7 pointsLAWRO'S PREDICTIONS All kick-offs 15:00 BST unless stated. Norwich City 12:30 Chelsea Norwich got lucky against Newcastle last Saturday. Pukki's wild hoof at the ball in the 1st half would have gone over the stand 99 times out of 100 whilst Newcastle would have got a deserved equaliser through Joelinton's bullet like header had the goalposts at Carrow Road been in the correct position. I don't get the fuss about Pukki. He's got lucky four times this season, he won't do it again whilst the Norwich lads and their mates who make up the team under manager David Fork will struggle against Kerry Dixon's power and the pace of Pat Nevin on the wing. Norwich 0 Chelsea 3

5 pointsI checked out your message board, where you called us āsnobbyā, and it seems that because we werenāt too enamoured with the quality of the Sheff Utd v Palace game, itās caused a mini meltdown - not quite of WACCOE proportions, but a meltdown nonetheless. Iām sorry if youāre offended because some of us, myself included, thought it was a game lacking in quality. I would love to say what a great game it was for the neutral, but if you have a look around at other supporters message boards theyāre all saying the same thing. Itās nothing personal. It just wasnāt an amazing game, and as yours and Palaceās relegation rivals, itās hard not to be pleased with what we saw. We played a poor team ourselves at the weekend, but the difference is we put them to the sword very convincingly indeed - you managed a 1-0 win. Whoās getting carried away here? I think we can all see that Wilder has you pretty well drilled defensively, as many people have stated on this thread, myself included. But I still canāt see what you and your fellow supporters are seeing in your attack - where are the goals going to come from? The likes of David McGoldrick etc (we know him well), do you genuinely believe you have the same quality offensively as us? There is no Pukki, Buendia, Vrancic, Hernandez, Cantwell, Drmic etc at Sheff Utd as far as I can see, or am I missing something? Time will tell of course, but Iām confident that our focus on attack, and a quality one at that, rather than defence will prove to be more successful in our attempts to staying up this season - sure, weāll take some beatings along the way, but I donāt think you have enough quality up top to surprise too many teams like we possibly can. Sorry if that sounds āsnobbyā or whatever but Iām just saying it how I see it. But credit to Wilder on his well drilled defence, you do look smartly organised there. As for us being at full strength, your friend is very misinformed. Weāve just lost Hernandez for 3 months, maybe more. And with total respect to Grant Hanley, our 4th choice centre back, but heās behind the pecking order in 99% of City supporters eyes, and we will certainly be a stronger unit when Zimmermann, or Klose, return from injury alongside Godfrey. We have new players yet to feature such as a CDM, Amadou from Sevilla, and a top GK in Fahrmann from Schalke. It maybe that once they get their chance in the side then weāll know what truly is our full strength side. At the moment, weāve played a poor team in Newcastle, and the Champions of Europe in Liverpool, of which we quite rightly got many plaudits for. We showed offensively we can trouble the best, and if it wasnāt for some uncharacteristic wayward shooting, that result may well have been different despite Hanley sending us on our way with an unfortunate own goal. In Palace youāve also played a poor team, and in Bournemouth, theyāre not the team they once were and I have a feeling they will be keeping an eye on the wrong end of the table this season too. So I think your posters perhaps need to temper their expectations until youāve also played someone significantly of note. As for āCanary Yellowā, whoās clearly a poster on here, and a two faced one at that, stating weāre ālunaticsā. Well, we have our fair share of characters on here (which is a good thing), but generally itās a very decent balanced forum with posters who live and breathe NCFC, sharing many different viewpoints - Iām not sure thatās in the Oxford dictionary under ālunaticā but perhaps our āfriendā Canary Yellow has a better understanding of literacy than ourselves. I would have thought āfanaticā was a more appropriate description myself, but never mind! Good luck for the season also. Will be very interesting to see how it plays out, Iām optimistic weāll surprise a few people and finish around where we are now. OTBC

4 pointsNo KG, my son has had a serious illness so it may be while before we get the bikes out again. Sorry to hear that Ricardo. Best wishes I know from all of us to your son and your family.
-
4 pointsAww Gawd - if Merson is backing us to stay up then relegation is almost a certainty!

3 pointsJamal was outstanding on Saturday, I agree. He looked like a proper winger with the ball at his feet; loads of trickery and little step-overs, and I don't think he got robbed once. Immense. And I don't usually go in for the grammatical pedantry on here, but can we please stop putting an apostrophe in Aarons? It's doing my head in. He does not belong to Aaron.

2 pointsTake the point and I hope you are right. However a bit disappointed Zimmerman canāt play this game. I was at the league cup game at the Emirates, and Giroud was in Zimms pocket all day long. Couldnāt do a thing and got hooked for Nketiah.

2 pointsIāll predict the pundits this weekend... If come Saturday at 2:15 weāve lost to Chelsea then the pundits will be back to form and saying āI fear for Norwich this seasonā However, if we were to beat Chelsea, you can bet your life that there will one or two murmurings of āNorwich the outside surprise package for Europa League this season?ā If we draw, then your guess is as good as mine folks!
-
2 pointsI'd call being 4-0 down after 45 minutes a thrashing to be honest, but each to their own.
-
2 pointsMartin should have been dropped earlier than he was but to say he isn't a club legend when he played a key role in back to back promotions followed by seasons where we finished 12th & 11th in the Premier League is a bit weird.
-
2 pointsNot expecting much in terms of a result but, as with Liverpool, as long as we play well and give them a good game, I'll be happy.
-
2 pointsThis was on the BBC comments after the match report. Big apologies if it has already been posted, but it did make me laugh... Thatās right 5-3-1-1 Steve Bruce team formation 5 pints before the match3 pies for lunch1 match to manage cluelessly and win 1 lossRepeat regularly all season

2 pointsI'm in no hurry to see him, if TT is doing the business and we continue to get results, I'm good with that.
-
2 pointsYou have made a good start, and I like the football you play, certainly offensively, but defensively there are question marks I would have thought. Some of you seem a little over confident and rather disparaging. Might be wise to hold off the bold statements for a while, we know only too well they can come back to bite you. Good luck with the rest of the season

2 pointsFun fact folks - Teemu Pukki has scored as many goals in the Premier League in just 2 games as Christian Benteke has scored for Crystal Palace in 2 SEASONS. Now if thatās not value for money then I donāt know what is!
-
2 pointsSo we're in the pub after the game chatting to these Newcastle fans and explaining Ray's Funds and how we'd added Ā£35.80 with today's game. Joe and Graham both gave me Ā£20 and then they put their change in a glass, did a collection which amounted to another Ā£43.33 So thanks to these guys and Fenway Frank's picks we added Ā£117.13 to the presentation pot for our wonderful Downes Syndrome football team ā½ššš¤š

1 pointNot sure what game you guys are watching but it was definitely a penalty in the wolves match! He said former Norwich man Ryan Bennett not fan ( although he must like it in Norfolk as he still lives here )
-
1 pointRoberts played for Celtic, Amadou in Europe, I canāt imagine they thought our support was particularly vociferous, however good our flags are.
-
1 pointA little homage to Teemu Pukki at the end of the show, if you have not seen it have a look on iplayer, prefer our song to the Schalke one.........
-
1 pointFor me, his career highlight is still helping Alexis Sanchez into the camera pit against Arsenal.
-
1 pointI see it was a bored 1p5wich fan that made a fake bid and then trolled the club.
-
1 pointYou have all been very welcoming. Iāve enjoyed your sight and itās good to get different insights from other clubs. You only taking four points not six? Thatās very charitable of you sir/Madam š

1 pointIndeed it was....see Norwich v Newcastle....now that was what I call a thrashing.

1 pointIt'll be funny if we're doing ok in a few months watching all the usual hogwash change their tunes. This is a prime example, Pukki's scored 4 goals and now we're certain to stay up??! Come on...
-
1 pointIt's tomorrow! I'm on the door and will let all pink Un posters in for just three pounds and kids for a quid š

1 pointInteresting stuff, and I would fail your test Orly, I was always a bit disappointed/unimpressed by him, especially as he came to us with a reputation that he could go on to greater things. Am I right in thinking that he was in the group of ex-players watching us last season (Ruddy and Madders were the others)?

-
1 pointAlways liked him and used to use him as a litmus test to work out if my fellow fans were berks or not (e.g. "that Rian Benet (misspelt) keep trying to play long passes but he aint no good at it")
-
1 pointThe value comes from the pressure he puts on Krul to up his game... which so far he has. So it's money well spent there.

1 pointChelsea are like Derby last season, learning the Lampard way. We will hopefully give them a really good game and Lampard will know what to expect from us, so it promises to be an open exciting game. Just as well this is a daytime match too!

1 pointIm sure he will get his chance, Im pleased we are not in the position where we have to bring players in and throw them straight in at the deep end. He will have to earn his chance and when he gets it he can be assured the manager will give him a good chance to prove himself. Evolution not revolution.
-
1 pointReally!!?? No one is using him as a āscapegoatā If having an opinion that the two injured centre backs are better players and saying that although Hanley has had two solid games his mistakes have led to two goals is āscapegoatingā then I give up. This is supposed to be a football discussion board. I sometimes wonder why anyone bothers with it as any legitimate discussion gets this nonsense
-
1 pointIt's funny how last week I was hearing pundits and journos alike stating that "Joelinton looks a handful" and "Almiron has something about him"... Yet more proof that most of these lunatics have absolutely no clue about players let alone football. Just because they're ex players, doesn't always mean they'll have fantastic insight! The journalists for the Nationals?? Even less insight for the most part! I know it's only one win and that we shouldn't get too excited (same as we shouldn't have been too let down with a loss last week) but the signs certainly are encouraging. Only problem is, it's becoming increasingly more difficult to fly under the radar!
-
1 pointHi mate, fair to say we are happy so far, and we still have 5 new signings who haven't kicked a ball yet, so there is a degree of optimism yes.
-
1 pointCorrect me if I'm wrong, but don't you have pretty much the same team from the Championship last season?
-
1 pointMy Ā£5 a Pukki goal is already looking to be expensive, but if it keeps us up, it is so worth it. I am hoping to be at least Ā£110 down by the end of the season, but I would take more!!
-
1 pointIf I were an Ipswich fan I'd be too embarrassed to get involved in anything with a couple of premier league clubs fans...
-
1 pointThe group of Newcastle fans I overheard afterwards and spoke to were offensively critical of their team saying they were destined for the championship, and when I suggested it was only two games into the season, they suggested we were Fu(&!ng $h14 as well! I duly wished them a fond farewell and good luck for season. That or Fu(& Off , cant quite recall now.
-
1 pointJoelinton - looks like theyāve found their very own Naismith. When you spend Ā£40m you should be in no doubt youāre signing a top drawer proven player, you donāt take a āpuntā with that kind of money. Early signs are that he will be one of the biggest money flops the Premier League has ever seen, makes me so grateful for what we have folks š
-
1 pointTeams will now be aware of Teemu, until yesterday I dont imagine many will have really considered him a threat in the premier. So, hes given them all a massive problem, how to stop him, and if they focus on that then more space will appear for Stieps, Emi, etc etc , its win win for us as we have a very mobile quick thinking attack minded team.
-
1 pointShearer isnāt a premier league quality pundit. Not sure why the BBC keep employing him on MOTD. He would be better served on CBBC.....and even that is debatable.....
