One thing is for sure this coming season, we will never give up, and we have the quality to turn around games that seem lost. We must get behind the team no matter what. I challenge anyone to watch this video without smiling, laughing or feeling a general sense of euphoria!

This is how it works, unfortunately - and the extremist elements are fully aware of it and use it to their advantage. It makes ordinary middle of the road commenting very difficult because it is hijacked too easily by extremists and is one of the reasons why defenders of issues such as homophobia get so twitchy whenever someone says something about the subject that isn't totally positive. It is becoming increasingly obvious that the mid ground - whether in politics, social issues or practically anything - is becoming very difficult. Lack of real discussion on the issues is the result and being seen to be totally ok with things is the only acceptable position to take. Sad really, so much debate is possible on so many issues, yet it can't happen because you have to be seen to be on the right side or you are condemned by the virtuous lobbiests and their hangers on who will not accept anything except total conformity to their world view.

Just one, I think; the biggest troll on the board. He even started a Twitter account to slate the lad publicly, how sad is that? Take him out the equation and I think everyone else is really supportive of Todd. I have reservations about whether he'll make it at PL level, but I'm rooting for him every step of the way.

Standards begin with the top man. He sets the pattern of behaviour. It could have been foreseen that Lambert's uncontrollable outburst at Carrow Road would have lowered the standards of the youngsters under his influence. 'You reap what you sow.' Some binners are in favour of all this stuff and call it "passion." I'm just proud of the fact that we have a level-headed, more civil person in Daniel Farke as manager of NCFC.

Great performance from Todd yesterday. Good understanding with Aaron's - similar to Crook/Bowen- and links well with Roberts. Could be on the verge of a great career - let's get behind him.

Steady hoggy, it's early doors but there may be some new scapegoats in our Summer signings for the doom-mongers to lay into. Krull (sic) could be in for a bumpy ride this season again too unless we keep a clean sheet every match.

See, I even used my mind trick to make Lakey think he has one already 😁

I like the idea that if you play in 'mock Barcelona' shirts and have stars, it might intimidate the opposition. Failing that, you can always headbut them, that'll work too.

Drmic looks a lot taller than I thought he was from other youtube videos. Perfect hat-trick. The header is a peach. Bodes well

Wouldn't we all with a WAG like that 🙂
  18. 1 point
I think the gist was that he started off playing, but then suffered a few muscular problems which kept him out for a while and never really established himself back in the team.

Yeah, she's extremely attractive. Like pretty much every footballer's WAG.

Morris is an odd one, think his best chances to make the grade have passed, and unfortunately he’s had his fair share of injuries too. Don’t think he’ll be competing with Pukki or Drmic any time soon, and his paying style is possibly better suited to the lower leagues. I’ll imagine he will be sold when the right offer comes in for him. interested to see what Spyrou can produce out on loan this season though, Adams is going to be a busy man!

Yeah, I surprised myself as I was pretty worn out shaving the corners off 50p's to make those 10p's......

Whilst I would like to think you are right, I'm not too sure. I recall there was a fair amount of Todd negativity when he was brought back into the first 11 cover for Emi's ban last season. He wasnt Emi, so he didnt stand a chance with some harsh judgements. A small group of 'fans' certainly showed their true colours there.

This could turn into a popularity contest between you and Lakey.

Cantwell played extremely well I thought. Arguably along with Roberts, Trybull and Lewis the pick of our players. another very encouraging display with the passing and movement looking sharp. The one caveat being conceding again from a set piece and that we remain massively unconvincing defending them. That really needs sorting out or it will cost us.

Couldn't agree more. Looking forward to seeing his development in the coming years. It boggles my mind that there is a small section of supporters on here who seem to want him to fail, luckily it's very small. Local, 21 year old with potential. I've got a lot of time for that.

Obviously I want to see all Norwich players do well, but I always like to see academy products, and especially local ones, do better than anyone. It's great for the club and for our identity to see 'one of our own' come through the ranks and make it. Unfortunately though, it seems some people have already decided that he's the new scapegoat. There always has to be one or two, and I think Todd has been selected already, for unbeknown reasons.

I'm surprised the man can walk, let alone run around a football pitch, given how big his balls must be to try something like that in the 101st minute or whatever it was.

Still think that dummy by Klose was the single best bit of individual skill by any of our players last season - just sublime. 🙂
  36. 1 point
Yep the attitude of the supporters is going to be vital. There will be games where we'll be behind to the likes of Watford or Bournemouth, but we know we're good enough to come back, so support, don't moan.
  37. 1 point
Yeah but you've already decided on him so how he plays is now irrelevant.

Reckon it could be Cantwell's season?

If anyone thinks Webber will have negotiated a poor deal by letting Marshall go for whatever it cost us, I can put them in touch with a Nigerian prince who could do with their help getting his money out of the country.

Unless the player and club agree otherwise, a player with three years left on his contract is owed three years of wages though, that is irrespective of whether he is transferred, so for the club the judgement is - what can we get for him v what are we committed to pay him? Agreeing to terminate a contract implies both sides see financial advantage to changing the status quo. As a free agent he can ask for higher wages as any new club will not also have to pay a transfer feee. NCFC lose any transfer fee, but reduce their future wage commitments - possibly for 2020 21, and 2021-22 but not this season, IMO.

Good on him. Not only is he an excellent writer but he has so many other strings with his video content, event hosting and such that he could surely turn his hand to virtually any media role. He’s seen an opportunity and gone for it, I hope it works out and he uses it as a platform to progress even further.

I’ve worked for American publications before and not found them much different to British ones to be honest. It’s an American company but the editor is British and they usually control the atmosphere of the news room, so think it will be fine. I think saying someone who is moving jobs is ‘selling their soul’ is pretty ludicrous to be honest and it isn’t like there is job security at any media company these days. Have you not ever changed job for a pay rise before? More and more people are paying subscriptions for news these days - whether the Atheltic’s move into football will pay off is to be seen but they are certainly getting the best writers around. The power of good sports writers has always been recognised by papers, the Times paid a lot of money to get Henry Winter out of his contract at the Telegraph knowing he’d bring a lot of readers with him.
