gradual strengthening of the squad will enable it to get up and stay up. I doubt there is a specific timeframe on this. In general the plan is very different to the course pursued last time we went up and got relegated. The first part of 3) has already happened, of course, and last summer's transfer business exemplified 2).

3 pointsThere have been loads of streams posted on here this season and most of them show every game and are reliable. Why people don't bother to bookmark these is a mystery. Now look, this one has shown every game we've played, it's excellent quality picture, you don't have to jump through hoops to watch it and it's safe Bookmark it and don't ask again https://buffstream.stream/watch-soccer

2 pointsI bet you are really busy on Guy Fawjes night, running round pi$$ing on all the fireworks Lakeyo, sure it was a it OTT but not worthy of a waggy finger. Chill, there plenty of excitement on media over here about it. If no one mentioned him youd be kn here telling us we're not showing him enough appreciation. His hattrick today will have been a massive boost for him, Farke, the team and Coaching staff. College Corinthians FC, Cork will be overjoyed that an ex schoolboy player of theirs has scored a senior hattrick. And will be featured on Motd for sure .
-
2 pointsGo TVB . Oh Lakey ....... if only you were more of a positive chap ! 😉. I absolutely insist on going overboard when an 18 year old scores a superb hatrick on his full debut . If not now , then when ! 💚💛

2 pointsAnd as for Idah, I'd keep him. I'd like to think he could be an interesting weapon from the bench and even if he doesn't play much, I'm sure he'll develop and learn a lot from working with Farke and our senior players.
-
2 pointsThe youngest ever Norwich City player to score a hat-trick in a competitive game. We may just have seen a star being born.
-
2 pointsAs for a Idah, no we can’t afford to let our second best striker out on loan unless we bring in better......a Idah is a big unit with **** fast speed, he’s built for our game.....start him against Man U.
-
2 pointsHere we go again. When we fail, it’s the owners fault, when we succeed it’s despite them. They backed the manager and/or McNally with the money to buy the players to keep us in the PL. Isn’t that want you want them to do now? If they’d said “Steven Naismith? You’re having a laugh, no way can you buy him”, you’d have been complaining with the other “spend it now”ers.

2 pointsMaybe you’re right, maybe I am. But you’re predicting something in the future, something that is the opposite of what has been said by Webber and Farke who will not be surprised by our financial situation. Say Farke does leave, do you really think Webber doesn’t know exactly which candidates he would select from right now? (Hopefully not whoever is coaching the second team at Dortmund or 1) they’ll be ready for him and 2) he’ll start to look like a one trick pony). Webber has spoken about having a succession policy in place, so that implies he would have his own replacement identified too. ”we’re lucky enough to unearth an exciting young manager” - name them? Alex Neil I’ll give you, but are you saying you wanted him to stay when he finally left? He didn’t leave for greener pastures, he left because he was failing, nothing to do with money, in fact we spent more money than we ever had under him and that didn’t work well, did it? Paul Lambert? Nuff said on that one. And why would a plank have its head in the sand? I’d argue if anyone has his head somewhere it’s the one who thinks we keep unearthing exciting new managers.

2 pointsAgree entirely with King Canary's summary. I am a fan of Webber and Farke. I simply find it very frustrating that they have been thrown under the bus somewhat by the derisory spend in the summer. It was like asking someone to buy a decent and reliable family car for £300. I am not calling for either of them to go. I am asking serious questions regarding the level of ambition the board shows. Too many give them an easy pass for sentimental reasons. And I have said for some time that I think they are holding the club back these days, even though they saved us in the past. What this season has shown very clearly is that they are bygones of a different era. A board who wish to run the club on a national/local level in an era of global investment. It isn't working and, in terms of finances, we are falling down the ladder very fast. It is all well and good courting investment - but they want it without relinquishing control. And yet they cannot keep us competitive long term I fear without selling off the best talent and hoping for the best. That isn't a long term strategy to bring lasting success. Maintain it and prepare to wave goodbye to Farke, Webber, Buendia, Aarons et al... which is tragic because last summer was a perfect time to add four decent players and cement a mid table finish to cement a place in this division. Instead we are looking at relegation, sales and then a new four year plan no doubt.

1 pointIreland have been desperately waiting for a genuine top class talent to emerge to replace Robbie Keane. Millions of people all over the world with Irish heritage follow the Ireland team. Idah is what they've been waiting for. As good as Max Aarons and Ben Godfrey are, the former in particular is handicapped by an abundance of fantastic young England right backs coming through at the same time. Adam Idah can be 'the main man' for Ireland, what a find! No point in loaning this fella to Doncaster, he should stay and get the minutes that Srbeny would have got unless we are in the market for a striker. We haven't had an attacking talent like this since Bellamy, forget loaning him out just let the young canary fly!

1 pointI started smiling as I read it, but actually it’s profoundly depressing. If you suspend the automatic dislike for the club, the picture presented is of a once-loved and once-important community asset allowed to wither and die, as the supporters’ feelings for the club do the same. Makes you even more glad about the way our club is run eh? 😉
-
1 pointI'm done with the club now in its current state. Devoid of any enjoyment. Rather watch amateur football, it's honestly not that different in standard and is top value. Love it. They actually seem to aware of the reality.

1 pointJust a heads up as normally there wouldn't be a stream available for a cup game but this has been picked up by multiple TV stations internationally so there will definitely be streams available tomorrow.
-
1 pointPlayers like Buendia and Pukki have done alright. I really don't see how birthplace has much of an effect.
-
1 pointAt some point, the bubble will burst and a couple of major clubs will go under. That will then likely spark a major movement on how clubs are run. I think at that point, we will see a re-balance of competitiveness. Clubs like ours will benefit more than most.
-
1 pointToo much concentration on transfer fees I feel. Wages - & the impact that a new player coming in on huge money would have on the rest - are far more significant, especially over the length of a contract: https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/every-premier-league-clubs-average-20916779 19. Norwich City - £12,000 11.Southampton - £50,000

1 pointI don't mean to be rude, but do you actually follow what goes on at Norwich City? In the summer we made a massive investment in our squad. We did it by signing all or our top players up to new long term contracts. When you're talking about very highly rated young players on Premier League wages you're talking about an awful lot of money. You're also talking about an awful lot of money when you're talking about established older players as well.
