I don't know how the person who took this photo got their pet elephant up to the top floor of the Holiday Inn.

Have to say how impressed I am with the entire club top to bottom. Refreshing change in recruitment focussing on quality youth products being coached into our first team. Some very good youngsters there and added to this window. This Under 23 team would thump 4 or 5 past that binners 11, so hope we get them in the caraboa cup! Would be a great laugh to see our stars of tomorrow stuff the binners.

Had a reply to my letter today in the form of a phone call from Ben Kensell. He explained the situation again, pretty much in line with what he has said already in interviews, but I pushed him on the having to buy two memberships as an exile and that there ought to be an option for some kind of joint membership being available at less cost than the £100 outlay I and others will have to pay to enter the ticket lottery. He wouldn't say much on that other than to say that I should be able to get tickets when I want them, as long as I get in early in the process each sales window. So that is how it will have to be for this season. Very good to talk to him and appreciated the personal touch of a phone call. He stressed he wanted feedback on how things go with getting tickets so it will be interesting to see what happens through the season......but I shall be very disappointed if I shell out £100 for nothing and will let him know that! Time to get on with it now, but there is no doubt in my mind the reaction to the scheme got a lot more negative feedback than the club thought. Plainly there will be more consultation with fans and hopefully lessons learned, but the proof of the pudding for me will be if I get enough tickets to justify the £100 outlay.

Idah is being given the chance with the first team squad over pre-season so he may not be available for U23s if he takes it.

But it does get the juices going for the start of the season👍

I'd hope that if we sign Fährmann, we wouldn't guarantee him the number one shirt, just as I hope that Krul wasn't promised it either. They should both be number one-and-a-halves and have a fair scrap. Whoever has the most hunger and earns the shirt gets it.

We could have had Ross McCormack.

Need three keepers and Oxborough will go out on loan, or could even be sold. Third choice is generally an experienced player who chips in with coaching.

Good news, pleased for the lad. Amazed he survived the witch hunt though...

Totally agree with Lakey's thoughts, it really does not matter to me if we are in the PL or Champs, the most over riding and important thing for this club was to find a way to survive and if possible thrive to, on a set up that is mainly built on a self sustaining model. To do this is an era of English professional football where so many clubs are awash with rich owners who splash cash like its going out of fashion was and is, a massive undertaking and hugely ambitious. To do that and still retain the clubs unique position it holds regarding its image of being what it is, and in such a quick timeframe has been incredible. City now have a set thats built mainly on bringing the young ones thru and playing attracting football and of course those young ones will move on for, hopefully, the finance to keep the club in good health. Of course we all wish and dream of doing well in the top league, holding our own against the big boys and the first game of the new season shows how far weve come in such a short time. Does not scare me if we get tonked, its just glorious to think of our team being able to take to the field against the high and mighty. Bring it on. OTBC.

It's a **** version of Big Brother, full of no mark tosspots trying to be famous by being tosspots. Epitome of everything wrong with society today. None of them are coming over well because they're all self-obsessed ****wits. The only way any of us win is if Kim Jong-Un nukes the entire island.

He certainly looks a little unorthodox......... .....but the big question is:- Does he take a good penalty?

Hi All, Just found out I'd been debited £50ish for the reduced ifollow service after they sent a (singular) sneaky "if you don't get in touch with us we're going to charge you" email to me that I didn't notice. Cheeky sods. Just passing it on, in case it's happened to anyone else and they need to check their account (assuming you don't want or need the service this season).

I have to say, it's a very ballsy move on Todd's part to take the 14 shirt. Given some of the horseshít that was thrown his way after just a couple of average performances last season, let's hope the fans are more forgiving if he doesn't quite hit Hoolahan levels of awesome straight away. Brilliant news to see him sign a new contract alongside so many of our other title-winning heroes.

Taking Buendia, Aarons, Godfrey, Cantwell and Lewis out of the equation, this is a potential U23 team for next season: Mair Nizet Odusina Bushiri Barkarsson Payne Gilmour Fitzpatrick Adshead Power Idah With Mourgos and Jaiyesimi out through injury, and also the likes of Hondermarck, Spyrou, Ahadme, Mehmeti, Thorvaldsson and Milovanovic, we should have a much stronger setup and be a lot more competitive at PL Academy level next season. Coley, Jones, Richards, Morris and Bloomfield are out on loan already, and presumably a few others will be relocated by Neil Adams before the season starts- it's good that we'll be able to pick and choose which players will benefit most from PL Academy football (like Aarons/Lewis), and which will benefit best from loan time at other clubs (Cantwell/Godfrey).

I sincerely hope the design of the shirt is as bold as the pattern on training top - Love me a garish kit design. 90s kits were sublime (on the whole - not Norwich specific) - Pleased to see clubs moving back in that direction and away from naff plain ones.

Hmm... No hiding it. Yes he was! But it looks as though Belgium were under a lot of pressure for the majority of the match and, well, we haven't signed him for the first team. However, great goal for Belgium by Verschaeren. Maybe we should get him!

Let's not forget that even if these kids don't make it here, we could well turn a profit on them. We're bringing them in for a few hundred grand, and all it takes is to sell one for a couple of million and we've covered the cost of several.

Very roughly clubs have three levels of support- one when they are rubbish, one when things are looking hopeful and one when everything comes together and they are successful. For many clubs crowds can almost double between the first and last phases (look at Leeds and Sheff.Utd in the last few years). The ones who turn up during the terrible times are the clubs bedrock hardcore- and every single one of ours deserve a medal because they are an enormous part of why we are in such a healthy position. But that does not negate the fact that there are many who, for many different reasons, cannot/don't want to attend regularly. I'm sure Leeds fans aren't moaning about gloryhunters when they are boasting about having the biggest gates in the league. Apparently to some we are the only club in world football for whom our support when at the lower end of the Championship and even in League One is virtually the same as when we're playing Man United or Liverpool. There is no logic to that viewpoint. It may interest some that both in our relegation season and promotion back to the Championship, we averaged several thousand more than Leicester, Wolves, Southampton, Sheffield Wednesday and United did when they were promoted from league one. We were virtually on a par with Leeds. If we hadn't had such a restricted capacity I'd wager we'd have been similar to the 28,000 Manchester City achieved in the same position. But there's no evidence of the need for extra seats at all...🙄

Gutting this. However we've been lots better in the second half and have really taken it to the best team in the world- nothing to be ashamed of.

I'd imagine the reason is because the big manufacturers would only give us stock strips (as they have with ip****) and their yellow and green stock kits look crap. The errea kits are good quality and we get fully bespoke designs, we will be one of only a few teams in the prem that don't just have a rebadged stock strip...

For a Club in our situation every year in the EPL will be a survival challenge that's why it gets so dull for supporters. Money aside it can be a mundane league, especially with sparse games at irregular times. I like Webber's comment that the promotion paid for the Colney rebuild. You have to find ways to grow the Club and this, with Academy development is one way. We need to grow the stadium and its capacity which is hard for any side but we can only grow that way otherwise little rinsing schemes like 'Membership' are needed to increase revenue. Sponsorship and advertising would increase. I have no fear of relegation as the Club is sound. I just want us to have a go. I expect certain players to make the step up to the EPL like Buendia but more unexpectedly Stiepermann and Zimmermann.

There is also the need to address that fact that in the Prem Norwich won’t be the ‘aggressor’. In the Championship Norwich were the dominate team in pretty much every game. Teams sat deep and looked to counter and Norwich looked to dominate the ball and create chances. That won’t continue in the Prem. Norwich will be the team that has to defend and look to counter. They will dominate the ball in far fewer games. The mentality of opposition teams will be totally different - rather than seeing Norwich as one of the top teams, they will now be one of the weakest teams. There is a need to rebalance the squad so it is suited for this new challenge. Again, there isn’t the need to tear everything up and start again. But a few key improvements will be needed in key positions in order to deal with the different challenges that will be coming next season.

And on top of that, even if we made two or three key signings, we'd still be odds-on for relegation.

I'm seeing too many people on here getting nervous and worried about next season......THERE IS NO NEED! Ok, I know I'm clueless about football, I know I talk alot of guff (sometimes) but sometimes you just have to say.....COME ON!!!!! Stop mithering about the Premier blessed league and embrace the challenge. Enjoy it for goodness sakes, that was the message last season.....ENJOY IT! The challenge is there to be relsihed not to be timid and think we are just a little club in the east of England and how on earth are we going to compete against the mighty PL clubs.... What's the worst that can happen anyway? We could get relegated again....and that is what the pundits expect (and want) so it would be no surprise to anyone......so why the need for being worried? Are we desperate to stay up.....or is it a fantastic opportunity to have a free hit at the PL....even if we got relegated the club has a fantastic set up now for getting back up again. So if anyone out there is worried.....DON'T WORRY!!! BE HAPPY!! Pep talk over.
