No offence but best we await confirmation of the above from our resident legal expert, City 1st, who’ll be along very shortly

    Are we still discussing Til..?

It’s great to see your star player young Dozell would see it as a step up to play in our under 23’s. As I doubt we will be winning every week this season I suspect we will be seeing plenty of your tosh.

I remember seeing that Gary Neville, England assistant at the time, said it was because that any player called up would need to have a future with the England team and they decided that at 31, Holt wouldn't really have much of a future in the setup. Bearing in mind that he was a lower-league journeyman who had just had his first season in the top flight and was probably just a flash in the pan, you can understand the logic. Did Holt deserve a call-up? Yes. But do I see where Neville was coming from? I did, yes. But when Rickie Lambert, a 31-year-old, lower-league journeyman who had just had his first season in the top flight and was probably just a flash in the pan received a call up just one year later under the same coaches, Neville's comments lost all credibility.

Perhaps Heise is seen to be more of a LWB and we're looking for a more conservative LB? OR ... its a groundless rumour.

it appears that the trophies we have won don't count either as the footage of the games is not in black and white 😊

Surprised that we're seeing Srbeny. Hope I'm wrong but I don't see him worrying Premier League defences

5-1, long range shot by Roberts. Apparently a screamer.

I doubt very much that anybody is interested but the Scum drew 0-0 away at the mighty Cambridge Utd and had a player sent off for headbutting.

Looks like we’ve certain trimmed all high earning non contributors and filled their places with young under 23 youth players, certainly looks like we’ve changed our philosophy and sticking by it regardless of what money comes in. Great to see, I’d much rather a settled squad with a really good youth set up with bags of potential to keep quality youngsters coming through.

You must be new to football, you clearly don't understand how it works. It's a money game, in which Clubs like Norwich can't compete, if we have a good season the big Clubs will be waving large cheques at our star performers. If we are relegated, we'll be asset stripped, the result is much the same. If you are indeed a Binner, then it's understandable, as you've not bothered the Premier League for a generation.

I'll never forgive Hodgson for leaving him behind, scored 17 that season and was overlooked in favour of Carroll who'd spent most of the season on the bench and managed 5 goals. Perhaps Hodgson felt that he owed his former Club a few favours, when Glen Johnson couldn't travel it appeared that the second best right back in England was Johnson's understudy, another who'd hardly played, any wonder why it was an unmitigated disaster.

Yep, MB’s earned the opportunity and is no more selling his soul than James Maddison did. His successor looks a great fit who knows what’s needed off-stage, including on non-match days. Whoever was doing Archie’s recruitment a decade or so ago did a good job with this pair – good luck to them both.

Ha ha, excellent; for the sake of debate I’ll reply as if you’re not just trolling with the hope that you might learn something. Get out of the 89,s and 90’s as football was a different world then Vince; in those days you could run a football on a few million, players cost a few million and there wasn’t the divide there is now between the Premier League and the Championship; in those days it wasn’t a shock if some random team did well; Leicester apart when was the last time a non big 6 club won the Premier League, they do this throwing hundreds of millions at it. I suggest if you don’t like the way in which the club is run and you don’t buy in to it, get yourself a season ticket down the road (there’s plenty available) and then see what spending money that you don’t have does for a club. Better still put your money where your mouth is, buy a club and throw millions at it and see how that works for you; I suspect not very well 👍🏻

The 2nd highest scoring English striker in the PL 11/12 and not picked for any England squad. Pathetic and shameful from Hodgson. A legend. What a period of time that was being a city fan. Here’s hoping for even better with our journey into the PL this time.

It's clearly click bait or someone that hasn't been listening to what's been said. Like it or not as fans we have to appreciate that the club is probably 51% assuming that we will get relegated and 49% that we'll stay up. Webber has commented on how if we get relegated we will be in great shape, we are not spending so we don't get in to debt again, players are being put on long contracts to ensure they are worth more if we do go down which should mean that if we do go down we will be in the strongest position to come up again. I'm just going to enjoy the season watching the best league in the world, some of the best players in the world and supporting our boys no matter what. We did superbly well getting promoted in the first place so let's enjoy.

What the **** is your actual problem? I have a fairly high tolerance when it comes to idiots but as an old man retired from the police you should really know better. I have zero interest in your pathetic online feuds and the little snipes from you are unnecessary and have gone on long enough. I suggest you block me and I'll do the same. Alternatively, meet me for a pint before a home match next season and you can vent all the problems you have with me in person instead of dragging it into half the threads I post on. Ta. 😊

Its nice having such affection for multiple players in the squad isn't it? Outside of my choosen starting 11, I genuinely have affection for Vrancic, Zimmermann, Cantwell, Tettey, McClean and (to a lesser extent) Srbeny. Probably in that order. I remember the Jason Jarret, Carl Robinson (etc) days when I struggled for one player I liked. I've currently got about 16.

That fat tyre fitter was 10x the player of RVW. I blame anybody and everybody involved in the transfer. Messi would have struggled in a Hughton team but RVW couldn't score in a Guardiola team. They were perfectly suited. I disagree. Fer is a good player. He lacked heart and desire whilst here but he could play. He could, in different circumstances ended up a top player.

I might not be saying this in a few months time if we need to start scrapping for points, but I’d much rather us go to teams like Liverpool and get stuffed 4-0 trying to win and play our way, than go there and lose 1 or 2-0 trying to keep things tight.... We aren’t strong enough defensively to keep the likes of the top 6 out for 90 minutes. Games against those sides are “bonus” games. If we lose, we lose. Go and try and win it, and if we still lose then it’s only what was expected anyway.

As an exile his reports were a must watch and his easy nature with people and his passion for the club and it's fans shone through everything. Very human and poigniant too, with his family events interweaving with the football last season. Don't really understand what he's moved to, but for me his future is very bright as a TV reporter or sports presenter and will follow his career with interest.

The sale of Liverpool away tickets was a shambles. The day Away Priority Members were supposed to be able to obtain them the phones appeared have no staff answering them. I phone at 09.00 and every minute for 14 minutes and got the ‘we are busy phone again later’. On this basis Away Priority Membership is a waste of money.

I’ve worked for American publications before and not found them much different to British ones to be honest. It’s an American company but the editor is British and they usually control the atmosphere of the news room, so think it will be fine. I think saying someone who is moving jobs is ‘selling their soul’ is pretty ludicrous to be honest and it isn’t like there is job security at any media company these days. Have you not ever changed job for a pay rise before? More and more people are paying subscriptions for news these days - whether the Atheltic’s move into football will pay off is to be seen but they are certainly getting the best writers around. The power of good sports writers has always been recognised by papers, the Times paid a lot of money to get Henry Winter out of his contract at the Telegraph knowing he’d bring a lot of readers with him.

Well i for one am very glad that we are preparing for our return to the Championship. Previously we just left ourselves open as hostages to fortune. Good to see we have finally learnt that lesson so whatever happens we will still be in a good place.

Do you believe the club do not have more than 3m to spend on transfer fees? I haven't seen anyone demanding obscene signings - only some more signings to improve the first xi. Each club gets £80m minimum just for competing in the league. Yes you get it over time, you also pay for transfers over time. There is a balance to be struck, 90% of Norwich fans know we cannot afford to blow 50m this window and risk the club. But we can afford to invest realistcally in players that will give us a better chance of banking the 80m next year.

Yep thats me , been going to a few away games every year for years,so had loyalty points, I am not paying £50 on the off chance I might get a ticket. Yep, same here, but my choice was - ok, I don't mind paying £50 (£40 in reality) for a membership, but not £100 for two so have bought a home membership thinking I would want to go to CR at least at once, but realise I have more chance of picking one up on the grapevine there and would have been better getting an away membership. My bad. I have sorted Chelsea without the need for membership, which I'm pleased about, so hopefully will get to a few more there, with or without the help of the membership. As for away games, last time I went to away games in the PL, I sometimes resorted to getting tickets sitting with the home fans - it's not so bad - and you get a great view and sense of how good our away support is looking across at a sea of yellow and noise that dwarfs home fans a lot of the time. I guess I'll be doing the same this season.
  47. 1 point
Exactly the same for me. I’ve targeted Oxford and Crawley though, no problem getting a ticket on general sale and two new grounds to tick off 😁

I don't believe I ever personally said you were 'a racist', and I don't think that using one racist term means that you are a de facto racist. However, your refusal to accept that it was a racist term hasn't helped with the way you're perceived on here.
