Nice work Administrators, what was contained in one thread and easily ignored or engaged in is now spread all over the board. Would you say that deleting the long running Brexit thread has achieved whatever you though it would?

"Are these the guys who will be taking the streets if we don't Brexit?!" Are they all getting let out for the day? Apples

It's never going to happen and there will be a second referendum. Jools, RTB, etc. You should all understand that word as it basically has 'dumb' written at the end of it. When it doesn't happen, I hope we can ship you guys off on to Daily Mail island, where you'll likely read a piece on paedophiles, get confused and end up posting sh1t through your own letterbox. Ta ta!

This is a poor analogy - to cause Japanese Knotweed to be spread is unlawful, and nobody has done anything unlawful around Brexit...oh hang on a moment...

I've not been on here since Thursday...are we now having to resort to guerilla Brexit threads? šŸ˜‚ Apples

Great to read through, in particular: " It will test our players, it will test our staff, and it will test our supporters. Itā€™s easy talking about culture, environment, having a great club to be at, we believe in the plan, letā€™s do it our way, itā€™s the Norwich way ā€“ thatā€™s really easy when youā€™ve just won the league, really easy. Everyone believes it. Itā€™s now, in these periods ā€“ and I think I said this at the end of last season ā€“ this will all be tested. Itā€™s now going to be tested and weā€™ll find out more about peopleā€™s characters during this period. Weā€™re lucky that weā€™ve got people here who will support our players through that because this is a growth period for young players." For me, some supporters wont pass the test. They never do when things get difficult. But this time I do believe the majority will.

I reckon it's a bit rich to have a go at Maddison for being in a casino when more than half of all Premier clubs are sponsored by gambling firms...

Blimey, spineless bunch you lot aren't you? We've got RTB who spends his day reporting anyone who hurts his feelings and Jools getting triggered left right and centre and pleading to the mods to take the thread down, less someone else upsets him. Are these the guys who will be taking the streets if we don't Brexit?! My God, that would be worth watching. Kleenex on standy, and I don't mean to clean up the aftermath of RTB's weird lightsaber insertion fantasies.

While we are on Brexit Party and itā€™s sidekick Tories wannabeā€™s, the policies espoused in the Queens Speech are too familiar to those of us in the US. Taxes cuts skewed to the rich Elimination of environmental and financial regulations. Voter I.D. to suppress ā€œvoter fraudā€ when the statistics show there clearly isnā€™t any, but no move to a national photo I.D. Card A crack down on a non-existent crime wave that leads to a massive expansion of private prisons. Restictions on legal immigration / freedom of movement. Sounds like Britain has defacto become the (non-voting) 51st State of the Union, because it didnā€™t want to be the (voting) 27th State of the Union šŸ˜ž

The physical demands of playing international football are considerably higher than those of sitting at a table. There's nothing wrong with someone who is a bit ill deciding to sit in a warm, cosy building during the evening, which is exactly what he would've been doing had he stayed at home.

Heā€™s not blaming the supporters. Heā€™s just telling it straight with no nonsense, and some people canā€™t take it. But I love that myself, real honesty, nothing sugarcoated etc šŸ‘šŸ¼ In short, heā€™s actually giving massive credit to the supporters, acknowledging how important we are to the teams success, and the difference we can make. I know people love to get offended though, probably the same people who need to grow some instant b******s the split second we face a bit of adversity šŸ˜‰

Some people still don't get it that along with supporters being the twelfth man, they can also be the opposite and have a negative effect on the team. Most supporters are great and I am sure Webber is right that the majority will keep singing from the same hymn sheet, but we see on here how quick some people are to turn. Supporters can have a positive effect or a negative effect at a match - it is up to each individual to choose how they will be. We are in an incredible period at the club - still getting to grips with the PL and having to do that in a difficult injury situation - but with a club set up that is as good as at any time in our history......just look at the quality around the place, not just in the first team but in the U23's and academy. This is the best time to be a Norwich supporter - if a few people are losing the plot because of two away defeats and a home loss that was made all the worse because of the injury situation, then they have very short memories. It is less than four weeks since one of the most memorable occasions ever at CR. We need gumption, not snowflakery.

It's what I was saying in my OP. He was pretty brash on social media about them (fair enough in my opinion) but if you're in the public eye and do that it's entirely possible these kinds of media outlets will attempt to wage war on you. That's just how it goes.

That article is so weirdly written, like theyā€™re trying to turn the football world and the public against him. Itā€™s almost as if The Sun have got it in for him or something, but Iā€™m sure that isnā€™t the case...

Canā€™t see the problem. Englandā€™s camp would have been aware of the reasons heā€™s pulled out and were obviously happy with it
  40. 1 point
I also don't have a problem with what Webber is saying. I'm just a touch tired of it giving the usual suspects the chance to roll out their 'I'm a better supporter than you' smugness.

The US were there. They have been told to stand down, not fly air cover, and now pull the 1,000 troops out. Oh and now sending 1,800 to Saudi Arabia. This is nothing to do with the EU and you know it, itā€™s about US deliberately stabbing the Kurds in the back after they fought ISIS for us. The Kurds have been betrayed before and now have allied with Assad and de facto with Russia. Maybe thatā€™s the outcome the President wanted, although he now says he didnā€™t, but we know he has a serial history of lying every day, and ISIS that he claimed he had defeated, is back.
  42. 1 point
So let's see the EU step up to the plate and move their troops in to protect the Kurds. Of course they won't because they are full of p iss and wind and expect the US to take care of everything.

If only scientific data stretching back hundreds of thousands of years were as compelling as a sloganistic, nonsensical propaganda poster paid for by one of the energy profiteers hey? Then we may be able to convince the terminally dim like Jools that it's real. Don't let facts get in the way of bright coloursand bizarrely violent slogans though.

Jools, I teach Geography, I understand the environmental issues to a high level, as I have studied them to a high level. Climate change is not made up, and it's not exaggerated. That's a view shared by every credible scientist in the world, and backed up by tonnes of research. The fires in the Amazon are a direct result of Bolsonaro's policies, and to suggest otherwise is utterly ignorant. Mouthpieces like Delingpole who understand absolutely FA about the issue don't interest me in the slightest, nor do the conspiracy theorists on twitter who feel this is all a leftist stage show designed to discredit the right. It's not.
