I am not trying to defend them, and some are clearly WUMs, the board will always be busier following a defeat because there's more to debate and a greater difference of opinion. When we win well then all there really is to do is to fawn and say well done, if people try to be critical (in the original sense) then they get shouted down for not enjoying the victory.

We've just won our first game in over two months and have the second-worst defensive record in the league. Saturday could mark the beginning of a turn around in form but let's not pretend there aren't areas of the squad to be looked at if we're serious about staying up.

Still failed to explain how your maths takes 43+4 and makes it to be over 50 Swindo. Why is it you are choosing to ignore posts on this and not enlighten us with your maths wizadry? That is near enough for the Tories

Criticism is an appraisal, positive or negative. For footballers, one mistake can invite unbelievable vitriol. All their good work can be ignored by some because of one slip, one bad pass, one lapse in concentration. Sure they get well paid, but rumours and gossip " grow legs" and can affect the player, they are human after all. Some can deal with it ,some can't. The Man that never made a mistake, never made anything. ,....that's my message to Emi. Todd meanwhile has almost certainly caught the eye of Clubs that look for something different, something unusual, something special.

Thank -You for asking Foreign affairs EU membership limits Britain’s international influence. Sovereignty Britain would have more control of its laws and regulations. Security Britain’s domestic security could benefit from full border controls. Money Britain contributes billions of pounds in membership fees to the EU every year. Trade Membership of the EU keeps Britain from fully capitalising on trade with other major economies such as Japan, India and the US. Business The EU subjects Britain to slow and inflexible bureaucracy, making it more prohibitive for smaller companies to do business. Jobs Improved global trade agreements and more selective immigration could have a positive effect on the British job market. Consumer goods The average person in Britain loses hundreds of pounds each year due to EU VAT contributions and agricultural subsidies policies.

An interesting quiz for you all to have a go at, from the Daily Mash. 👍😂 Quiz: Can you tell which of these statements is a Tory lie? THE Tories appear to have dispensed with telling the truth, so can you distinguish their lies from fact? Take our fun quiz and rate the following statements true or false. 1. Jeremy Corbyn has 20 mice living in his beard. Worse, he has named them after his terrorist buddies, eg. ‘Osama’, ‘Gerry’ and ‘Palestine Liberation Organisation’, which is admittedly a strange name for a mouse. 2. Tory party chairman James Cleverly is so named because he is incredibly clever and not a complete idiot as he appears. He is so clever he regularly beats chess grandmasters and has invented an anti-gravity drive. 3. The Conservatives have built 2,500 new hospitals which can reverse the ageing process and make you 20 again if you are a retired older person. Sadly none of them will be open until 13 December 2019 so you can't book in right now. 4. If Labour get in their first act will be to put the SNP in charge and call the country ‘Greater Caledonia’. Do you want porridge on your chips? NO THANKS, JOCK! 5. Boris’s Brexit deal is so good that Germany and France are also planning to leave the EU. In fact the entire continent is grateful to us for their first glimpse of freedom since 1945. The deal, incidentally, will boost UK GDP by a remarkable £690 billion a day. 6. The Conservatives are the only party that will stop the BBC banning Dad’s Army because millennial snowflakes cry when they see a gun. How did you do? The correct answers are: 1-6: All Tory lies. However Tory voters won’t give a sh*t because most of them would be happy to believe the sky is green and the grass is blue if it means 'getting Brexit done'.

Spot on mate, amazing how all the "idiots" never feature when we win, you would hope the board would be busier after a great victory. I suppose the problem is that many of the scapegoats (potential or otherwise) played well, e.g. Krul, Kenny and Todd no thecwind up merchants have nothing to moan about.
  12. 2 points
And just to elaborate, I have no issue with criticism but I do have a problem with, for example, four or five posters on here who sarcastically claim he's only in the team because he's from Dereham etc etc. He's in the team on merit as are all our players.
  13. 2 points
Gosh. Modesty aside I have to say that was a very fair rhetorical question. The mid- and long-term damage to the economy by even the least harmful sort of Brexit that Johnson (if he wins) will end up producing will make a mockery of his election lies...sorry, his promises. As to the most harmful, the distinct possibility of the UK crashing out without a deal at the end of 2020, I would say look for a lifeboat, but there won't be nearly enough to go around...

So I just received an anonymous donation of £35.49 to our pot from one of our PUPs. Fantastic gesture thank you. Swindon added £3.40 with Norwich scoring first so we have another £39 in our presentation pot taking us up to £1,965. Here are the latest totals : - I've been talking to the wonderful CSF Emma about including the next presentation in the funds where our club has pledged to match so that the CSF end up with double what us PUPs end up presenting.

I think Cantwell has received more criticism than warrented in the last 6-7 months and that's the point here. You see it as "gushing adulation with no hint of criticism" so I don't think you'll ever agree with those with the opposite view.

Pete you are comedy gold and well worth a nibble. Bravo for getting our attention again. Of course you are either clueless , a binner, or you just enjoy the sport. So here goes. Our academy hasn't produced another Murphy . So it has failed? You really think that's how the modern academy works? We get lads from Bressingham Under 8's and turn them into prem players? Here is how it actually works. Players like Aarons , Lewis , Idah and Adshead sign for the Club, because of the academy. You think that Dan Adshead , a talented under 17 playing for Rochdale and England, with major Clubs sniffing around him , chose Norwich because … well why Pete? Because he was going to break into the first team this year? No it was because of the Academy, Pete. Why did Aarons and Lewis join us from Luton? See above. Adam Idah was never on the Murphy's "conveyor belt" Pete. He joined in 2017 as an academy scholar from Corinthians. Why? Because he thought Norfolk was a nice place to live? No. It was because the Academy , with it's Cat1 , attracts players of his calibre. They join us because of the Academy Pete. BECAUSE OF THE ACADEMY . The Academy does not only pick up 8 year olds and make them into first team players. Oh and we pay them a few quid too. Have a nice evening mate. I enjoy taking the bait.

Labour antisemitism: Corbyn not fit for high office, says Ephraim Mirvis ‘New poison’ in the party has been ‘sanctioned from the top’ new Henry Zeffman, Political Correspondent November 25 2019, 10:00pm, The Times Jeremy Corbyn and Ephraim Mirvis at the Remembrance Sunday ceremony in Whitehall. The Chief Rabbi says that the Labour leader’s claim to have dealt with all allegations of antisemitism is “a mendacious fiction”PAUL MARRIOTT/ALAMY Jeremy Corbyn’s handling of antisemitism allegations makes him “unfit for high office”, the Chief Rabbi has said while warning that the “very soul of our nation is at stake” in next month’s general election. In an unprecedented intervention into politics, which he describes as “amongst the most painful moments” of his career, Ephraim Mirvis says that “a new poison” has taken hold in Labour “sanctioned from the very top”. In an article for The Times today, the Chief Rabbi says that the Labour leader’s claim to have dealt with all allegations of antisemitism is “a mendacious fiction” and the way that the party has handled the claims is “incompatible with the British values of which we are so proud”.

I was one of those who wanted him loaned out at the start of the season. He looked at times a decent Championship level player but was inconsistent and lacked composure in front of goal. He looks like a completely different player this year though, absolute quality and more than worthy of Wes' no 14 shirt. I'm not that clued up ion coaching or player development etc. How can a player improve so drastically over just a summer? it's a credit to him but how has a player gone from decent-ish at Championship level to a PL standout in that sort amount of time? Fair play to him, deserves every bit of success he gets.

A box to box midfielder with physicality in the Leroy Fer mould. Obviously with a better work rate if possible. That would make such a difference for us. Any player like that is usually highly sought after so finding one good enough within our price range would be difficult but we pay Stuart Webber and his team good money for a reason. Looking at our squad a player like that is what we're missing imo. If we're still struggling with injuries a CB on loan would be nice to have as well.

Eh?? Cantwell doesn't play in the 10! He plays on the right hand side, like Emi does. I get the point, but the reason Farke plays Stiepi or McLean in the 10 is for their height, to win headers when needed (see our first goal on Sat) and their ability to stop counter attacks from higher up the pitch etc.

🤪😀 👇 Labour’s Shadow Housing Minister, Sarah Jones, had a shocker on Politics Live this lunchtime with her repeatedly failing to say where the £58 billion Labour has suddenly promised to WASPI pensioners would come from, or why it wasn’t in the manifesto which was published just a few days before this new spending commitment. Makes even more of a joke of McDonnell’s ‘Grey Book‘… 🤥 People: Sarah Jones November 25, 2019 at 1:01 pm

Yes I should proberbly say this doesn't mean any valid criticism isn't warrented. Just like anyone else he isn't immune from that and I wouldn't expect him to be. But as you have already mentioned when those feel the need to dismiss his physicality and glove wearing (who cares!) It's a bit petty. On the subject of physicallity I'd like to see some of them on the receiving end of the tackle Cantwell put on Schneiderlin - they'd still be on the floor. 😉

I can see both sides of this. There are a fair few on this forum who seem to view any critique of a Norwich player as heresy and shout SCAPEGOAT at the slightest suggestion a player maybe isn't that great. On the other hand, Cantwell comes in for more than his fair share of stick, generally from some of our 'older' fans. I genuinely think he'd get less if he didn't have floppy hair, alice bands, gloves, and a baby face. I feel like these elements allow some of our fans to dismiss him as lightweight and reminisce about how football ins 70's was played by real men's men.

That will require the recruiting and training of 6,000 more general practitioners and 6,000 more primary care doctors and retaining all current GPs. There is no chance whatever that will happen .
  39. 1 point
The trick is, you have to vote in a Boris government first, and the policies then get implemented. The new funding will mean an extra 50,000,000 GP appointments per year

Even though TvB has blocked me for pointing out the inacurracies in a couple of his posts and refusing to back down( naughty me, daring to challenge his authority), I'm gonna reply anyway. He may not see it unless he has a peek or someone quotes me , then it may slip through. From everything stated by Webber etc. I really can't see us spending much at all, which is ok by me as I've bought into the plan as it is at the moment. Saturday showed what we can do, we just need to be a little more consistent , which with Zimbo back and the two sheilding mids in front of back four, should be easier to achieve. The position that we need cover at is of course centre half, which may be a target, all other positions seem to be covered or have someone who can do a job there. Now, having said that if the right player at whatever position is available then we may go for them, the plan is long term I believe and that will require patience, not kneejerk panic buys. Difficult for some to stomach I know ,but the club will almost certainly stick to the plan , because it is the plan , simple as that. I agree with RTB ( on football matters) Herman and CD. Things may change of course if we have serious injuries somewhere but centre half is really the position that needs cover. I have no idea who may be targeted,if anyone as my knowledge of players is minimal, my interest and knowledge is more in the positional and tactical areas as youth development has been my passion for the last twelve years or so, now retired. The whole team development is what I find interesting, assembling an off the peg team, I'll leave to Jose Moaninho and other market experts. PS, thought Sheffield United were fantastic yesterday, no I don't wish we were them, but by God they gave man u a rattle.

Lakey, normally I agree with 80% of what you say, however I can’t agree with this comment. Simply stating that someone is old, which in today’s world, 78 is considered ‘old’ with regards the succession plan of NCFC, does not qualify as ageism.

Todd had a pretty good game and took his goal very well, but the fact that Shearer said it is making me think maybe I'm wrong and that Todd had a terrible game; that is how much I don't trust Shearer's opinion. Also, didn't Todd go off with a knock? He deserves another start after that performance, but might not be in his hands if he's injured, in which case, I want Emi back in straight away. I think being dropped for one match is more than enough motivation to enable better performances from him. I saw that hunger back in his defensive work during that 15 minute cameo yesterday.

The guy on the left of Kevin is Chris O Dywer, and his mate on his left, whos name I cant remember. On Kevins right is Ginger, dont know his proper name though. Chris and his mate both used to drink in the Tramways in Lowestoft. When i first saw this last week was trying to remember the match, was approx when Justin Fashanu started playing for the first team, late 1979, early 1980.I would have been at the game with these guys though have never seen this picture until last week, dont know were i was when the photo was taken though.

Rocky Bushiri is 19. He was part of Belgium's U21 side that beat Germany last week and top their group. We gave him a four year contract. Don't be too keen to write him off based on league appearances for Blackpool.

Perhaps "endangered species" would be an appropriate way to describe them in relation to club ownership, when it applies to Premier League existence. Not brought about by global warming this time though, more the increasing heat of the Premier League. Let's hope then that the "can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen" maxim doesn't apply to the current mentality of our current majority shareholders. Didn't Delia say in her newspaper interview (Daily Telegraph?) words to the effect that it was to be "Tom, like it or lump it?"

Moritz has always struck me as 'potentially a bit stroppy'. Same with Trybull, perhaps Emi too. If true, then he's shot himself in the foot - ask Nelson how criticising Farke worked out for him. Mind you, it's a rumour, so it's quite likely to be rubbish so don't worry about it. I'm not going to.
