5 pointsA few weeks ago there seemed to be endless posts on here moaning and whinging about a supposed lack of a 'Plan B', irrespective of the fact that we had so many injuries that just getting 11 fit players out on the pitch was a real struggle. Now that the injury crisis has mercifully eased Daniel Farke has given another demonstration of just what an excellent coach and tactician he is. Now of course, finally having two fit central defenders has been a huge help, but it's in the midfield positions that Plan B has been implemented. Farke has gone for extra defensive steel and nous in the form of Trybull, Tettey and Amadou. If someone had told us at the beginning of the season that the creative talents of Buendia, Vrancic, Stiepermann and Leitner would all be fit and available, but none of them would be making the starting 11 I think a lot of people would have been up in arms in complaint. Similarly, very few people have been advocating that McLean be played in the Number 10 role, but Farke has played him there and he has been superb there in the last two games. Plan A is dead! Long live Plan B!!

4 pointsVAR, balls on the pitch, MOTD, pundits etc etc. The list is almost endless. Christ, we've just got 4 points from 2 games, scored 4 goals, had a clean sheet, achieved our first away win and outplayed the Gunners in what was undoubtably a great game of football. All we've had since Sunday afternoon is endless moaning about how hard done by we are by VAR, how we don't get enough credit on TV and even something as trivial as the bloody ball not being given back at the right time. All of which was either marginal, of no importance or totally insignificant and yet we have 200+ posts in those threads. Meanwhile there's virtually nothing about our fantastic team performance and some great individual performances on Sunday afternoon. What's wrong with you?

3 pointsIt's more of a demographic shift as opposed to changing of minds. Youngsters coming onto the electoral roll are massively if favour of remain. Oldsters slipping off their perches were massively in favour of Leave. One of the reasons the Brexiteers are in a hurry and don't want to risk another vote.
-
3 pointsAre you asking someone to confirm that Norwich City are English Premier League strugglers ? 🙄
-
2 pointsThat is what is wrong with the argument though. If you are a commercial media outlet reliant on advertising then I see your point. But a national broadcaster should not be following that incentive, it should be presenting a balanced view of all national events, without bias - political or commercial.
-
2 pointsAgreed. That's why I get angry about the smear tactics used on him by lesser folk. He is honest - too honest - hence he can never answer a simple yes or no with the clarity required - and hence has never learnt the art of being a politician or making difficult decisions & finds excuses for 'bad' peoples behaviour. He's just an idealistic protestor. Always has been and sadly I suspect always will be . A missed opportunity. Contrast with Blair (yes I know the Momentum lot can't stand Blair) but he did WIN three consecutive elections and implemented quite a lot of Labour policy at the time. Sure it went wrong in Iraq but it went right in Kosovo and Sierra Leone. 9/11 & Afghanistan was an issue nobody could dodge.

2 pointsYeah, they should have gone for a fat, lying, deceitful sack of crap. The great British public seem to prefer that. 😩😀

2 pointsLightweight maybe, but lazy? He's worked extremely hard in all of his appearances this season with regard to pressing and tracking back.

2 pointsThe irony if Trump opens his gob, puts his size 15 in it and BJ slips below the 6% line. He won’t be able to resist saying something.
-
2 pointsYes, apart from the ladies underwear pages that mysteriously disappeared after Benny Till came round for a cuppa. 😋

2 pointsThis is a fake account - the Guardian has ALREADY forced it be removed "Pretending to be Guardian columnist" It is however clearly targeted at those too dumb to realize (the lowest decile) who simply lap it unquestionably up and copy. The real question is as to your motives in looking up up this deceitful rubbish in the first place! If you are going to be voice for this kind of fake news it really is time you departed this site.

1 point.....but it never ceases to amaze how the football machine is so anti the lower clubs. The VAR decision on Aarons was laughable, he hadn't even got his right foot down in the penalty area when the ball was kicked. Would that have happened if it had been the other way round....no. Then on MOTD 8 minutes of dissecting how bad Arsenal were then less than 2 minutes of minutes of talk about Norwich in a match that on balance we were the better team. That's life as a smaller club, bias bias, bias towards the big clubs. Stinks.

1 pointI'm Norwich South but same as you I'm not a Corbyn Labour fan. That said I don't want the Tories in by accident. Quite why some on here seem to think that anybody who doesn't believe in Brexit must be a Corbynista is beyond me. Tactical voting.

1 pointComedy Gold is RTB. Some mothers do have them! Its not even difficult to look up !

1 pointTitania McGrath = Shaniqua O'Toole = Andrew Doyle = Ex-Writer for Jonathon Pie = Bleh!
-
1 pointMore Leftist lunacy: WOKE WORLD By Titania McGrath I do try to be supportive of the working classes, but when it comes to politics they really should just leave it to their betters. After all, we know that democracy doesn’t work if people vote the wrong way. And the problem with these working-class types is that there are just so many of them. You would have thought with their lack of hygiene and poor comprehension skills they would have died out by now. Many of them seem determined to support parties that will implement the result of the Brexit referendum, which is plainly absurd. For a start, the population clearly didn’t know what they were voting for. When they said they wanted to leave the EU, they didn’t necessarily think that meant leaving the EU. Try asking any Brexit supporter why they voted Leave. The answer is always the same: “A bus told me to.” Such are the dire consequences of universal suffrage. Everyone mocked Anna Soubry when she tweeted that Brexit is “the most important decision facing our country since WW3”, but I have no doubt whatsoever that Brexit could lead to a fourth world war. They won’t be laughing then. And now with a general election looming we might well be facing a similar catastrophe. Apparently, due to our archaic “first past the post” system, there is a risk that if Boris Johnson receives the most votes he might actually win. This is unacceptable. This is why I applaud Jeremy Corbyn’s suggestion that we lower the voting age to 16. I would take this a step further and suggest that only the under 12s should be allowed to vote. As Whitney Houston said, “The children are our future.” And we can always threaten to take away their smartphones if they don’t vote Labour. Or how about this for a solution? Let’s allow everybody to vote in the general election, but make it illegal to opt for the Tories or the Brexit Party. That way, we can stop a fascist party from getting elected, but we still have democracy. It’s a win-win.

1 pointFor once. Considering it was off script and one of his classic brainfarts I think it is closer to the truth than what his masters wanted us to hear.

1 pointIt's lucky they didn't have VAR as I think the Goalie may have been slightly off his line for that last one.
-
1 pointFingers crossed I can refer to this post in my match report in a "kudos to wcorkcanary" way !
-
1 pointPlay them both once we're two nil up against Leicester. Could be a useful combo to see any game out.
-
1 pointThe issue though is that nearly all pensioners vote - youngsters not so much and also less stable as to location. That said - all the polls try to take these effects into accounts and modify their raw data accordingly - and that's why an unexpected 'Youth Quake' could easily make mockery of existing predictions. The polls are just polls and are best read as trends.

1 pointClearly not dying quick enough, a good dose of Norwalk should do the trick

1 pointI always thought 'Brexit' was the right answer but to a different question. If the question was do you wish to go back to a rose tinted 1970's view of the world and the UK's place within it, reopen the coal mines, steel works and heavy industry (what's a PC?) and jobs for life at Norwich Union then vote Brexit. If the question was however do you wish to be a 'Leader of the Pack' in the 21st century modern integrated world then it has to be Remain. That's why 'age' is one of the strongest indicators of Brexit views.

1 pointIt occurred to me yesterday just how much Farke has confounded us with the way that individual players have consistently defied expectations and stepped up to new levels. Obviously some players just weren't going to cut it - Franke, Husband and Watkins spring to mind - but so many other players have started poorly, looked out of their depth, and then gone on to play a vital role. Vrancic, Stiepermann, McLean, Srbeny, Cantwell, Tettey... all players whose place in the team (or even the squad) has been questioned, and they've all come through to make important contributions. I'm not saying that none of the criticism was justified at the time - I for one was constantly beseeching Farke to drop the useless Vrancic from our midfield in the first half of the 2017/8 season, for example. But what I've really noticed is how we keep adjusting and stepping up as a squad. We're incredibly lucky to have Daniel at the helm, and now we've got through the worst of our injury problems (touch wood!) we look set to have a real tilt at staying in this league against the odds.

1 pointThe problem with that is that Leavers see it for what it is. An attempt to overturn their vote.
-
1 pointWould we be able to do this as Newcastle have with St James Park? Both of their large stands (or stand) is built over a road as ours may have to be?
-
1 pointI think it is still a fairly small % of the overall number to be honest. I believe Dyche and Howe have both been in post for 5 years (or at least very close to) but not all of those were in the top flight.

-
1 pointMe neither, but at least we can understand why the media talk more about them than us.
-
1 pointAnd an awful lot of people in Africa and Asia give a toss about Arsenal. How anyone can try to argue that as many people nationally/internationally care about Norwich as Arsenal and we should receive equal coverage is beyond me.
-
1 pointHas RTB gone to ground again after yesterday's epic fail? It's becoming quite the pattern these days... 🤭🤣 Apples

1 pointAmazon Prime is yet another method to convert us all into the Amazon Borg. If they want us to buy everything via them, the least they could do is pay a fair level of tax. Having said that, I'll still be using my son's Prime account to watch the match. 😳
-
1 pointHughton would probably do okay, he has a good track record in his first 18 months with clubs.
-
1 pointIt's all pointless, the Suffolk Socialists have ordered the coach and the squad to not have a cup run as the boy Vince keeps telling us but NONE OF YOU EVER LISTEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😡
-
1 pointDon't know why people bother to watch the highlights particularly when they know what is, and is not, going to be said. Just watch the game and make your own mind about what you see and be happy with that. You don't need overpaid pundits to tell you about it.
-
1 pointThe BBC though shouldn’t care about how many Arsenal supporters there are v Norwich supporters. They should instead be providing a balanced view and analysis of what happened in the game. Like how good the Arsenal keeper was for example, how well Arsenal pressed Norwich at the beginning of each half, and how Norwich exploited the Arsenal defensive weaknesses and turned the screw in the latter stages of the game. In the US all I heard was Arsenal’s problem is they don’t have a settled center back pair and it’s tough to build anything without that - well duh, what do you think we have experienced so far this season then? Of course that fact was not mentioned at all, just that we had not spent as much money as Villa and Sheff U.
-
1 pointLet's be honest, Joe Public is more interested in Arsenal than Norwich, so it's only natural that the national media talks more about the bigger clubs than the smaller ones. If you want a Norwich-centred report then you need to read the local stuff.
-
1 pointFootball is not for tourists. Either you want Norwich to win or you don't. If you don"t want Norwich to win fine, but don't pretend that you do.
-
1 pointThey want to, but first they have to get a removal order....................... there's a dishevelled old bloke who hides in there with a long lens camera trying to get photos of the player's wives and girlfriends ...... (allegedly).

1 pointI hate this attitude. Neil is, in general, a very good interviewer and he's never gone easy on any politician as far as I can see. Some people are capable of putting their personal politics to one side and doing their job as professionals.
