2 pointsSerious thread this time... we start our pre-season campaign against Arminia Bielefeld this afternoon. There's a livestream too, if you can find a way to watch it alongside the British GP, Wimbledon Men's Final and Cricket World Cup Final. Kickoff is 3pm. https://www.canaries.co.uk/News/2019/july/watch-live-dsc-arminia-bielefeld-v-norwich-city/

2 pointsFlakey really has shown himself up in the last couple of days. Piling in on threads that are about peopleβs passions, whether it be netball, cricket, cycling, or whatever, and filling with his pompous and bitter diatribe, is incredibly mean spirited. It reeks of arrogance and a lack of respect. Youβve always claimed to be an innocent victim and that itβs othersβ fault youβre misinterpreted, but hopefully most can see you for the attention seeking plank that you are.

2 pointsJust jarred his ankle on the pitch, which looks very soft. Imagine the sub was precautionary, he walked off the pitch himself unsupported. Talk of βthe end of his careerβ are probably a little rash.

2 pointsI always go on about the 1996-98 spell as very dire but this spell you mention was probably worse though like you and many others my mind has erased this spell! Amazingly our crowds in this fallow period were always 24,000+, another indication of our large wonderful support! Many younger fans who weren't about in this spell who get over critical at times need to realise that our track record since the League 1 season in 09/10 has been very impressive for a club of our size and won't always be like this. You've only got to look down the A140 to see what can happen to a similar sized club not run very well!

2 pointsThe grumbles always return when things are a bit ropey. Nothing unusual in that. I will be highly delighted if things go well but there never has and never will be any guarantee. Enjoy the ups because there will be downs. We are NCFC supporters and it's what we do.

1 pointGoing to start doing these as I enjoy messing about with creating graphics and stuff. Feel free to use as you wish. To save as phone wallpaper, just save the image and then set the image as homescreen. First one below π

1 pointWhat a great day for us sports fans, an epic Cricket final, Hamilton wining the British GP. Wimbledon having a long long final and the tour of France. AMAZING !

1 pointI don't want to get involved in this, but, yes, you have been relatively civil, but you could have been less antagonistic. It's fair enough to question people when you are in a conversation, but it can be done in a non-confrontational way, or just ignore it if you don't have a dog in that fight...

1 pointI can see your point, but sadly it's just the 'usual suspects' with their vendetta against him for speaking his mind against unfathomable odds and unspeakable oppression. If we'd all just listen to Lakey's every word a bit more and appreciate his altrustic wisdom, the world - and this forum - would surely be a better place. Poor old sod, he really is falling apart at the seams.

1 pointStill think Norwich will only get another centreback if they sell Hanley. Bringing in someone for the first few games is a difficult task. Once everyone is fit youβll have 5 centrebacks, which means probably two not even getting on the bench. I guess it will probably mean Rocky doesnβt go out on loan like originally planned - he might even come in to join the first team for the rest of the tour (seriousness of Godfreyβs injury dependent).

1 pointMy point about speeding is that you were quite prepared to justify your reasons for speeding. Ok, cyclists can be a pain in the backside but I reckon more people are killed through speeding than by the actions of cyclists. As to the cricket-if I pointed out why you are so wrong I would miss the end of the game so just take it as read that you are wrong please?

1 pointNothing as far as I could tell. He was just running back normally after losing a tackle & went down on his knees. He looked to be on the verge of tears. Really, really feel for him.

1 pointSecond effort: Pukki graphic nicked off twitter - I don't have it, so can't contact the creator (Stuart Greaves) to let him know but if anyone knows him then please tell him to let me know on here if he objects to me using it in this way.

1 pointI tend to agree with this. The danger for Villa is that they make a bad start and the owner thinks he's not getting his money's worth for his investment, loses patience etc. This is where the real danger for Villa lies as in this scenario, you often end up with a manager who wants to play in a different way/ doesn't "fancy" the players and things just deteriorate from here. This is what happened with Fulham last year and in other similar examples. This is the real strength of the Director of Football model when it is properly applied. Even if we had the money to spend, under our model, we would presumably recruit a players who fit "our style." If our manager leaves, for whatever reason, a new manager, would have to commit to a similar style and to using the players that we had recruited. Villa, and countless other clubs before them, have a history of spending big on players who successor managers don't rate. It's how clubs end up in real trouble. By all accounts, Villa were really classy to City when we played them at the end of the season, so I hope that they do stay up and that it works out for them (as long as they are below us of course!).

1 pointOops, and there's me railing against non-football threads.π‘ Oh well! Like I said, once the floodgates have been opened. George is coming along nicely, but Lando seems to have stolen his thunder somewhat.

1 pointIt keeps traffic on the Forum and where would be the fun if everybody had the same opinion.

1 pointA friend of mine is the same height as Crouchy but doesn't seem quite as tall... It's weird, but I think it's the fact that Crouch is SO skinny and all limby. It makes him look even taller somehow! π
