I do think some people don't remember just how bad it can be: the end of the Worthington period and the dreadful football that brought (singularly the worst game of football i have ever paid to watch when we lost 0-1 to Sheff Wednesday), Peter the Pointer playing it long to the shortest man in the league, Roeder selling everyone and replacing them with dreadful loan players. This is a really good period of football for us, we are having a rough time but we have a young team playing passing / attacking football. Be really careful what you wish for because I remember how bad it can be!

Trust me, it'll be a selection of our fans - the same one's that are all over this board like a rash when we lose, then disappear with victory. On a side-note i'm not sure footballers being on social media is a great thing. Private accounts to enjoy with their actual mates is great, but supposed 'fans' sending abuse every 10 seconds alongside our errm, older fanbase in particular wading through to find their partners instagram and plastering pictures all over the forum etc - none of that sounds ideal.

For Jools, before Representative Nunes comes out with his latest conspiracy theory laden opening statement. Ambassador Sondland has also “clarified” his earlier testimony, In his opening statement - submitted in writing before the latest round of public testimony starts. He says that “everyone was in the loop” and there was indeed a quid pro quo, the President of Ukraine knew what he must do to get the military aid released, and all of the US administrations senior cabinet ministers - including the Vice President - were at least aware (and maybe actively involved) with that. And he has e-mails to prove it all. So, not that modern Republicans would ever do anything right for the country anyway, but this guarantees President Trump will now be impeached on a strict party-line vote, and not be convicted in the Senate. Why? The answer is the scandal is revealing that the entire administration and the leadership of the Republican Party is rotten to the core, and is OK with actively sabotaging free elections in the US. if Trump goes down they all go down, and the next in line to be President is the Speaker if the House: Democrat Nancy Pelosi. So obviously compromised by the almighty $ - including but not limited to Russian provided - Saudi or Turkish or domestic monies are OK too - they will either be wiped out at the next election or find a way to hold onto power and then may God help us all. Fascism is very, very close to winning out here in USA. The people of the USA can save themselves but only if our elections are free and fair for all.

Very true, but the Labour leadership was very clear that the Boris 'deal' was so bad that all Labour MPs were expected and told to vote against. They didn't, there was no sanction and although some are retiring I think quite a few are Labour candidates in the coming election and still presumably intending to back the Tory hard Brexit, or maybe even no deal. You say Boris collapsed Parliament but ultimately and bizarrely it was Labour that allowed an election to happen and one they are going to lose - they repeatedly said they were going to take no deal off the table and would oppose a hard Brexit and as part of the 'rebel alliance' were in a position to do just that. But they've done nothing of the sort - they've achieved, at best, a very short delay and then given Boris the election which is going to allow him to implement whatever mad Brexit he chooses. Its a complete mystery to me whether the Labour leadership is delusional enough to think they are going to come out of this election with a majority or whether they are so strategically inept they simply let Boris take them to a position where they felt they couldn't say no any longer. But I guess it doesn't really matter now anyway.

There is some justification for criticism, as with any player - and the Watford error was a bad error - but I agree that the facebook groups, which seem to allow all sorts of abuse on them, do attract brainless numpties which spoil them for the rest of us. As for twitter, it just lends itself to allowing the worst elements of society a voice.

I was just reading the piece about Emi on the front page of this website and read this: "At 22 years old he needs to be in an environment where he knows he won't be vilified for every error despite the best efforts of a small section of fans, which saw the player reportedly delete his social media accounts this week." I mean... come on! Our own 'fans' trolling him online? What the fcuk is wrong with some people??! I hate to say it but there really are some thickos who support this club. I got ya back, Emi.

I've heard that as well although it sounds a rather bizarre rule, and they've certainly managed not to stand candidates in Northern Irish constitutencies where in the past they've encouraged their members to vote for the SDLP. So....................... Anyway I'm pretty sure that they also have mechanisms for changing their rules if they want to, plus they definitely have ways of disregarding their rules when they choose to!

I think I've come to the conclusion in this crazy election where both Johnson and Corbyn are beyond the pale that 'Remainers' in ALL constituencies should simply vote whatever their natural allegiance for either the LibDems or Labour - whoever is in the best position to win. A hung parliament will ensue for certain (and no extremes possible) and once a 2nd ref is done and dusted a proper GE can follow.

I didn't watch the debate last night, for the same reason I no longer watch Question Time. One knows in advance who will say what and why. There is very little originality and a lot of scripting going on. On QT the only interesting part is the non-politician spot, where whoever occupies that spot usually has something fresh or unexpected to say.

I would rather have watched Ipswich beating Rochdale than watch last night's debate or any other for that matter. Typically the Mail/Express said Johnson won hands down which is a stupid thing to say to his own supporters. I am not sure that the other tabloids went overboard or mentioned it on the front. From what I understand the constant Corbyn refusal to answer Johnson's goading about Brexit was an example of the pathetic way politicians go over and over the same point. I can understand the meaning of Labour's policy. They don't need to be asked how they will canvass or recommend to the electorate. The facts will be presented, not opinions, and people can make up their own minds without persuasion from politicians. What would be point? Johnson keeps maintaining the silly notion that he has a better deal than May when he hasn't and no amount of questioning or ridicule will get him to say anything else. Farage is even telling him it is worse than May's deal. And anyone who has voted for the last thirty years will know which way they vote and what leaning they have. So it is down to policies. Johnson tells us we must get Brexit done (endlessly) so his Government can carry out its duties. So letss hear some policies that are not just ones that make up for the cuts since 2010.

Madness. According to reporting the players had grown sick of Pochettino for his overly aloof and disciplinarian attitude. How you rectify that with Mourinho is beyond me.

An interesting marriage of a coach who always seems to win trophies by any means necessary and a club who just can't seem to win them no matter what they do. Something's got to give.

Yep, ‘social’ media – a self-sustaining social disaster, but so hard to know how to resist this kind of damage to decent folk’s lives. Engage with these people and that just throws petrol on their little fire – ignore them and they just up the ante with their sense of entitlement as they somehow think the lack of resistance is tantamount to approval. So all the grown-ups can do is trust in the club’s people management skills to keep Emi and other victims feeling the love.

I don't know, BP. I have seen some ridiculous comments from our own supporters with regards to different players and Emi got crucifed on FB groups by some because of his mistake vs Watford. They also tend to moan about him losing the ball and then flapping about and complaining rather than getting up and chasing back. He's a young lad and I think some have short memories. He was fantastic for us last season, started off well this and I'm sure things will get better once confidence is back.

Prior to the Watford game Webber and later on Farke disclosed the club have no ambition to succeed in the PL and 20th place will be acceptable, we are going to try to get there pretty much on course. This coming so soon following last seasons tremendous achievement playing so well and scoring a hatful of goals came as something of a kick in the teeth. We knew money was tight and few additions were expected but we did expect a solid season with the retention of last seasons heroes the first two home displays gave hope we could survive. But no ambition has been confirmed and the owners readily agree to the plans of Webber. I would suggest that the statement regarding the clubs admission of not having any ambition to succeed after getting to the PL is seriously wrong and may have its ramifications throughout the club. The fans the most important people in any club are entitled to be angry and disappointed that Norwich City see getting to the PL as the optimum level of achievement. Some will be perfectly happy and their ambitions are similarly restricted. Others will feel their hopes and dreams go further than taking the PL riches for one season at a time. They have been majorly let down and might question why support such a club. The current players are likely to be unhappy with one season. Relegation will likely see clauses limiting their salaries upon a return to the Championship. Some will move on at the end of the season we all know who the likely lads who fall into this category. Those that remain will be asking themselves why did they join City I am sure they were unaware of the clubs limited hopes. With a complete lack of confidence in themselves and the club there seems little to look forward to. Recruits we will need to fill the gaps left by departees are unlikely to be influenced by a club without ambition why should they bother to join City on its shoestring salaries when there are more promising opportunities out there. The defence is probably looking at 4 recruits and I suggest we may need players of greater experience to stem the flow of conceded goals. With no ambition to better themselves will not be attractive to our management team. This seasons performances will not enhance the careers of Farke or Webber who although resigned to the clubs ambitions cannot be happy following their success last season. Surprised the bought into this. A poor start next season will inevitably see the knives come out for Farke and Webber will get under similar pressure and it will be extremely difficult to make a promotion push with the stars missing. The effect on finances will be most felt by the ownership. Dafabet came on board with the promise of PL exposure with the biggest sponsorship deal in clubs history you can bet relegation will impact finance. The Pl money from this season and the income from selling our stars will mot last forever and 3 seasons in the Championship will exhaust the windfall perhaps even sooner and then back to square one. The City of Norwich were delighted to see a PL season with the revenue it offers. Relegation will be met with disappointment. Relegation I hear you cry City have not been relegated but to be bottom of the league with one point in last eight games conceding over 2 goals is not good news. The club have told you they certainly don't expect to survive you shouldn't either.

You quite like the idea of Tom Smith taking control of the club. I really fear that idea and think it would be a disaster. Could go round in circles on this one couldn't we Corky.... because you could say "you have no idea if it would be a disaster or not", and I could then say "yeah but you have no idea if it would be a success or not". And we'd both waste loads of time that we could have spent watching a film or reading a chapter of a good book, so lets not bother.

But this is the point. Is it fair on Foulger for the value of his shares to be waived. You would have a different view if it happened Jimbo. That's why you're my favourite poster. You moan about the owners, the board, management, players, academy and fans. Yet you choose to support the club. I bet you go round ASDA putting stuff you don't like in your trolley too...

It isn't ageism to accept mortality as a fact of life and I'm certainly not questioning Delia's energy, which she seems to still have in abundance. And I'm not putting a specific timeframe on this. As it happens I wasn't thinking about death in office, although leaving the club in a will would be one way of passing ownership. I think what I'm essentially asking is whether people think that Delia & Hubby will: a). Decide an appropriate point to sell their entire stake. or.. b). Decide a point at which to reduce their shareholding and become minority shareholders? or.. c). Pass their stake on to a member of their family. I'm not necessarily talking about them just pegging it, although that is an unfortunate inevitability for all of us and I suspect most 78 year olds will think about that now and again. The future of our club depends on them making the right decision, I like them both as people and believe that they genuinely care about this club, it is probably something which they do think about.
